What Is Agorapulse? Social Inbox, Publishing and Social ROI
By Joris van Huët · Agorapulse's own site
The short answer: if answering comments, messages and reviews is the job, more than posting, Agorapulse is built around that inbox, and it charges per user: Standard is $99 a month on monthly billing for each person, with 10 social profiles (pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026). The seat count is the number to model first.

Before you count seats:
- Multiply by people, not profiles. For example, three people on Advanced cost 3 x $199 = $597 a month on monthly billing, or 3 x $149 = $447 billed annually, at the rates on the pricing page.
- Try it on one profile you already answer for. The free plan gives one user three profiles, 10 scheduled posts and a basic inbox, per the FAQ on the homepage, and paid plans open with a 30-day trial without a card.
- Decide what the inbox has to prove. Response time is the usual measure, and data is kept for 6 months on Standard, 12 on Professional and 24 on Advanced, per the Inbox guide.
What Agorapulse does
The Inbox guide lists replies to comments, direct messages, mentions, reviews and ad comments across Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google Business. Around them sit moderation rules, saved replies, labels, assignments, sentiment, and approval workflows that hold a reply until a second person signs it off. Publishing, listening and reporting complete it, including a Social ROI report that, per the homepage, tracks traffic, leads and sales from organic posts.
Archie, the newer AI piece, turns a PDF, a web page, a video or an audio file into draft posts, per its conversation guide. The MCP connector, in beta, lets Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot read the inbox, reply, read listening and create draft posts, but not publish, per the MCP guide.
Who it suits, and who it does not
It suits brands where social is a service channel, agencies that moderate for clients, and teams that must show who answered what, and how fast. It suits less well a solo marketer who mostly schedules, and anyone who needs X, an add-on priced on request.

How it compares
Buffer. Buffer's community features reply to comments, with saved replies and AI suggestions, at $6 a channel on Essentials with monthly billing (Buffer pricing). Agorapulse wins once messages, reviews and routing between people matter.
Hootsuite. Hootsuite's Standard plan is $99 per user a month billed annually, and assigning and auto-routing messages is listed on Advanced at $399 (Hootsuite plans). Agorapulse puts assignments on Professional, $119 billed annually.
Sprout Social. Sprout's consolidated inbox comes with Standard, $199 per seat a month on annual billing for 5 profiles, while its $79 Essentials plan is pitched at publishing workflows (Sprout Social pricing). For an inbox, Agorapulse costs less per seat and connects twice the profiles.
A vendor's ROI report grades its own homework: it counts the visits and sales it can tie to a post's tracked links, not what would have happened without the post. Read it as a count of converting clicks, not proof of cause.

FAQ
How far back does the inbox go when I connect a profile?
Agorapulse syncs 32 days of inbox data from the day a profile is connected, and comments on posts older than that window do not sync, per the Inbox guide.
Can the MCP connector publish posts?
No. It creates drafts, which you schedule and publish from Agorapulse, and replies sent through it are queued if an inbox approval workflow is active.
Which AI subscriptions does the connector need?
Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise, ChatGPT Go, Plus, Pro or Team, or Copilot Studio, with an admin role, per the MCP guide.
