What Is Birch (Revealbot)? Rules That Run Your Ad Accounts

By Joris van Huët · Birch (Revealbot)'s own site

The short answer: You are not misreading it: Birch's pricing FAQ says every feature comes with every plan, while its help centre puts automated rules on Pro only, and the plan cards side with the help centre. So the plan that buys Birch's core product, rules that pause, start and rebudget ads on their own, costs $99 a month on monthly billing for up to $10,000 of monthly ad spend (pricing, Essential vs Pro, checked on 26 October 2026). Birch is the renamed Revealbot.

Red flags before you buy:

  1. The bill follows every connected account. Birch counts the spend of all ad accounts linked to a workspace, not only the spend its rules touch (billing). For example, on the $249 Pro tier with a $30,000 limit, a month at $35,000 adds $5,000 x 0.83% = $41.50 to the next bill (additional charges).
  2. Your first rule already exists, in someone's head. If a media buyer pauses ad sets each morning once cost per purchase passes a number, that number is the first rule, and Birch ships templates for the common ones (creating rules).
  3. Logs are the proof. Every rule keeps a log of each check, the items it touched and the values it saw (rule logs).

What Birch does

A rule picks its targets with filters, tests conditions joined with AND or OR in nested groups, and acts: pause, start, change a budget or bid, duplicate, notify. Birch checks rules as often as every 15 minutes, can compare a metric with its own value last week or with the top 10 for that metric, and reads custom metrics and AppsFlyer, Adjust or Hyros data (homepage). One rule can cover up to five ad accounts that share a currency.

Birch AI turns a sentence into a draft rule you review before it goes live, Stage builds ads in bulk from Google Drive and Sheets, and Hub sends server-side conversions to Meta (getting started). Birch MCP, in beta, lets Claude, ChatGPT or Codex read rule logs and pause or activate rules, and stays read-only for campaigns (MCP overview).

Who it fits

Media buyers and agencies with many ad sets and thresholds they already trust, and app teams whose install data lives in AppsFlyer or Adjust. It fits badly in a small account with little daily spend, because rules need data: Birch's pause examples pair every metric with a spend or impressions floor, since a metric with no data reads as zero (pause rules).

What it costs

Monthly billing by ad spend limit, from the additional charges article, checked on 26 October 2026:

Monthly ad spend up toEssentialProPro overage above the limit
$10,000$49$990.99%
$30,000$149$2490.83%
$75,000$299$4990.67%
$150,000$499$7990.53%
$300,000Not offered$1,2990.43%
$500,000Not offered$1,7990.36%

The two columns carry Birch's incentive, since rules, its core product, are sold only in the dearer Pro column. Yearly billing gives 12 months for the price of 11, and at the $10,000 tier the pricing page shows Pro at $1,090 a year. Yearly plans carry no overage, but past the limit rules cannot be edited or created until the next month. New customers with an EU billing address have been billed in euros by Birch's EU entity since 13 October 2026 (EUR billing).

The help article says upgrading can be cheaper if you often go well over the limit; the sum decides where. For example, on the $249 tier a $40,000 month costs $10,000 x 0.83% = $83 in overage, while the next tier costs $250 more, so the step up only pays once overspend passes $250 / 0.0083 = $30,120.48.

Birch next to Madgicx

Madgicx also prices by ad spend, with one plan, Pro Complete with AI, at $45 a month on monthly billing for accounts spending under $1K, and a 7-day trial (Madgicx pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). Its pages lead with Meta and an AI marketer. Choose Birch when you can state the rule and want it enforced every 15 minutes across platforms; choose Madgicx when a Meta account needs recommendations before rules.
