What Is Dropcontact? EU Email Finder and CRM Cleaning
By Joris van Huët · Dropcontact's own site
The short answer: for an EU team whose CRM is full of half-filled contacts and duplicates, Dropcontact is the narrow, careful choice: it finds and verifies business emails from a name and a company without a contact database of its own, and its file plans start at €29 a month for 500 credits on the pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026. Cleaning inside HubSpot or Pipedrive is a separate annual subscription priced by CRM size.

What decides it:
- You pay for results only. A credit is spent when a verified business email comes back or an address you supply is checked, and refunded when nothing is found, per the credit article. For example, a file of 1,000 contacts that returns 700 emails uses 700 credits, within the 1,500-credit Starter tier at €59 a month.
- It works on data you hold. First name, last name and company name are enough, or a website, domain or LinkedIn URL for the company, per the input article.
- The CRM test ends in a report. The free 14-day test processes contacts whose first names start with A to D, then emails a report on what it enriched and cleaned, per the deployment article. Read it before you sign.
What Dropcontact does
On the homepage, enrichment adds confirmed emails, LinkedIn profiles, websites, company size, industry and, in France, the SIREN code. Cleaning normalises names and titles and fixes swapped first and last names, and inside a CRM it merges duplicates, which the homepage says works even when two records share no field. Verification runs on Dropcontact's own servers. Files go in by drag and drop; Google Sheets, an API, an MCP server, Zapier, Make and n8n cover the rest.
Who it suits, and who it does not
It suits a HubSpot or Pipedrive team in Europe, French ones in particular, that wants a cleaner CRM without another vendor's database, and a marketer who wants files verified before import.
It suits less well a team that needs new prospects, since there is no database to search, or one that runs on Salesforce, which is announced but not live.
Its GDPR article says Dropcontact stores no personal data, processes in the EU, and had an on-site CNIL audit that closed in November 2020. Every vendor's GDPR page argues against the rival model; read this one as a design choice, not a release from your duties, since Article 21 of the GDPR lets anyone object to direct marketing.
Prices
File and API plans in euros, checked on 26 October 2026 on the Dropcontact pricing page; yearly billing shown per month:
| Credits a month | Starter, monthly | Starter, yearly | Growth, monthly | Growth, yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | €29 | €24 | €35 | €29 |
| 1,500 | €59 | €49 | €72 | €60 |
| 4,000 | €79 | €66 | €120 | €100 |
| 11,000 | €199 | €166 | €303 | €253 |
Tiers run to 150,000 credits. Growth adds carry-over, LinkedIn enrichment, job title cleaning, company change detection and company data. Sign-up includes 50 free credits. File credits do not work in the CRM, which needs its own 12-month licence, revised yearly by CRM size, per the CRM terms article; the first year costs more because it covers the first pass over your base, per the setup price article. Priced that way, the renewal Dropcontact collects each year tracks how many contacts your CRM holds, not the cleaning left once the first pass is done.
How it compares
Clay is a builder that buys from 150+ providers and adds AI research per row, from $185 a month for Launch on its pricing page, read on 26 October 2026 like Prospeo's; it can run Dropcontact as a step. Choose Dropcontact for clean records with no building, Clay when the list needs logic around the data.
Prospeo works the other way: a database of profiles, processed under legitimate interests with an opt-out, that finds new people and mobiles, with 100 free credits a month on its pricing page. Use Prospeo to source contacts you lack, Dropcontact to repair the ones you have.

FAQ
Does Dropcontact find mobile numbers?
Not from files or the API, which return company phone numbers, per the phone article. The Enterprise CRM suite lists mobiles taken from signatures in your own email traffic.
Can I use it for one file and cancel?
Yes. The pricing page says you can subscribe, process the file and cancel at once, keeping access until the billing period ends.
What do I do when a contact asks to be deleted?
The GDPR request article suggests replacing their email in the CRM with a gdpr@ address on your own domain; Dropcontact then stops processing the record.
