What Is Renderforest? Template Videos, Logos and Sites
By Joris van Huët · Renderforest's own site
The short answer: if you need one explainer a quarter, you do not need a Renderforest subscription: a single HD1080 export is $24 on the pricing page, against $39 a month for Pro on monthly billing (pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026). Renderforest is a browser maker for template videos, logo reveals, AI-generated clips, logos and simple websites, for small marketing teams with no designer on staff.
Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.
What decides the plan:
- The exports in a year. For example, three explainers a year bought as single HD1080 exports cost 3 x $24 = $72, while Pro billed annually is $19 a month after its first year, 12 x $19 = $228, per the pricing page.
- The brand you already have. Templates take your hex colours and your own TTF or OTF fonts (styling article), and Create with AI accepts a script of up to 10,000 characters plus your logo (editing guide).
- The export window, before you pay. Templates export in HD720 on Lite, HD1080 on Pro and 4K on Business, and the export window sets a single purchase beside a subscription (single export article).
What Renderforest does
The vendor's own summary calls it "an AI creative platform for making videos, images, logos, designs and websites", with 1,200+ motion-designed templates: explainers, intros and logo animations, promos, slideshows and social formats. Beside them sit third-party generative models such as Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 and Seedance, its own AI engine, a logo maker, mockups and a website builder (homepage). The same summary says what it is not for: frame-accurate editing and full-scale cinematic production.
Who it suits
Small businesses, marketing and HR teams, trainers and freelancers, the audience its summary names, who need branded video quickly and now and then, often alongside a logo or a one-page site. The licence matters more than the features for anyone working for others: Lite and Pro cover your own content only, client work needs Business, and free exports are for personal, non-commercial use with the watermark left on (commercial use article).
Prices and credits
USD, checked on 24 October 2026 on the Renderforest pricing page, which ran a Halloween sale that day.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually, per month | Credits | Template export | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $15 | $9 | 800 a month | HD720 | 10 GB |
| Pro | $39 | $19 ($13.3 in the first year during the sale) | 2,400 a month | HD1080 | 50 GB |
| Business | $59 | $39 ($27.3 in the first year during the sale) | 6,000 a month | 4K | 100 GB per seat |
One-off purchases on the same page: a video export in HD1080 for $24, a logo pack with SVG files for $29, a mockup for $5. The help centre's plan guide still lists 400, 1,600 and 3,000 credits a month for the three plans, so screenshot the pricing page on the day you buy.
How it compares
Animaker. Animaker leans on character and whiteboard animation, with a watermarked free plan and Starter at $300 a year on annual billing. Choose it when a character carries the story.
Vyond. Vyond sells animation to teams that produce every week: AI avatars, text to video and 650+ voices, from $58 a month billed annually for one user. Choose it for a steady L&D or comms output; Renderforest suits the occasional video that comes with a logo and a site.
The single-export article ends by suggesting you weigh a subscription before buying one video. A help page that argues for the subscription is still a sales page; the export count in the list above is the test.
Getting started
Build the video on the free plan and preview it; money only changes hands at export. How to use Renderforest makes a product explainer from a template.
FAQ
Can I use free-plan videos for my business?
No. Free content is for personal, non-commercial use and the watermark must stay, per the commercial use article.
What happens to a free account I stop using?
After 60 days without a login you get an email; log in within 10 days or the files are deleted for good. Subscribers and past buyers are exempt (inactivity policy).
Why did YouTube flag my Renderforest video?
Claims on paid videos usually come from Blue Fox, Renderforest's music composer, and Renderforest says it helps remove them within hours. Your own music avoids them (copyright article).
