What Is Beautiful.ai? Smart Slides and Team Templates
By Joris van Huët · Beautiful.ai's own site
The short answer: you are not misreading the pricing page: the Team card says $40 a month billed annually includes 3 users, while the FAQ on the same page charges $40 per user a month for teams of 2 to 20 (pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026). For three people that is $40 or 3 x $40 = $120 a month, so get the figure in writing before the trial card is charged. Beautiful.ai is presentation software whose Smart Slides rearrange spacing and layout as you type, and it suits teams that rebuild the same pitch, QBR or board deck again and again.
Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.
What to settle first:
- One deck or a year of them. Pro is $14.50 a month billed annually, and the page offers the same plan at $45 billed monthly for one-off projects (pricing page). For example, a single board deck needed this month costs $45, against 12 x $14.50 = $174 for the year.
- The PowerPoint files you already own. They import, but as Classic Slides, which do not adapt the way Smart Slides do, per the template guide. Budget time to rebuild the slides people use most.
- Whether anyone reads the result. The analytics article lists total and unique views, completion rate and average time per slide, and tracking stops on decks with Loop Playback switched on.
Slides that arrange themselves
The product's centre is the Smart Slide: over 300 layouts that keep alignment, spacing and hierarchy as content changes, per the homepage. A Classic Slide is the blank canvas for when you want no guardrails.
The AI works in stages: prompt, files or links in; a text outline back, which you edit; then theme, image source and language; then designed slides. Slide AI regenerates one slide at a time and can preserve exact text (Slide AI article).
The Team plan adds brand kits, team templates, shared slides that update in every deck when edited, and roles: Owners and Librarians curate, Members build. An MCP connector lets an AI assistant create decks from those templates under the signed-in user's permissions (MCP article).
Who it suits
A sales or marketing team where five people send five versions of the same deck, and a brand owner tired of drifting logos and footers. A PowerPoint add-in serves colleagues who will not leave PowerPoint.
It suits less well a designer who wants a free canvas, or a team living in Google Slides, where exports drop video, audio and animations.
Pro, Team and Enterprise
Checked on 26 October 2026 on the Beautiful.ai pricing page, in USD:
| Pro | Team | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Billed annually | $14.50 a month, one person | $40 a month (card: includes 3 users; FAQ: per user) | Custom |
| Billed monthly | $45 | $50 | Custom |
| Seats | 1 | 2 to 20 | Unlimited |
| Team library | None | 5 themes, 10 templates, 50 shared slides, 100 assets | Unlimited |
| Security | SSO, SCIM, audit logs |
Refunds are narrow: annual plans may get a partial refund if asked within 24 hours of purchase or renewal, and monthly plans get none (refund policy). The 14-day trial needs a card on day one and becomes a paid subscription when it ends, per the trial article, so the day-15 charge is the default and stopping it is a task you schedule, from a desktop or laptop.
Against PowerPoint, Gamma and Decktopus
- PowerPoint comes with Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot, $23.50 per user a month paid yearly, Copilot editing included (Microsoft 365 plans). If the company already pays for it, Beautiful.ai has to earn its seat on locked team templates.
- Gamma bills every member, and its Business plan adds 100 custom domains for publishing gammas as sites (Gamma business article). Pick it when decks often become web pages.
- Decktopus generates each deck fresh from a topic and coaches the delivery. Beautiful.ai is for the team that reuses one approved deck.
Getting started
