What Is Clearout? Verification, Finder and Form Guard
By Joris van Huët · Clearout's own site
The short answer: to clean one list, buy Clearout's one-time pack of 10,000 credits for $65, which never expires; a subscription only earns its place once forms or a CRM send it addresses every day, and then it starts at $23 a month for 3,000 credits on monthly billing (pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026). Clearout is an email verifier with a finder, a form validator and a prospecting database on one credit balance, for marketing teams whose bad addresses come through forms as much as through imported lists.

Count the credits per job before you pick a plan:
- Each tool spends at its own rate. The pricing guide charges 1 credit per verified address, 4 per email found (2 for a role address) and 2 per form field Form Guard checks. For example, 500 sign-ups a month with the email and phone fields checked use 500 x 2 x 2 = 2,000 credits, inside Starter's 3,000.
- Start where the addresses already sit. A Google Sheets add-on, a WordPress plugin and HubSpot and Salesforce integrations let the first test run in the sheet or CRM you use today, on the 100 free credits every new account gets.
- Hold it to its own numbers. Addresses flagged Safe-to-Send "Yes" and mailed within 24 hours are covered by a promise that the bounce rate stays at or under 3%, per the verifier docs. Check that line on your first send.
Four tools on one balance
The verifier checks addresses singly, in bulk or through the API and returns valid, invalid, catch-all or unknown, with a Safe-to-Send flag on top, as the verifier docs set out; Deep Verify takes a second pass at catch-alls and addresses behind secure gateways.
The finder works from a name and a company or domain, with a confidence score. Form Guard sits on your web forms and checks email, phone and name fields as the visitor fills them in, blocking disposable, gibberish or role addresses as you configure it, per the Form Guard docs. Prospecting and a LinkedIn extension add contacts, and a hosted MCP server gives Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor 14 tools for verifying and finding.
Where it fits
It fits a team with web forms feeding a CRM, since Form Guard checks phone and name fields as well as email, and a small team that wants verification and a finder on one contract.
It fits less well a team that needs warm-up and placement tests with its verifier: neither appears in the product list on Clearout's homepage.

Clearout against ZeroBounce and Emailable
ZeroBounce charges $129 for 10,000 pay-as-you-go credits but bundles warm-up, placement tests and DMARC monitoring into its ONE subscription, per its pricing page. Choose ZeroBounce when list hygiene and inbox monitoring should come from one vendor; choose Clearout when the forms are the leak.
Emailable sells 10,000 credits for $60 and has a form widget for email fields, on its pricing page. Clearout costs a little more for the same pack and adds the finder and the phone and name checks.
Getting started
How to use Clearout puts Form Guard on a sign-up form, from pricing the checks to reading blocked leads. Test on the free credits first, for a reason the pricing guide spells out: Clearout keeps a subscription payment whatever happens, and keeps a one-time pack once more than 25% of its credits are used, so the 100 free credits are the only trial you can walk away from at no cost.
FAQ
Do Clearout credits expire?
No. Purchased credits never expire and unused subscription credits roll over, though credits bought at a discount can carry an expiry date, says the pricing guide.
What does Safe-to-Send mean?
Clearout's verdict on top of the status: Yes is safe if sent within 24 hours, No is invalid, and Risky sits between, usable by the verifier docs when the bounce rate only has to stay below 5%.
Can I use Clearout from Claude?
Yes. Add https://mcp.clearout.io/mcp as a custom connector and sign in with your Clearout account. The MCP docs say the server is free to use; its tool calls spend the same credits as the dashboard.
