What Is Emailable? Pay-As-You-Go List Verification
By Joris van Huët · Emailable's own site
The short answer: if you verify a list a few times a year, stay on Emailable's pay-as-you-go credits: 10,000 cost $60 and never expire, while a subscription takes 15% off, $51 a month for the same 10,000, in exchange for a charge every cycle (pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026). Emailable is a list verification service with an API, a form widget, ESP connections and inbox placement reports, for marketing teams that check a list where it lives, in Mailchimp, HubSpot or Klaviyo, before a send.

Price the job before the plan:
- Count the cleans, not the months. For example, two cleans a year of a 10,000-contact list cost 2 x $60 = $120 on pay-as-you-go, while the 10,000-credit subscription costs 12 x $51 = $612 a year and leaves 100,000 of its credits unused, using the pricing page. The minimum purchase is 5,000 credits.
- Start from where the list sits. The integrations page connects ActiveCampaign, Brevo, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp and Salesforce among others, so the list need not leave the ESP. New accounts get 250 free credits for a sample.
- Hold it to its guarantee. No more than 1% of addresses verified as Deliverable should bounce, 3% for Microsoft mailboxes, if the list has 1,000 or more opt-in addresses, you mail within 24 hours of verifying and you claim within 72 hours, per the guarantee.
Verification, then the extras
Each address comes back as Deliverable, Risky, Undeliverable, Unknown or Duplicate, with a reason and a quality score from 0 to 100, as the results docs set out. Unknown results and duplicates within a list are refunded to the balance when the list finishes.
A widget checks addresses at the point of capture on any HTML form, per the homepage. Inbox reports send your campaign to a seed list and show placement at Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo with authentication, spam scoring and blacklists, and blacklist monitors check over 120 lists every 12 hours, per the credits docs. For agents, a command-line tool lets Claude Code or Codex verify a file in plain language, from the AI agents page.
The right buyer
A marketing lead who cleans an ESP audience before campaigns, or a developer who needs a verification API with live and test keys. Uploaded lists are deleted for good 30 days after upload, or sooner if you delete them, per the bulk verifier docs.
It fits less well a team that needs to find new addresses: Emailable verifies, it does not search. A B2B list heavy with accept-all domains is a weaker fit too, since a result stays Risky when the domain gives no proof either way, per the accept-all docs.
Credits and prices
USD, checked on 26 October 2026 on the Emailable pricing page. Subscriptions can be monthly, quarterly or yearly; the monthly prices are shown.
| Credits | Pay-as-you-go, one purchase | Subscription, per month |
|---|---|---|
| 5,000 | $38 | $32.30 |
| 10,000 | $60 | $51 |
| 25,000 | $141 | $119.85 |
| 100,000 | $420 | $357 |
| 1,000,000 | $2,100 | $1,785 |
One credit pays for one verification, in bulk, single, API or widget. An inbox report uses 100 credits and each blacklist check 5.
Against ZeroBounce and Clearout
ZeroBounce charges $129 for 10,000 pay-as-you-go credits and adds warm-up, placement tests and DMARC monitoring in its ONE subscription, on its pricing page. Choose it for scored catch-alls and monitoring in one place; choose Emailable for plain verification at half the pack price.
Clearout sells 10,000 credits once for $65 and adds an email finder and Form Guard, which checks phone and name fields too, per its pricing page. Choose Clearout when you also need to find addresses or police a form beyond the email field.
Getting started
How to use Emailable cleans a Mailchimp audience and explains why the export back to Mailchimp is the real decision. If the subscription tempts you, read how it bills: Emailable reloads credits and charges every cycle, and unused credits roll over, per the credits docs, so the 15% saving is paid for by the months when no list needed checking: that money is already with Emailable, held as credits until you find a use for them.
FAQ
Do Emailable credits expire?
No, neither bought nor subscription credits, per the credits docs.
What does a Risky result mean?
The address may be valid but has quality or deliverability concerns, often an accept-all domain or a role address. The results docs leave keeping or removing them to your list standards.
Can an AI agent use Emailable?
Yes. Install the command-line tool, run it once to sign in, and it offers to install a skill for Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode; the agent then verifies files on request and uses your normal credits, per the AI agents page.
