What Is Dataslayer? Connectors Priced per Destination

By Joris van Huët · Dataslayer's own site

The short answer: if one Google Sheet holds your Google Ads, Meta Ads and GA4 numbers, Dataslayer's Starter plan at $35 a month billed annually covers it, but the day the same numbers must also feed Data Studio you are buying a second licence, because every plan covers one destination (pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026). Dataslayer is a Madrid-based tool that moves marketing data from 60+ platforms into spreadsheets, BI tools, warehouses and AI assistants (homepage).

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

Before you pick a tier:

  1. Price the second destination now. For example, Sheets plus Data Studio on Starter is 2 x $35 = $70 a month, less the 10% the pricing page gives for two destinations bought together: $63.
  2. Count accounts inside each platform. Starter allows 3 per connector, and the accounts article counts each ad account, GA4 property and store on its own, so four client Google Ads accounts already pass it.
  3. Test one query free. After the 15-day trial the account keeps one connector, one account and one manual refresh a day (pricing FAQ), enough to check a week of spend against the platform.

What Dataslayer moves, and where to

Core destinations (Google Sheets, Excel, Data Studio, Power BI) carry unlimited rows on paid plans. Enterprise destinations such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift and S3 carry monthly caps of 5,000 rows on Starter, 100,000 on Advanced and 2 million on Pro (pricing FAQ). From Advanced, AI Insights adds blending, alerts and an MCP server that Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot can query (MCP billing article).

By default nothing is stored: data goes from the platform's API to your destination through an encrypted cache of about 40 minutes (data handling article).

Where it fits, and where it does not

It fits paid media teams and agencies who report in Sheets or Data Studio, and teams leaving Supermetrics: the Sheets add-on imports Supermetrics queries for twelve sources, Google Ads, Facebook and LinkedIn among them (migration article).

It fits less well when one team wants the same data in three tools, since each is a licence. Customers on a plan from before February 2026 should know that any change moves a legacy plan to the new pricing for good (pricing change article).

Plans and prices

In dollars, checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page; its FAQ quotes euros (29€, 99€ and 299€ a month billed annually), so expect either currency. Each price buys one destination.

Next to Supermetrics and Catchr

Supermetrics also charges per destination, from $44 a month billed yearly, but puts BigQuery in its Enterprise tier (Supermetrics pricing). If a warehouse is on this year's plan, Dataslayer prices it in public.

Catchr sizes plans by platforms and accounts, with unlimited users and its reporting destinations in one subscription from $24 a month (Catchr pricing). Two or three destinations favour Catchr; one sheet makes them close.

Getting started

How to use Dataslayer builds a weekly paid media sheet. At checkout, know this: the bundle discount applies only to destinations bought together, so the checkout is built to sell the second licence on the day you came for one. Buy it when a report needs it; the 10% on the pricing page is all you give up.

FAQ

Does Dataslayer keep a copy of my data?

Not by default; an optional warehouse runs on AWS in Ireland or on your own servers (data handling article).

Can I move my Supermetrics queries across?

In Google Sheets, yes: Tools, then Import from Supermetrics, then refresh all queries once the confirmation email arrives (migration article).

Should I leave an older Dataslayer plan?

Only if you need what it lacks. Legacy plans keep their price, but AI Insights is reserved for the new plans, and upgrading or cancelling ends the old price permanently (pricing change article).
