What Is ExactMetrics? GA4 Reports Inside the WordPress Admin
By Joris van Huët · ExactMetrics's own site
The short answer: if your site already runs MonsterInsights, ExactMetrics brings nothing new: both are sold by MonsterInsights, LLC under one general manager, at the same prices, with Plus at $99.50 for the first year on one site and Pro at $199.50 on five (pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026). For everyone else, ExactMetrics is a WordPress plugin that installs Google Analytics 4 without code and shows its reports inside the WordPress admin, for owners and agencies who would rather not work in GA4 itself.

Before you choose a licence:
- Price two years, not one. The 50% discount is introductory and renewals are at full price, per the pricing page. Pro at $199.50 and then $399.00 comes to $598.50 over two years.
- Start from the free plugin and the GA4 property you own. ExactMetrics Lite is on wordpress.org, and upgrading later loses nothing, because the history sits in GA4, not in the plugin (upgrade guide).
- Look for the events in GA4 itself. Each addon writes named events there; the Forms addon sends form_impression and generate_lead, found under Engagement, Events (Forms guide).
A GA4 front end inside WordPress
ExactMetrics connects to a GA4 property through Google sign-in, requires every permission it asks for, and puts the tracking code on each page (connection guide). The reports then live in the admin, with landing pages, campaigns, search keywords, site speed and, from Plus, a realtime view.
The paid addons replace tracking a developer would write: eCommerce for WooCommerce and other store plugins, Forms for WPForms, Formidable and other builders, and PPC Tracking for Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok and Pinterest tags (PPC guide). Privacy Guard, from Plus, strips names and email addresses from URLs and form data before they reach GA4 (Privacy Guard). AI Chat answers questions about the GA4 data on report pages, on credits that reset monthly: 500 on Lite, 5,000 on Plus, 10,000 on Pro (AI Chat guide).
Good fit, poor fit
A good fit: a WordPress site where marketing owns the reporting and nobody edits theme files, or an agency, where one Agency licence covers 25 client sites. A poor fit: a site off WordPress, WordPress.com below the Business plan, or a site already running another GA plugin, which the FAQ asks you to remove first.
Licence prices, first year and after
USD a year, checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page.
| Licence | First year | Renewal | Sites | Credits included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plus | $99.50 | $199.00 | 1 | 5,000 |
| Pro | $199.50 | $399.00 | 5 | 10,000 |
| Agency | $399.50 | $799.00 | 25 | 20,000 |
| Agency, 100 sites | $699.50 | $1,399.00 | 100 | 30,000 |
Every purchase carries a 14-day refund, and the FAQ says a licence renews automatically each year at the current renewal price. The card prints the first-year figure large and the renewal rule in a footnote, because the first year is the sale the page is built to close. Budget from the footnote.
Against its sibling and against GA4 itself
MonsterInsights. Same owner, same Plus and Pro prices, near-identical documentation. The ranges part at the top: MonsterInsights' third card, Elite at $299.50 for the first year, adds UserFeedback surveys and heatmaps on five sites, while ExactMetrics' third card is Agency, 25 sites at $399.50 (MonsterInsights pricing). On wordpress.org, the free MonsterInsights plugin lists 2+ million active installations and ExactMetrics 200,000+.
Google Analytics on its own. Free, and every report ExactMetrics draws comes from GA4, whose enhanced measurement already records form starts and submissions without code (Google's help page). A team that works in GA4 needs no plugin; a team that lives in WordPress pays for not leaving it.
Setting it up
Install Lite and connect GA4 first: it costs nothing, and a few weeks show whether a report you need sits behind a paid addon. How to use ExactMetrics then covers form lead tracking.
