What Is Later? Influencer Platform and Social Scheduler

By Joris van Huët · Later's own site

The short answer: if you post once a day to Instagram and TikTok, Later Social's entry plan sits exactly at its limit: Starter allows 30 posts per profile a month across one social set of 8 profiles, for $25 a month on monthly billing (Later pricing, checked on 24 October 2026). Later is now two businesses on one site: an influencer marketing platform for brands and Later Social, a scheduler with Link in Bio.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

Before you choose a plan:

  1. Turn your cadence into a monthly count. For example, two Instagram posts a day is 2 x 30 = 60 posts a month, double Starter's cap of 30 per profile; Growth allows 180 per profile and Scale has no cap, per the pricing page.
  2. Count brands, not networks. A social set holds one profile per network, eight in all. Starter has one and cannot add more; Growth has two and sells extras at $15 a month on monthly billing.
  3. Decide where the clicks are counted. Link in Bio adds UTM tags to its links, and custom values start on Starter, per the UTM article. Agree before launch that your own analytics, not the bio page, is the record.

Two products under one name

The homepage leads with influencer marketing: software for creator discovery, creator rates and campaign reporting across paid, organic and sales, plus full-service campaigns run by Later's team (influencer platform page). Its price is not published.

Later Social is the self-serve part: a calendar that auto-publishes, posting-time suggestions and an AI Ideas tool paid in credits. Link in Bio turns a profile link into a page of buttons and linked posts with its own click analytics (Link in Bio guide). Growth adds approvals and a social inbox; Scale adds competitor benchmarking and Meta Ads analytics.

Who it suits, and who it does not

It suits a brand or small agency selling from Instagram and TikTok that wants the bio link, calendar and analytics together. It suits less well a heavy publisher, or a team that wants a social inbox on the entry plan, where there is none.

How it compares

Rival plans as their vendors list them, checked on 24 October 2026.

Planoly. Planoly's Growth plan is $24 a month for 2 social sets and 2 users, and its bio page doubles as a storefront for digital products (Planoly pricing). Planoly costs less at each tier; Later's case is the influencer platform beside the scheduler.

Metricool. Metricool's free plan covers one brand with 20 posts a month, and its paid plans promise unlimited publishing under a fair-use policy (Metricool pricing). For volume and ads reporting, Metricool; for creator work and a bio page, Later.

The homepage cites 20M+ creators analysed and $2B+ in influencer-driven purchases: figures about Later's network, chosen by Later, that say nothing yet about your campaign.

FAQ

What is a social set in Later?

One profile each of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads and Snapchat, for one brand or client, per the pricing FAQ.

Does Later post automatically?

Yes. Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Threads, Snapchat and YouTube Shorts always auto-publish; Instagram and TikTok can auto-publish or send you a push notification instead, per the auto publish article.

Can I try a higher plan in the trial and pay for a lower one?

Yes. A downgrade during the trial keeps the higher plan until it ends, then bills the lower one, per the trial FAQ.
