What Is Pabbly Connect? Automation That Bills Actions Only

By Joris van Huët · Pabbly Connect's own site

The short answer: If most of your automations are a trigger and two or three actions, Pabbly Connect is the cheap way to run many of them, because only action steps use tasks and Standard costs $19 a month for 10,000 tasks on monthly billing, checked on 24 October 2026 on its pricing section. It is a workflow builder for small teams and agencies, with an approval step and MCP servers on every plan.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

What decides the bill:

  1. Action steps, and nothing else. Triggers and internal steps such as filters, routers and formatters are not counted, per the pricing FAQ. For example, a workflow with three actions run for 2,000 leads a month uses 3 x 2,000 = 6,000 tasks, inside Standard's 10,000.
  2. The workflows you already run elsewhere. List each one with its action steps and count them the same way; polling checks are free too, so a trigger that looks every five minutes costs nothing for its 288 checks a day (pricing FAQ).
  3. Where you will see it fail. Failure emails carry a task history ID that opens the failed run and its error (troubleshooting guide).

What it does

A workflow is a trigger followed by one or more actions across 2,000+ integrated apps, with schedules, delays, routers, iterators, an email parser and a code step for JavaScript or Python (Pabbly Connect). Two newer pieces matter for AI work. Human in Loop pauses a workflow until a person approves or rejects the next action, with the request sent by email, webhook or another workflow (Human in Loop guide). An action step can also be added to Pabbly's MCP server, so Claude or another MCP client can call it as a tool (MCP guide). The vendor states SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001:2022 certification.

Who it suits

It suits a lean team or agency running dozens of simple flows, where per-step billing elsewhere adds up. It suits less well a team that needs written reference documentation: Pabbly's help leans on video tutorials, 12,274+ by its own count (Pabbly Connect), and short walkthrough posts, and its general documentation page still lists five triggering apps (documentation). Cancelling also means emailing support rather than clicking a button (pricing FAQ).

Prices

In USD, per month, checked on 24 October 2026 on the pricing section.

PlanMonthlyYearly2 years3 yearsTasks a month
Free$0$0$0$0100, two-step workflows
Standard$19$16$15$1410,000
Unlimited$79$69$65$59Unlimited

One-time lifetime plans sit beside them: $349 for 3,000 tasks a month with feature restrictions, $799 for 10,000 and $1,298 for 20,000. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee. You are not misreading the page if it seems to disagree with itself: its FAQ still describes plans from 12,000 to 9 million tasks and a yearly saving of up to 25%. Go by the plan cards.

Multi-year and lifetime prices move the vendor's cash forward. For example, the 3-year Standard rate is $14 x 36 = $504 paid up front, so buy it only for a workflow you would still run in year three.

How it compares

  • Make counts every module run, triggers included, as credits, and adds its own AI agent module; Pabbly counts actions only.
  • n8n bills one execution per complete run, from $24 a month on monthly billing for 2,500 (checked on 24 October 2026), and has a free self-hosted edition (n8n pricing).
  • Zapier uses tasks for every step in a Zap, with Professional from $29.99 a month billed monthly, checked on 24 October 2026.

FAQ

Does a filter or router use a task?

No. Filters, routers, formatters, schedules, iterators and email parsers are internal steps and are not counted, per the pricing FAQ.

Can I add tasks without moving to Unlimited?

Yes. The FAQ says several Standard plans can be stacked to raise the task limit (pricing FAQ).

What happens when a step fails?

Steps that depend on the failed one are skipped, and Auto Re-Execution can retry the task up to five times (re-execute guide).
