What Is Plus AI? AI Slides Inside PowerPoint and Slides

By Joris van Huët · Plus AI's own site

The short answer: if your company's decks already live in PowerPoint or Google Slides, the question is not which new editor to adopt but whether to add AI to the one you have, and Plus AI does that from $10 per user a month billed annually ($15 monthly) on Basic, with 1,500 AI credits a month (pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026). It is an add-in from Plus Docs, Inc. that generates, rewrites and reformats slides inside both apps.

Before the trial card is charged:

  1. Budget in credits, not decks. The agent uses 40 to 170 credits for a typical task, per the billing guide. For example, 12 tasks at the top of that range use 12 x 170 = 2,040 credits, more than Basic's 1,500 and about a third of Team's 6,000.
  2. Your company template. The custom templates guide lets a Team plan import up to 5 templates of 25 slides each, as a Google Slides beta, while the branding guide FAQ calls company templates an Enterprise service. Ask which applies.
  3. Count the slides you keep. During the trial, note how many generated slides go out unchanged. That ratio says whether the credits buy finished work.

AI where the slides already are

Plus runs as an add-in for PowerPoint, an add-on for Google Slides and a web app, under one subscription. From a prompt or an uploaded PDF, Word, PowerPoint or text file it drafts up to about 30 slides, and the result is ordinary slides you edit and share like any others (upload guide). Inside a deck, Insert adds a slide, Rewrite changes wording or language, and Remix moves content into another layout.

In PowerPoint, agent mode takes plain-language requests to build a deck or edit the selected slide, adding tables, charts, icons and images, and you can stop it mid-task (agent guide). From Pro up, an MCP server and APIs let other agents do the same, including a Presentation Agent API that edits an uploaded .pptx (MCP guide).

Who it suits

Companies where IT, clients or habit keep everyone in PowerPoint or Google Slides, and consultants who tailor one deck many times. Nothing leaves the native file, so there is no library to migrate.

It suits less well a team that wants hosted links with viewer analytics, which none of Plus's plan pages list, or a Google Slides team that depends on custom fonts, which Google Slides does not support.

Every plan starts with a 7-day trial and 1,000 credits; the card is charged when it ends, earlier customers get no second trial, and no subscription payment is refunded, per the billing guide. The default permissions favour seat growth: any member can invite a colleague and the owner is billed for each one at once, and an owner setting lets anyone with your email domain join on signup, also billed, per the team guide. Leave that setting off until you know who needs a seat.

Against Microsoft Copilot and Gamma

  • Microsoft Copilot comes inside Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot, $23.50 per user a month paid yearly, which puts Copilot in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams (Microsoft 365 plans). A company already paying for that needs a reason to add Plus, such as colleagues in Google Slides.
  • Gamma builds in its own editor and exports PDF, PNG or PPTX, reaching Google Slides by uploading the PPTX, per its export article. If the deck must be built inside PowerPoint, Plus; if it can be built elsewhere and exported, Gamma.

FAQ

Do I need two subscriptions for PowerPoint and Google Slides?

No. One Plus subscription covers both apps, per the billing guide.

Can Plus read the charts in my PDF?

No. The upload guide says it cannot extract images, diagrams or charts from a document, so add those to the slides yourself.

Is the agent available in Google Slides?

Not yet. Agent mode is available in Plus AI for PowerPoint and through the AI Agent API, per the agent guide.
