What Is Publer? Scheduling Priced per Social Account

By Joris van Huët · Publer's own site

The short answer: with five social accounts and one person, you are scheduling rather than running a team, and Publer's Professional plan covers that for $20 a month on monthly billing (plans calculator, checked on 24 October 2026). It is a scheduler priced per connected account and per extra member, strong on bulk uploads, queues and recycling, with an MCP server on Business.

Rule of thumb:

  • Price the accounts first, then the people. For example, five accounts plus one extra member cost $38 a month on Business with monthly billing, or $30.40 billed yearly, in the plans calculator. Every tenth account is free.
  • Test with the three accounts you already run. The free plan allows 10 scheduled posts per account at any one time, keeps published posts for 24 hours and cannot connect X, per the same page.
  • Check which plan gives you numbers. Analytics, posting-time suggestions and competitor analysis sit on Business; the Professional list does not include them.

What Publer does

Publer schedules to Facebook pages, groups and locations, Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Mastodon, Google Business Profiles, YouTube, Telegram, Bluesky and WordPress, with reminders for post types the networks will not let a tool publish, according to the plans page. Around the scheduler sit the tools for volume: a CSV bulk uploader that takes up to 500 posts per file (CSV guide), posting schedules that a queue fills, recycling with spintax, RSS automations and watermarks.

Business and Enterprise add the Publer API and an MCP server that Claude, ChatGPT and other clients reach by OAuth or API key, to list accounts, create drafts and schedule posts, per the MCP guide. The homepage leads with that agent pitch.

Who it suits, and who it does not

It suits solo marketers, small businesses and agencies with many small accounts, and anyone rotating evergreen posts. It fits less well where volume runs past the daily caps: Business allows 36 Facebook posts per profile a day, and only Enterprise lifts the caps by default.

The plans page is a calculator rather than a list. These are its outputs in USD, before VAT:

Accounts and membersProfessional, monthlyProfessional, yearly per monthBusiness, monthlyBusiness, yearly per month
1 account$5$4$10$8
2 accounts$9$7.20$17$13.60
5 accounts$20$16$35$28
5 accounts, 1 extra member$22$17.60$38$30.40

Enterprise is quoted. The FAQ on the plans page lists a 20% discount for yearly payment, a full refund within 14 days of each payment, and 50% off for charities.

How it compares

Buffer. Buffer also bills per channel, $6 a month each on Essentials with monthly billing, but its API and MCP access come with every plan, the free one included (Buffer pricing). For an agent workflow on a small budget, that decides it.

Metricool. Metricool counts brands, each holding one profile per network, so five networks for one business is one brand at $25 a month (Metricool pricing), and it reports on ads. Publer is cheaper while accounts are few; Metricool once several brands each run several networks.

Later. Later's Starter plan is $18.75 a month billed yearly for one social set of eight profiles, scheduling up to 30 posts per profile (Later pricing). Later sells sets; Publer sells single accounts.

One line in Publer's FAQ shows how its pricing is meant to work: existing subscribers keep their price while they stay subscribed, and anyone who cancels and returns pays the current one. The incentive is to keep you from leaving, so weigh the yearly discount against how sure you are of the fit.

FAQ

Can the free plan publish to X?

No. Publer says the cost of X's Enterprise API means X accounts need a paid subscription, per the plans page.

Are there limits on posting volume?

Yes, per profile per day. On Business, for example, Facebook allows 36 posts and Instagram 25, and Publer can waive its own limits on paid plans for specific cases, though the networks still apply theirs.

Does Publer have an API?

Yes, on Business and Enterprise, alongside the MCP server. A key's scopes decide what an assistant connected with it can do, per the MCP guide.
