What Is Thrive Themes? WordPress Conversion Plugin Suite

By Joris van Huët · Thrive Themes's own site

The short answer: if your WordPress site needs opt-in forms, quizzes and A/B tests more than it needs design range, Thrive Suite bundles eight conversion plugins and a theme builder for up to 5 sites at $299 for the first year, renewing at the full $599 (pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026). Thrive Themes makes WordPress plugins built around turning visitors into leads and customers, sold as that suite or, for some plugins, one at a time.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

The arithmetic first:

  1. Three years, not one. For example, the suite costs $299 + $599 + $599 = $1,497 over three years, against $99 + $199 + $199 = $497 for the standalone Quiz Builder, per the pricing page and the Quiz Builder page. Both footnotes say renewals are at full price.
  2. The builder you already use. If the site already runs a page builder the team likes, buy the one Thrive plugin you lack; a release on 21 October 2026 lets a site activate several single-product licences side by side, per the changelog.
  3. The test you will run. A/B testing sits inside the tools, for opt-in forms, landing pages and quiz pages, per the homepage, so decide which page you will test first before buying a separate testing tool.

What the suite includes

Thrive Theme Builder and the Architect page builder for the site itself; Leads for opt-in forms; Quiz Builder for quizzes that tag subscribers by their answers; Optimize for A/B tests; Ultimatum for countdown campaigns; Ovation for testimonials; Apprentice for courses and memberships; Comments for engagement. Thrive University's courses come with the licence.

Forms connect to email services by API, and Architect and Leads forms can also send a native webhook to any service that accepts one, per Thrive's webhooks announcement. Architect content can also be read and written through the WordPress REST API, which Thrive's documentation presents as the route for AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT.

Who it suits

Coaches, consultants, course sellers and small marketing teams who live on email lists and want capture, segmentation and testing inside WordPress, without a separate landing page or quiz subscription.

It suits less well an agency with many sites, since the suite licence covers 5, or a site on WordPress.com, which Thrive does not support; it needs self-hosted WordPress.

Prices on 26 October 2026

From the pricing page and the Quiz Builder page, in USD:

LicenceFirst paymentRenewalSites
Thrive Suite, yearly$299$599 a year5
Thrive Suite, quarterly$149 a quarterNot stated5
Quiz Builder alone$99$199 a year1

The yearly checkout price carries an asterisk: introductory pricing, with every annual renewal at full price, so the second invoice, $599, is $300 more than the first, per the pricing page. The FAQ makes leaving gentle: if you do not renew, forms, quizzes and pages keep working, while updates, support and premium templates stop. A 30-day refund applies to purchases.

Elementor and Divi

  • Elementor gives more design range and prices per site, $84 a year for one site with forms and popups, per its pricing file. Pick Thrive when quizzes and built-in testing matter more than layout freedom.
  • Divi licenses unlimited sites for $89 a year, per its pricing page. Past five sites, Divi wins on licence count; inside five, Thrive's conversion plugins are the difference.

Where to begin

Pick the one conversion job the site does worst and start with that plugin. How to use Thrive Themes builds a quiz that tags new subscribers by their answers.

FAQ

Does it work on WordPress.com?

No. The pricing FAQ says it needs a self-hosted WordPress.org site.

What happens if I stop paying?

Existing sites, forms, landing pages and quizzes stay intact and working; support, updates and premium templates need an active licence.
