What Is Usermaven? Multi-Touch Attribution for B2B SaaS

By Joris van Huët · Usermaven's own site

The short answer: you are not misreading it: Usermaven's homepage advertises a 365-day attribution window, while its attribution guide sets the lookback at 30 to 180 days, so settle that with sales if your cycles run longer. Usermaven describes itself as AI marketing attribution software for B2B SaaS and agencies: website and product analytics joined to ad accounts and CRM deals, to show which channels, campaigns and ads earn credit for pipeline and revenue. No prices are published (checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page).

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

Before the demo:

  1. Measure your cycle against the window. For example, a deal that closes 210 days after the first ad click falls 210 - 180 = 30 days outside the longest lookback in the attribution guide, and that first click earns nothing.
  2. Clean the CRM you already have. The HubSpot guide matches people by email address, so every contact needs one and every deal a primary contact, or the deal reports linked to nobody.
  3. Agree what "worked" means first. One goal, such as closed-won deals, one model, and your CRM's own source field for the same quarter to compare against.

From visit to closed deal

A script on the site and in the product records visits, clicks and form submissions automatically, and an identify call joins that anonymous history to a person at signup (installation guide). Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads connect for spend and clicks; HubSpot and Salesforce connect for contacts and deals, and the HubSpot sync only reads.

Credit is shared by one of seven built-in models: first touch, last touch, linear, U-shaped with 40% each to the first and last touch, time decay, and first or last touch ignoring direct visits (attribution guide). Custom splits are Enterprise only. Around that sit funnels, journeys, the Maven AI assistant, conversion sync to ad networks, and an MCP server for AI assistants on all plans (MCP guide).

Built for pipeline, not pageviews

It suits a B2B SaaS company or an agency with revenue in a CRM and spend in several ad accounts. It suits less well a team that wants a quick traffic dashboard and a public price, or whose CRM has never been cleaned.

The privacy setting is a real trade. Strict mode drops cookies and identifies visitors by hashing user agent and IP address, which the cookieless guide calls fingerprinting and says works less well for attribution. Usermaven says it needs no banner; the EDPB's Guidelines 2/2023 place fingerprinting inside the ePrivacy consent rule unless an exemption applies, so ask your counsel.

Pricing behind a demo

The pricing page lists two plans and no figures, checked on 26 October 2026. Business covers attribution, analytics, AI tools and CRM and ad integrations; Enterprise adds custom integrations, warehouse export, private or on-premise deployment and SSO. Every plan includes unlimited websites; white-label analytics and extra workspaces are add-ons.

A price set on a call is set after the seller has heard your budget, so write your ceiling down before the demo and hold to it.

Against GA4 and Fathom

Google Analytics. Free, with cross-platform attribution and direct links to Google's ad products. What decides it is the CRM: GA4 sees the form, not the deal that closes weeks later, unless you send the deal to it yourself, and Usermaven's CRM sync is the reason to pay.

Fathom Analytics. Also cookieless, but built the other way round: it resets visitors daily and identifies nobody, from $15 a month (pricing). Choose Fathom for traffic without personal data, Usermaven for a person's journey tied to a deal.

Starting out

The free version comes first: last quarter's closed-won deals in a sheet, with the source your CRM recorded for each. If that settles the budget question, the demo can wait; if not, how to use Usermaven follows HubSpot deals back to the paid campaigns that touched them.

FAQ

Does Usermaven have a free plan or trial?

The pricing page lists neither; its FAQ offers an interactive demo and a booked call.

Will Usermaven change my HubSpot data?

No. The HubSpot guide describes the integration as read-only.

Can AI assistants query Usermaven directly?

Yes, through the MCP server; any write, such as a new funnel, needs your approval first (MCP guide).
