What Is Krisp? Noise Cancellation With an AI Note Taker
By Joris van Huët · Krisp's own site
The short answer: if your team takes calls from open offices or kitchens and also wants notes without a bot in the room, Krisp covers both from one desktop app, on-device noise cancellation plus an AI note taker, from $8 a user a month on Core with annual billing, or $16 billed monthly, per the pricing page checked on 26 October 2026. There is no noise-only plan, and the free option is a 7-day trial.

Before you put it on every laptop:
- Price the seats both ways. Every teammate is a seat, per the pricing page FAQ. For example, 12 people on Core cost 12 x $8 = $96 a month on annual billing and 12 x $16 = $192 on monthly billing; Advanced, $15 on annual billing, adds Salesforce, team-level webhooks, more storage and more accent conversion.
- Check the calling apps you already use. Krisp sits between you and the app as a Krisp Microphone and Krisp Speaker, so the app must let you pick audio devices, per the setup article.
- Watch storage after a month. Core gives 10 GB of recording storage per user and Advanced 60 GB, per the recording FAQ; once it is full, new recordings stop until you delete old ones or buy more.
What Krisp does
Noise cancellation runs on your device: it strips background noise and nearby voices from your microphone, cleans up the other side of the call and cancels echo, with no audio sent to a server, per the noise cancellation article. Accent conversion runs an hour a day on Core.
The AI Meeting Assistant records from the same app in four modes, transcript only, audio, screen recording or off, and transcribes in 16 languages, per the recording article. Notes go to HubSpot, Slack, Notion or Zapier, a hosted MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor or ChatGPT search meetings, and an optional Krisp Bot joins when you want video.
Who it suits, and who it does not
It suits remote and hybrid teams with noisy calls, and customer-facing teams that want CRM notes without a bot in the meeting.
It suits less well meetings outside its 16 languages, Core teams that need Salesforce, or anyone who only wants cleaner audio.
Prices
Checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page, in USD per user per month:
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Storage | Accent conversion, your side |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free trial | $0 for 7 days | Not offered | Not stated | Limited |
| Core | $16 | $8 | 10 GB | 1 hour a day |
| Advanced | $30 | $15 | 60 GB | 4 hours a day |
| Enterprise | Quoted | Quoted | Unlimited | Custom |
The pricing FAQ answers the noise-only question by pointing to a switch: disable the Meeting Assistant if clean audio is all you want. That keeps every buyer of the original product on a plan priced for the note taker, which suits Krisp's growth in meeting AI more than it suits a team that came for quieter calls.
How it compares
NVIDIA Broadcast removes noise and echo too, adds video effects such as background removal and eye contact, and is built for NVIDIA RTX graphics cards. It takes no notes. For RTX machines and a team that mostly wants to look and sound better, that settles it.
Granola also takes notes without a bot, from your computer's audio, and keeps no audio afterwards, per its transcription guide. It is a notepad you write in; Krisp is an audio layer with notes on top.
Getting started
Install the app and run the trial on real calls. How to use Krisp logs customer calls in HubSpot without a bot. If the trouble is four overlapping meeting tools bought by four teams, that is a stack question rather than a Krisp one, and a one-week review like the Startup Fixer covers it.
FAQ
Does Krisp send my audio to the cloud?
Not for noise cancellation, which runs on your device. Transcription happens in the cloud, with the processing data deleted afterwards, and recordings are stored encrypted in the cloud, per the data article.
Does it work with any calling app?
With any app that lets you pick a microphone and speaker, and through separate setups for browsers and other apps, per the setup article.
Can Krisp record without joining as a bot?
Yes. It records audio from the desktop app, and the Krisp Bot is optional for video, per the recording FAQ.
