How to Use Krisp to Log Customer Calls in HubSpot

The short answer: if you run a dozen customer or partner calls a week and HubSpot is your CRM, Krisp Core is the plan to start on, at $8 a user a month on annual billing or $16 monthly, per the pricing page checked on 26 October 2026, because the HubSpot integration and the MCP server both work on Core; Advanced adds Salesforce, not HubSpot. The steps: route your calling app through Krisp's microphone and speaker, switch on the recording notice, choose a recording mode, add your vocabulary, connect HubSpot for chosen meetings only, and let an assistant tag calls through Krisp MCP while you approve the tags.

Most of what a customer says on a call never reaches the CRM; it stays in the head of whoever was on it. A bot in the participant list fixes that and changes the tone of the call. Krisp records from your own machine instead, and cleans the audio while it does. Plans and limits are in the Krisp entry.
Before the first call:
- Price it for the people who take the calls. For example, Core for you and two colleagues is 3 x $8 = $24 a month on annual billing, or 3 x $16 = $48 billed monthly; anyone who only reads notes in HubSpot needs no seat.
- List the calling apps you use. Zoom, Teams, Google Meet and browser calls each need Krisp selected once; an app with no audio settings needs the separate setup in the setup article.
- Take a baseline. Count how many customer calls last month ended with a note on the HubSpot contact. That number is what the next month has to beat.
Step 1: Route the call through Krisp
Open Krisp, choose your physical microphone and speaker, and turn on the noise cancellation toggles. Then, in the calling app's audio settings, select Krisp Microphone and Krisp Speaker, per the setup article. The same article recommends switching off the calling app's own noise suppression and echo cancellation, so two filters do not fight over the same audio.
Select both devices, not one. The recording article advises selecting both so the full meeting reaches the transcript and the recording; leave one out and part of the conversation goes missing.
Step 2: Tell people Krisp is listening
Go to Settings, Privacy & Consent, and turn on "Notify others you're using Krisp", per the recording article. The article adds that some platforms block the chat message or audio prompt, so say it at the start of the call as well, and put a line in the calendar invitation. A bot-free recording is less visible than a bot, which is a reason to announce it more clearly, not less.
Step 3: Choose a recording mode
In the AI Note Taker section, pick Transcribe only, Audio Recording, Screen Recording or Off. For customer calls, Audio Recording is the useful middle: the recording article advises it for multilingual meetings because the transcript can be regenerated from the audio if it is wrong. You can start before the call or during it, and pause at any point.
Two limits from the recording FAQ: calls shorter than 30 seconds are not captured, and a single recording runs up to 4 hours.
Step 4: Teach it your vocabulary
Sign in to the account dashboard, open the Vocabulary page and add product names, competitor names and the customer's own jargon with Add term, per the vocabulary article. The list is shared across the workspace and holds up to 750 terms. Words Krisp is unsure of are highlighted in transcripts, and clicking one adds it. New terms apply to future meetings only.
Step 5: Connect HubSpot for the right meetings
In the dashboard, open Integrations and click Connect under HubSpot, then authorise it, as the HubSpot article describes. Configure offers two routes: send notes automatically after each meeting, or choose specific meetings. The one-switch route puts Krisp notes into HubSpot after every meeting, which ties Krisp into your CRM from the first day whether or not each meeting belongs there; the same page lets you pick meetings, and that is the setting to start with.
For a single call, open the meeting page, click Share, open Send to HubSpot, choose the contact, company or deal, and click Send.
Step 6: Let an assistant tag the week, then approve it
Connect an assistant to Krisp MCP at https://mcp.krisp.ai/mcp. In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http krisp https://mcp.krisp.ai/mcp, then /mcp to sign in, per the MCP article; Cursor and other clients take the same URL. The server can search meetings, read transcripts and summaries, list action items and add tags in bulk.
Ask it to find this week's customer calls, read each summary, propose tags such as "pricing question" or "feature request", and list the action items assigned to you. You read the proposals before it writes anything: approve the tags, correct the ones that misread a call, and mark action items complete yourself. The tools work with your account's access and permissions, per the MCP article, so a wrong tag is your tag.
Step 7: Use the bot only when you need video
For calls where you want the video, invite the Krisp Bot from the app, or add assistant@krisp.ai to the calendar invitation, per the bot article. It supports Zoom, Google Meet and Teams, and the host must admit it.
What the Krisp help centre warns about
- Switching to the bot mid-call. It discards the local transcript and recording made before it joined.
- Removing the bot. It cannot rejoin the same session.
- Full storage. A call in progress is saved in full, but new recordings stop until you delete old ones, per the recording FAQ.
- Blocked notices. Some platforms suppress the chat or audio notice, so tell people another way too.
FAQ
Does the customer hear the noise cancellation?
Yes, in the sense that they hear less of your background: the microphone side removes noise and nearby voices before your audio leaves your machine, per the noise cancellation article.
Where do notes go if HubSpot is not connected?
They stay in your Krisp account, on the My Notes page, per the recording article.
Can I keep the transcript and delete the recording?
Yes. When you delete a recording from Storage, Krisp asks whether to keep the transcript and notes, per the recording FAQ.
