The short answer: create a default list, bulk-upload up to 1,000 target companies into Contact Search, add the titles you sell to, click Find on the people who fit, filter My Contacts to a Total AI score of 70 or more, and import that filtered view into your CRM with an import threshold switched on.

Seamless.AI researches a contact when you ask for it, so the money is spent at the Find button, not at the search. That changes the order of work. You narrow first, look at the previews, which are free, and research only the people you would write to. For the product and its contract terms, see the Seamless.AI glossary entry.
What you need first:
- A credit count for the job. For example, 400 accounts with two buyers each is 400 x 2 = 800 research credits at 1 credit per Find. A Basic license carries 250 credits a month and Pro 10,000, per the credit article, so this job fits Pro or a bulk credit pool, and the free 50 credits only test it. Seamless does not publish prices; checked on 24 October 2026, its pricing page is an inquiry form.
- The account list in your CRM, as it stands. Export company names or domains for the accounts sales has agreed to work, and nothing more. The bulk upload takes up to 1,000 companies at a time.
- Edit rights in the CRM. The HubSpot connection is set up in CRM Setup, the connected CRM user needs edit access to every mapped field or imports can fail, and each user picks themselves as owner so researched contacts land on the right person.
- A quality bar and a baseline. Decide the Total AI threshold before anyone imports, and note your current bounce rate so the first send has something to beat.
Step 1: Create a list and make it the default
On the Search page, click Add to List, create a list named after the campaign, and set it as default. The lists article explains that with a default list set, every contact you research is saved to it automatically, so the campaign stays in one place. Deleting a list later does not delete the contacts in it.
Step 2: Bulk-upload the target companies
Open Contact Search, click the upload icon on the Company filter and paste one company or domain per line, or upload a CSV with the headers Seamless expects. The bulk upload article sets the limits at 1,000 companies, 100 titles and 100 full names per upload. Once the bulk list is in use the filter is tagged as a bulk upload, and company filters you applied earlier may be ignored, so clear them first.
Step 3: Narrow to the buyers
Add titles through the Titles bulk upload, or combine Department and Seniority. The filter limits article caps a search at 5 seniorities, 5 departments and 10 locations, and recommends several focused searches over one crowded one. Put a minus sign in front of a title, such as -assistant, to exclude it, as the FAQ describes. Save the search so the next wave of accounts uses the same filters.
Step 4: Research only the people you would write to
Each preview shows name, title and company. Clicking Find on a contact costs one credit and fills the profile with emails, phone numbers and location, per the contact search article. Find All researches the whole page, 25 or 50 contacts depending on your display setting, so use it only on a page you have already read.
Step 5: Filter by Total AI before anything leaves
Go to My Contacts, filter by your list, then open the Total AI filter and set the range. The Total AI article scores every email from 0 to 100 and recommends 70 or above for most outreach. Read the validation label too. The validation article marks emails Valid, Accept All, Unknown, Invalid or Do Not Mail, suggests Accept All only at 50% confidence or higher, and keeps checking Unknown emails for 25 hours after research. If your sending tool tolerates almost no bounces, send to Valid only.
Step 6: Let Claude run a second wave, with you approving it
Connect Seamless in Claude from the Connector Directory, or add the server address from Settings, MCP in Seamless as a custom connector, as the Claude setup article shows. Then give it one bounded job: "Find VP-level marketing contacts at the companies in my saved search, show me the first 25 before researching anyone, then research the ones I approve and save them to my campaign list."
The MCP article warns that search, research and enrichment through MCP may use Universal Credits, and asks you to review messaging, recipients and settings before anything is sent. So the human check sits in two places. You approve the names before credits are spent, and you read every draft before it joins a campaign. The Claude article adds a third habit worth keeping: ask Claude to show its plan before any delete action.
Step 7: Import the filtered view into HubSpot
In CRM Setup, map the fields, set the owner, and set the Total AI threshold on contact imports: at 80, a contact imports on the first attempt only if its primary business email scores 80% or more, per the HubSpot article. Set "Allow contacts/leads to import without a validated email" to No. Add a custom mapping with a static lead source value so you can report on these contacts later. Then, back in My Contacts with your list and score filters applied, choose Import Filtered, the workflow the import article recommends.
How to know it worked
Compare the first send's bounce rate with the baseline you noted. If you send through Seamless Connect, bounces on emails researched with purchased credits are refunded automatically, but plan credits are usually used first and are not refunded, per the bounce refund article. Then count meetings from this list against the same month's meetings from accounts worked without it.
Mistakes the knowledge base flags
- Import All when you meant Import Filtered. Import All sends every contact you have ever researched, not the page you are looking at.
- Auto-import with no threshold. Auto-import sends every researched contact straight to the CRM; the import article recommends pairing it with a Total AI threshold.
- Importing Unknown emails too early. Validation keeps running for 25 hours, so a status can still change the next day.
- Treating Find All as a shortcut. It researches a full page at a credit a contact. A one-click button that spends a page of credits is built for the credit balance, not for your list, so read the page before pressing it.
- Crowded searches. The filter limits article says searches with too many criteria tend to return thinner results; split the job into several focused searches instead.
FAQ
How many credits does researching one contact use?
One. Find costs 1 Universal Credit per contact and returns the full profile, phones included, per the credit article.
Can I download the list instead of importing it?
Yes. From My Contacts, choose Download Filtered. The CSV article offers Clean, which leaves out invalid data, Raw, which includes it, and Custom.
Does Claude spend my credits?
It can. The MCP article says search and research through MCP may use Universal Credits, and the Claude setup article suggests read-only requests, such as a balance check, before anything that acts on your account.
