What Is Leadpages? AI Landing Pages and Testing Tiers

By Joris van Huët · Leadpages's own site

The short answer: you are not misreading it: for the rebuilt Leadpages, the pricing page, the help centre and the developer docs list three different sets of plan limits, so buy from the pricing page, where publishing starts at $49 a month and A/B testing at $99. It is now an AI landing page builder with testing, for small teams that publish often.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

Before you pick a plan:

  1. Price the testing step. Business at $49 publishes but has no A/B testing; Grow at $99 adds it with dynamic text, per the pricing page. For example, $99 - $49 = $50 a month, or $600 a year, is the price of knowing which version works.
  2. Count domains against the page you buy from. The pricing page gives Grow 4 custom domains; the domain article lists 25. Get the higher figure confirmed in writing before you rely on it.
  3. Start from your own site, then set a goal. The AI builder takes your colours, fonts, logo and copy from a URL in the prompt, per the reference URL guide, and an experiment without a conversion goal counts nothing.

What Leadpages does

Leadpages was rebuilt from the ground up; the pricing FAQ lets existing customers keep the old experience. The new one starts from a description: the AI builder generates an on-brand page, refined in a visual editor or by asking. Pages group into sites, and blogs publish on your domain.

Forms store every submission, and integrations or webhooks pass it to your CRM. Testing comes in layers: manual A/B tests and dynamic text on Grow, then Smart Traffic, which routes each visitor to the variant most likely to convert, and heatmaps on Optimize. Every plan includes an API and an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT or n8n.

Good fit, poor fit

Founders and small teams who publish campaign pages weekly, already write copy with AI, and want pages live without a developer. Less so a seller who needs order bumps and upsells, or an enterprise that needs SSO, sold only on custom contracts.

No plan has a traffic cap. The trial is 7 days, takes a card at checkout and becomes the paid plan on day 7 unless you cancel.

Leadpages fences testing into the tier above the one that publishes, so the plan that ships your page and the plan that tells you whether it works are $50 a month apart; buy the second once you have traffic to test with.

Leadpages against its rivals

  • ClickFunnels builds the purchase sequence, with order bumps and upsell pages, from $97 a month on its pricing page. Choose it when the page sells, Leadpages when it collects leads.
  • Unbounce caps visitors per plan and bills overage, while its $149 Experiment plan runs unlimited A/B tests, per its pricing page. The no-cap policy matters most on high-traffic pages.
  • Squarespace, which has no entry here, is a website builder first, and its pricing page charges a 7% fee on digital content and memberships on the Basic plan. Choose it for a whole site, Leadpages for pages you test.

First step

Connect the MCP server to the assistant you already write with. How to use Leadpages covers it from brand kit to first-week analytics.
