What Is Rewardful? Stripe Affiliate Tracking by Revenue Tier

By Joris van Huët · Rewardful's own site

The short answer: if your SaaS bills through Stripe and affiliates bring in less than $7,500 a month, Rewardful's Starter plan at $49 a month runs the whole program and takes 0% of that revenue (monthly billing, checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page). Rewardful is affiliate and referral tracking that reads payments straight from Stripe, or Paddle, so commissions follow upgrades, downgrades, refunds and cancellations without a spreadsheet in between.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

Before the trial clock starts:

  1. Price the year both ways. Monthly billing on Starter comes to 12 x $49 = $588 a year; annual billing is 12 months for the price of 10, so $490, per the pricing FAQ. The $98 gap buys nothing extra; it only commits you sooner.
  2. Keep the billing setup you have. In Stripe, Rewardful only writes tracking metadata and, if you use coupon tracking, coupons and promo codes; it cannot move money or change prices, according to its permissions article.
  3. Watch the figure you are billed on. Each tier is capped by monthly affiliate-attributed revenue on the pricing page, so that one dashboard number shows whether the program works and which plan comes next.

How it credits a sale

Rewardful listens to Stripe. When a referred customer pays an invoice, it checks who referred them and creates a commission from the campaign's rules: a percentage or a fixed amount, recurring until the customer cancels unless you cap it by number of payments or months, per the campaign settings guide.

Links carry a parameter on your own domain, with no redirect through a third-party address. Codes are the second route: Stripe promotion codes assigned per affiliate credit a creator at checkout, with no link and no tracking script on your site, as the promo code article explains. Fraud controls are narrow and specific: an email asking you to confirm or deactivate a suspected self-referral, and a switch that ignores visitors arriving from Google, Bing, Baidu and Yandex, search ads included.

Who it suits, and who it does not

It suits a SaaS or subscription product on Stripe where one marketer or a founder runs the program. Starter allows one campaign and two team members; Growth opens unlimited campaigns, a branded portal on a custom domain and private invite-only campaigns, per the plan comparison.

It suits less well a business that bills outside Stripe and Paddle, or one that expects the tool to move the money by default.

What it costs

Checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page and the pricing schedule, in USD before tax.

PlanBilled monthlyBilled yearlyAffiliate-attributed revenue a monthCampaigns and seats
Starter$49$490Up to $7,5001 campaign, 2 team members
Growth$99$990Up to $15,000Unlimited
EnterpriseFrom $149From $1,490$30,000 on the entry tier, up to $2,500,000 at $5,000 a monthUnlimited, plus phone support

Managed Payouts adds a 3% processing fee on payouts, per the pricing FAQ. There is no overage line to budget for: the pricing schedule says a program that exceeds its tier is moved to the next one in the following billing cycle, so Rewardful's fee rises with your affiliates' sales without anyone signing a new order.

Against FirstPromoter, Reditus and Tapfiliate

  • FirstPromoter prices the same way, $49 a month for up to $5,000 of affiliate revenue, but connects natively to Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee, Recurly and Braintree, per its pricing page. If you bill on Chargebee or Recurly, that settles it.
  • Reditus serves B2B SaaS only and pays every affiliate for you, adding 5% by card or 2% by invoice to each month's commissions, per its billing help. Pick it when recruiting from a B2B affiliate network matters more than a 0% fee.
  • Tapfiliate meters traffic instead of revenue: its Launch plan at $89 a month includes 5,000 clicks and 500 conversions, per its pricing page. Shops with many small orders are its ground.

FAQ

Does Rewardful take a cut of affiliate revenue?

No. Every plan has a 0% transaction fee, per the pricing FAQ; commissions, the optional Managed Payouts fee, affiliate withdrawal fees and payment provider fees are separate.

Does Rewardful pay the affiliates?

Only if you switch on Managed Payouts. Otherwise it emails you on the 1st of the month, you export the due payouts as a PayPal or Wise file, pay there and mark them paid, as the commission payment article describes.

Does it work with Paddle?

Yes, the features page names Stripe and Paddle, though double-sided incentives, which discount automatically through an affiliate link, need Stripe, per the double-sided article.
