What Is Tapfiliate? Affiliate Tracking Priced by Clicks
By Joris van Huët · Tapfiliate's own site
The short answer: if your affiliates send fewer than 5,000 clicks and 500 conversions a month, Tapfiliate's Launch plan covers them at $89 a month, or $74 a month billed annually, and beyond those limits the overage is added to the next bill automatically (checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page). Tapfiliate is affiliate tracking software for ecommerce and SaaS, with 30+ integrations including Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Stripe, and one account for affiliate, referral, influencer and reseller programs.
Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.
Count three things first:
- What a busy month costs on Launch. For example, 20,000 clicks and 800 conversions is 15,000 extra clicks at $1.5 per 1,000 and 300 extra conversions at $15 per 1,000: $22.50 + $4.50 = $27 on top of $89, so $116, still below Scale at $179, using the pricing page.
- The affiliates you already have. Launch stops at 50 affiliates and one team member, per the plan comparison. A program with 60 partners outgrows it on headcount long before traffic.
- Approved against voided. Tapfiliate's own commission guide suggests approving commissions by hand at first to catch refunds; the share you void is the first quality signal.
What Tapfiliate covers
Commissions are standard, paid on the first conversion, or recurring for subscriptions, as a percentage or a fixed amount. On Scale, extra commission types pay different rates per product, SKU or category, and the bonus system, affiliate groups and multi-level commissions for recruited sub-affiliates open up, per the extra commissions article.
For reporting, an MCP server connects Claude, Cursor or Google Antigravity to the account. It is a read-only beta that answers questions such as who sends clicks but no sales, per the MCP article; it cannot change data or create payments.
Who it suits, and who it does not
Online shops that want margin control: a higher rate on high-margin lines, a lower one on thin ones, set per WooCommerce product or category.
It suits less well a team of several people on Launch, which has one seat, or a store on Squarespace or Wix, where commission types per product cannot be tracked, per the same article.
What it costs
Checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page, in USD:
| Launch | Scale | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly billing | $89 | $179 | Custom |
| Annual billing, per month | $74 ($890 a year) | $149 ($1,790 a year) | Custom |
| Clicks and conversions included a month | 5,000 and 500 | 100,000 and 10,000 | Tailored |
| Overage per 1,000 clicks / conversions | $1.5 / $15 | $1 / $10 | Tailored |
| Affiliates, programs, team members | 50, 1, 1 | Unlimited, unlimited, 5 | Unlimited |
| Free trial | 7 days | 14 days | 30 days |
Tapfiliate takes no commission on conversions, and EU customers without a VAT ID on file are charged 21% VAT, per the billing cycle article. The same article says overage fees apply automatically to the next bill, so a creator post that takes off mid-month raises Tapfiliate's invoice before you have approved a single commission from it.
You are not misreading the help centre on add-ons: the trial billing article says plans cannot be mixed, while a later article offers Scale features such as item-based commissions to Launch customers as add-ons, quoted on request. Ask support for the quote in writing.
Beside Post Affiliate Pro and Rewardful
- Post Affiliate Pro meters tracking requests instead: $89 a month on Starter buys 10,000 a month, counting impressions as well as clicks and sales, with unlimited affiliates and multi-tier commissions on every plan, per its pricing page. Banner-heavy programs with many small affiliates lean that way.
- Rewardful prices on affiliate revenue from Stripe or Paddle, $49 a month up to $7,500, with unlimited visitors and affiliates, per its pricing page. For a SaaS on Stripe, that is the simpler meter.
Getting started
How to use Tapfiliate sets a different commission per product category in WooCommerce and checks the result with the MCP server. If the real question is how many partner tools your stack should run at all, that is a stack decision rather than a Tapfiliate one, and a one-week review such as the Startup Fixer, which I sell, settles it before another subscription starts.
FAQ
Does the free trial need a card?
Yes. Billing details are asked at registration, PayPal is accepted, and billing starts automatically when the trial ends; there is a 14-day money-back guarantee you request from support, per the trial billing article.
Does Tapfiliate work with Shopify?
Yes, through its Shopify app, which supports one store per Tapfiliate account, or a custom pixel that handles several stores and custom commission logic, per the Shopify guide. Use one method, never both.
Can the MCP server change commissions?
No. It is read-only in this beta: it reports and suggests, and changes stay in the dashboard. Reporting by landing page or referrer needs Enterprise or separate access, per the MCP article.
