What Is Post Affiliate Pro? Banner and Multi-Tier Tracking

By Joris van Huët · Post Affiliate Pro's own site

The short answer: you are not misreading the pricing page: in late October the $89 Starter plan still carries a limited-offer label valid from May through July 2026, and it is also the plan with one campaign and 10,000 tracking requests a month, so a program that needs a second campaign starts on Pro at $139 a month (monthly billing, checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page). Post Affiliate Pro is cloud affiliate tracking and management software from Quality Unit, priced by tracking volume rather than by affiliates, for in-house programs and for affiliate networks.

Read these rows before choosing a plan:

  1. What a tracking request is. Impressions, events, clicks and sales all count, per the pricing page. For example, 300,000 requests a month on Starter is 290,000 over the allowance; at $5 per 10,000 that is 29 x $5 = $145, so $89 + $145 = $234, against Pro's $139 with 1,000,000 included.
  2. The cart you already run. Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento 2, BigCommerce, Stripe, PayPal and Wix are among the integrations on every plan, and new accounts get a free integration and setup service, capped at two hours on Starter, per the setup service article.
  3. The report that tells you where you stand. The Traffic info report shows the requests used this period and a prediction for the month, per the plan comparison, so check it in week two, not at the invoice.

What it does

Affiliates get links in six styles, from anchor links to server-side Mod Rewrite and DirectLink, which credits all traffic from an affiliate's own site without parameters, per the initial configuration guide. Banners range from text links and images to HTML banners, promo emails and personalised PDFs. Commissions can be per click, per sale, per action or per thousand impressions, and multi-tier commissions run up to 99 tiers on every plan.

Data sits in a data centre in Europe or the United States, your choice. A built-in AI assistant guides setup without editing data, and an MCP server connects Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT to the account with read-only or read-and-write access that you choose, per the AI assistant page. The self-hosted edition is gone: new standalone licences stopped on 1 June 2022 and support ended on 31 December 2022, per the end-of-life notice.

Who it suits, and who it does not

Publisher and banner programs, programs that pay partners for recruiting partners, and operators running a network for several merchants on the Network plan.

A subscription business on Starter or Pro is the poor fit. Recurring commissions, the kind a SaaS pays on every renewal, are included only from Ultimate, at $269 a month, two plans above the entry price, per the plan comparison on the pricing page.

Several features are paid add-ons on the lower plans: commission groups and multiple currencies cost $19 a month each on Starter, removing the Post Affiliate Pro branding costs $27 a month on Ultimate, and the audit log costs $17 a month below Network. The trial runs 30 days with no credit card, per the trial page.

Next to Tapfiliate and Rewardful

  • Tapfiliate meters clicks and conversions and caps affiliates: Launch at $89 a month allows 50 affiliates, 5,000 clicks and 500 conversions, per its pricing page. Post Affiliate Pro has no affiliate cap, which matters for open publisher programs.
  • Rewardful prices on affiliate revenue read from Stripe or Paddle, $49 a month up to $7,500, with recurring commissions as the default on every plan, per its campaign guide. For a SaaS, that is the closer fit.

FAQ

Is there still a self-hosted version?

No. Post Affiliate Pro stopped selling standalone licences on 1 June 2022 and now runs as a cloud service; legacy owners were offered a migration service, per the end-of-life notice.

Can the AI assistant change my settings?

The built-in assistant cannot: it reads the page you are on and guides you. An external tool connected through the MCP server can, if you grant read and write access when you connect it, per the AI assistant page.

Does every plan include coupon tracking?

No. Coupons for offline and influencer sales start on Pro, as do product-specific commissions, per the plan comparison on the pricing page.
