What Is Smartsupp? Live Chat and the Mira AI Assistant

The short answer: if one person answers the chat for a small online shop, Smartsupp's Solo plan at $24 a month gives that person unlimited conversations across website chat, WhatsApp, Messenger and email, and the Mira AI shopping assistant is a separate add-on from $20 a month for 100 AI conversations (monthly billing, before VAT, checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page). Smartsupp is live chat with a shared inbox, automated flows and an AI assistant that reads your product feed, built for online shops.

How the bill is built:
- Operators, not conversations. Every paid plan has unlimited conversations; the plans differ in seats: 1 on Solo, 3 on Plus, 5 on Expert (pricing page). For example, a fourth person outgrows Plus at $35 a month, and the next step is Expert at $117, a jump of $117 - $35 = $82.
- The product feed you already publish. Mira reads the same Google Merchant or Heuréka XML feed that most shop platforms produce for shopping ads, per the feed article. No new catalogue work.
- How Mira counts. Each visitor session Mira replies to is one conversation, and a returning visitor's new session counts again, per the pricing FAQ. Set the AI's monthly count against the chats your team handled before it.
What it does
The homepage leads with live chat, chatbot flows that run after hours, lead capture with export to a CRM, and Mira AI, which recommends products, answers common questions and hands over to a person when configured to. One dashboard holds chat, email, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp. For the human side there is an AI Reply Assistant that drafts, improves and translates replies while an agent is online, and an MCP server connects AI assistants such as ChatGPT to your chat data (MCP collection).
Mira itself runs only in the website widget, not yet on Messenger, WhatsApp or email (Mira introduction).
Who it suits
Shops with one to five people on chat, on Shopify, WordPress, PrestaShop, Wix or Magento, which the homepage lists among its integrations. A larger floor is pointed at Ultimate, a custom plan from $280 a month.
The EU AI Act's disclosure rule covers Mira, as the LiveAgent entry explains (Article 50, consolidated text on EUR-Lex). Smartsupp helps here: the small AI Assistant label under Mira's name is generated by the system and cannot be renamed, whatever name and avatar you give it, per the Mira introduction.

The trial is 14 days without a card. The plan names suggest a ladder that tops out at Expert, but Mira is not in it: the Mira FAQ says the AI is a separate subscription even on Expert, so a shop that buys the top self-serve plan for the AI pays for operators and then buys Mira on top.
How it compares
Tidio. Tidio works the other way round: seats are bundled, 10 on its self-serve plans, and human conversations are metered, 100 a month on Starter at $29; Lyro starts at $39 for 50 (Tidio pricing). Busy chat with few people favours Smartsupp; many occasional agents favour Tidio.
LiveChat. New LiveChat accounts run on Text at $25 per user a month, AI Agent included with 10 resolutions (LiveChat pricing). For example, three people cost 3 x $25 = $75 there, against $35 on Smartsupp Plus, or $35 + $20 = $55 with 100 Mira conversations added.

FAQ
Does Smartsupp still record visitors' screens?
It is not a listed feature today. On 26 October 2026 neither the homepage nor the pricing page mentions recordings; they list visitor information and conversation history instead.
What happens when Mira's conversations run out?
Mira stops until the allowance resets next month or you buy more, and live chat keeps working (Mira introduction).
Can I buy Mira without a paid chat plan?
Yes. It is an add-on to any plan, the Free plan included, per the pricing FAQ.
