What Is Systeme.io? Free Plan, Funnels, Email and Courses
By Joris van Huët · Systeme.io's own site
The short answer: if your list is under 2,000 contacts and you sell a course, a coaching offer or a digital product, Systeme.io's free plan runs the funnel, the emails and the course at no monthly cost; past that, the price steps to $17, $47 and $97 a month by contact count. It is an all-in-one platform for funnels, email, courses and websites.

Rule of thumb:
- Under 2,000 contacts, start free. The free plan includes 3 funnels, 1 course and unlimited sends, but only 1 email campaign and 1 automation rule, per the pricing page. One sequence fits; the second is the upgrade.
- Price only what you would cancel. For example, if you pay $39 a month for a course host and $20 for email today, moving both to Startup saves $39 + $20 - $17 = $42 a month, and less if the email tool stays for another team.
- Measure it with the email numbers. Sends, opens, clicks, bounces and spam reports are reported per email, per the MCP guide, which also hands them to an AI assistant.
What Systeme.io does
Four funnel types cover most jobs: Build an Audience (an opt-in page and a thank-you page), Sell (an order form and a thank-you page), Custom, and an evergreen webinar funnel from the Webinar plan, per the funnel guide. Order bumps, upsells, coupons and A/B tests sit inside them.
Email runs on campaigns (timed sequences), newsletters and automation rules. Courses, communities, a blog, bookings, affiliates and SMS are on the features list, and the pricing page allows unlimited sub-accounts on every plan, each with the main account's limits.
Who it suits, and who it does not
Solo founders, coaches and small teams selling knowledge products, or a scale-up's side brand that needs a course without a procurement round. Less so a B2B team that lives in a sales CRM, or anyone without a domain of their own: the authentication guide makes domain authentication mandatory to send email.
What each plan costs
Checked on 26 October 2026 on the Systeme.io pricing page, billed monthly, in dollars:
| Plan | Price a month | Contacts | Funnels | Courses | Automation rules |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 2,000 | 3 | 1 | 1 |
| Startup | $17 | 5,000 | 10 | 5 | 10 |
| Webinar | $47 | 10,000 | 50 | 20 | 100 |
| Unlimited | $97 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Annual billing gives two months free, and every plan lists 0% transaction fees on the pricing page.
The same page totals a rival stack at $245 a month to set beside $17; that sum is Systeme.io's arithmetic, built from list prices it picked, so redo it with the invoices you pay.
Weighed against Kartra, ClickFunnels and Kajabi
- Kartra starts at $59 a month for 500 contacts with 5% transaction fees on Essentials, per its plans page. Side by side, Systeme.io is cheaper at every contact count; Kartra's case rests on its member and support tools.
- ClickFunnels starts at $97 a month with 10K contacts on its pricing page, with AI page building and split tests per funnel step. It earns its price once the checkout is the business.
- Kajabi, which has no entry here, is a course and membership platform whose Basic plan is $143 a month billed annually for 2,500 contacts, per its pricing page. It suits creators who value a polished member area over a low bill.
A first build
How to use Systeme.io builds one lead magnet funnel with one sequence on the free plan. If the real trouble is five tools that each hold part of the customer rather than any one of them, a one-week review like the Startup Fixer covers that.

What happens if I cancel a paid plan?
The account returns to the free plan at the next billing date, per the pricing FAQ.
