What Is FlexClip? A Template Video Editor in the Browser
By Joris van Huët · FlexClip's own site
The short answer: FlexClip is a browser video editor from PearlMountain for marketers who start from a template, not from raw footage: 6,000+ templates, a scene-based editor and AI tools that run on credits. A marketing lead making a handful of branded product and social videos a month fits it, and Plus at $11.99 a month billed annually ($143.88 a year) removes the watermark and adds 1080p export and the Brand Kit (pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026).

What decides the plan:
- Count stock clips per project, not projects. Free allows 1 stock video per project, Plus 5 and Business unlimited, and going over adds the FlexClip watermark (pricing FAQ). For example, an ad built from 8 stock clips needs Business at $19.99 a month billed annually rather than Plus at $11.99, which is $96 more over a year.
- Lean on the footage you already own. The cap counts stock videos and stock audio, so a brand that films its own product shots meets it later.
- Treat AI credits as their own budget. Every AI tool shows its credit cost before it runs (consumption guide), and Billing, then Credits, shows what is left and when it expires.
What FlexClip covers
The editor trims, merges, changes speed, keys out green screens, records the screen, adds subtitles, music and transitions, and exports up to 4K. The homepage counts 4M+ stock videos and photos and 74,000+ music tracks and effects. The AI tools make video from a prompt, article or URL, write scripts, voice text, caption and translate; the editing collection adds product page to video, PPT to video and long video to shorts.
Who it suits, and who it does not
It suits a small team or an e-commerce brand that needs a steady run of short promos. The Team plan is $69.99 a month or $479.88 a year with 3 seats (Team plan article).
It suits less a team that wants video made by an automation: FlexClip documents no API or Zapier connection, so each video starts by hand. There is no free trial either; the Free plan is the test (trial article).
Plans and prices
USD, from the FlexClip pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually, per month | Export | AI credits | Stock per project |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 720p, 10-minute videos | Limited trial | 1 video, 1 audio |
| Plus | $19.99 | $11.99 | 1080p | 300 a month, or 3,600 a year | 5 videos, 5 audio |
| Business | $29.99 | $19.99 | 4K | 800 a month, or 9,600 a year | Unlimited |
Credits also sell alone: from $9.99 a month for 300, or $14.99 once for 300 that last 365 days. Plan credits expire the moment the subscription ends (credit expiry article), which is how a credit model keeps a subscription alive. Spend them inside the cycle; buy a one-time pack for the odd job.
Next to the alternatives
invideo. invideo has become an agentic editor: you describe the cut and AI agents make it on a timeline of your own footage, with manual editing free and agent work paid in credits (invideo help). It wins when hours of footage need cutting; FlexClip wins when the starting point is a template.
CapCut. CapCut lists Pro at USD 19.99 a month with 1,200 AI credits a month and 1 TB of storage, and notes that displayed prices are a reference until you sign in. It is the deeper editor with a desktop download; FlexClip is the simpler browser buy with plain per-project stock limits.
Getting started
How to use FlexClip turns one product page into a branded ad and then into three sizes. If FlexClip would be the third editor on the company card, the question is the stack rather than the editor, and the one-week Startup Fixer review is built to answer it.
FAQ
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. The FAQ on the pricing page offers 7 days on the first payment of a subscription period.
What happens when a subscription ends?
The account drops to Free. Projects beyond 12 are locked, not deleted, and files uploaded to Cloud Space are deleted 3 months later unless you renew (expiry article).
Do plan credits roll over?
No. Credits in a Plus, Business or Team plan refresh each cycle and unused ones do not carry over, per credit types. One-time packs last 365 days from purchase.
