How to Use FlexClip to Turn a Product Page Into an Ad

The short answer: save your logo, fonts and colours in the Brand Kit, paste the product page into Product URL to Video, rewrite what the AI pulls out, choose voiceover and subtitles, generate, check every scene in the editor, then duplicate the finished project once per aspect ratio and export each copy at the resolution your plan allows.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

A product page already holds most of an ad: the name, the claim, the photos. FlexClip's Product URL to Video reads them from the link and builds a first cut you then edit (product URL guide). The AI does the assembly. The judgement about what a 15-second ad should say stays with you. For plans and prices, see the FlexClip glossary entry.

Before you generate anything:

  1. Price the plan against your stock use. Free exports at 720p with the FlexClip watermark and 1 stock video per project; Plus is $19.99 a month on monthly billing for 1080p, the Brand Kit, 5 stock videos per project and 300 AI credits a month (pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026). For example, three ads a month that each use 4 stock clips fit Plus; one ad with 6 needs Business at $29.99, or your own footage in place of one of them.
  2. Start from the page and files you have. A live product page with photos is enough. Without one, Upload Manually takes a name, a description and your images instead.
  3. Decide how each size will report. Give every version its own tagged link and file name before export, so the 9:16 and 1:1 results arrive in your analytics as separate rows rather than one blended number.

Step 1: Save the Brand Kit once

Open the Brand Kit from the bottom of the left toolbar in the editor; it is a paid-plan feature. It holds up to 50 logos, 100 text presets, 1,000 uploaded fonts, 100 colours and 50 QR codes, all reusable across projects in the account (Brand Kit guide). Two details trip people up. Saved colours are applied from the colour picker inside the editor, not from the kit page, and a watermark is saved per project, not in the kit.

A QR code saved here, pointing at the product page, gives a static placement such as an in-store screen a way back to the shop.

Step 2: Let the AI read the product page

In AI Video Creator, choose Product URL to Video, paste the link and click Analyze URL. The AI extracts the product name, the descriptions and the media photos; you can rewrite any text, delete photos and add others, then click Next (product URL guide).

Treat what it pulls in as raw material. A product page carries specifications, delivery terms and small print written for a reader who scrolls, and an ad has seconds. Cut it down to one claim, one proof and one offer here, because every sentence you keep becomes a scene, a voiceover line and a subtitle.

Step 3: Choose ratio, voice and subtitles

The settings screen offers three ratios (product URL guide). Pick the ratio of the placement that matters most, since that version gets the most care. Voiceover is optional; if you switch it on, you can set the language, voice, voice style, speed and pitch. Subtitles are optional too, with more styles behind the arrow icon.

Step 4: Generate, and read the credit estimate first

Before any AI tool runs, FlexClip shows the estimated credits, and the amount shown is the amount charged (consumption guide). A credit meter is built so that the next generation always looks small. The estimate on screen is the moment to ask whether a manual edit would do the same job for nothing.

Click Generate. If the project already has scenes, choose Add after the existing scenes or Replace all; a new project skips that question. When processing ends, the draft opens in the editor.

Step 5: Edit it like an editor, not a reviewer

Play the draft scene by scene and check the product name, the price, the offer dates and the spelling against the live page. Replace any stock clip that shows a product you do not sell. Keep count as you swap: going past your plan's stock limit per project adds the FlexClip watermark at export, according to the FAQ on the pricing page. Add the logo from the Brand Kit to the last scene with the offer.

Step 6: Duplicate, then change the ratio

Changing the ratio of a finished project can move the layout, and the aspect ratio guide says to use Undo rather than reselecting the old ratio to go back. So leave the master alone. On the Home page, click the three-dot icon on the project, choose Duplicate, pick your account and click Copy (duplicate guide).

Open the copy, click Ratio at the top left of the canvas and pick the next size. FlexClip supports 16:9, 1:1, 9:16, 4:5, 21:9, 3:4 and 2:1. Then go through every scene again: subtitles and text that sat well in 9:16 can crowd the edges in 1:1, and a product photo cropped for portrait can lose the product.

Step 7: Export each version

Click Export at the top right of the editor. For video, choose MP4 and set resolution (480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K), frame rate (24 to 60 fps) and quality; GIF and MP3 exports are there too (download guide). 4K needs Business. After export you can switch on a share link, private or public, and choose whether viewers may download (share guide), which suits sending drafts to whoever signs off the ad.

Name each file by product, ratio and date, matching the tagged link from your plan. That is what lets you compare the sizes a fortnight later.

Mistakes the help centre flags

  • Reselecting the old ratio to undo a change. Use Undo; reselecting can leave the layout altered (aspect ratio guide).
  • Going over the stock limit. Use more stock than the plan allows and FlexClip adds its watermark to the video (pricing page).
  • Expecting plan credits to wait. Credits included in Plus, Business or Team do not roll over and are cleared when the subscription ends (credit expiry article).
  • Letting a plan lapse with files in Cloud Space. Uploaded files are deleted 3 months after expiry if you do not renew, and projects beyond 12 are locked (expiry article).

FAQ

Can I start from a blog post instead of a product page?

Yes. Blog URL to Video follows the same steps and adds a choice between AI-generated images and stock footage; the AI mode uses more credits, per the blog URL guide.

Which export settings should I use for social placements?

My recommendation: 1080p at 30 fps, which Plus already exports. 4K files are larger and need Business, and the options are listed in the download guide.

Can a colleague edit the same ads?

On the Team plan, which costs $69.99 a month or $479.88 a year with 3 seats and extra seats for sale (Team plan article).
