What Is Ranktracker? Rank Tracking With SEO Tools Bundled
By Joris van Huët · Ranktracker's own site
The short answer: for a small team or a young agency that wants one login for rank tracking, keyword research, SERP checks, a site audit and backlink data, Ranktracker puts all of them on every plan. Launch costs $39 a month on monthly billing for 500 keywords checked daily to position 100, on its pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026. A team that already pays for a research suite would buy those tools twice.

Count before you choose a plan:
- Multiply keywords by engines and locations. The usage article counts 2 keywords in 2 engines and 4 locations as 16. For example, 125 keywords on desktop and mobile in two cities use 125 x 2 x 2 = 500, all of Launch.
- Match check frequency to the report. Launch allows 500 keywords daily, 3,500 weekly or 15,000 monthly, per the pricing page. A monthly report does not need daily checks.
- Start with what the site already ranks for. The Discovery tool lists those keywords.
- Keep proof for each number. The SERP Preview shows the captured results page with your position highlighted.
What comes in one plan
The tracker covers Google, Bing, Yahoo and Yandex on desktop and mobile in 107,296 locations, down to the full top 100, with Business Profile and Maps positions, per the pricing page. Beside it sit Keyword Finder, a real-time SERP Checker, a Backlink Checker and Monitor, a Web Audit and an SEO checklist, with unlimited projects and users. The AI Article Writer sells full articles as add-ons from $7.5 each.
For agents there is an MCP server with 13 read-only tools and one that re-runs an existing report, per the MCP documentation. It cannot add keywords or refresh rankings, the actions that spend credits.
Who it suits, and who it does not
It suits a marketer or small team doing SEO without a separate research subscription, and an agency that shows clients live data through a share link with no login, per the share view article.
It suits less well a team that already owns a keyword and backlink suite, because the tools are not sold separately. Expect some help articles to lag the product: many carry 2021 update dates.
What it costs
Checked on 24 October 2026 on the Ranktracker pricing page, in USD per month:
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually, sale price | Keywords checked daily |
|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | $39 | $27.30 | 500 |
| Growth | $89 | $62.30 | 1,000 |
| Scale | $149 | $104.30 | 2,000 |
| Authority | $299 | $209.30 | 5,000 |
The annual prices showed a 30% sale with a countdown, while the helpdesk's 2021 subscription article gives the yearly saving as 25%, so check at checkout. The 7-day trial needs no payment details.
A countdown is there to shorten the evaluation. The pricing FAQ offers no refunds during the promotion, so decide inside the trial, whatever the timer shows.
How it compares
Buyers mostly set it against Ahrefs, and the split is depth of data against price and seats. Ahrefs Lite cost $129 a month on monthly billing for 750 tracked keywords and one user when checked on 24 October 2026, with extra users at $40 a month each; Ranktracker's Launch gives 500 keywords and unlimited users for $39.
Getting started
Use the trial on one page you are about to publish. How to use Ranktracker takes it from keyword ideas to a scheduled report.
FAQ
Can I buy only the rank tracker?
No. The pricing FAQ says every plan includes all the tools, and none is sold alone.
How deep does it track?
The full top 100 on desktop and mobile, with AI Overview monitoring on every keyword, per the pricing page.
Does it work with Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes, through the MCP server, which an administrator connects with OAuth, per the MCP documentation. The launch post says every plan includes it.
