What Is Typeform? AI Forms Priced by Monthly Responses
By Joris van Huët · Typeform's own site
The short answer: you are not misreading Typeform's pricing page: the billing toggle promises 30% off for paying yearly while the FAQ beneath it says up to 16%, and the prices settle it, Basic at $39 a month billed monthly against $28 billed yearly, which is $11 or 28.2% less (checked on 26 October 2026 on the pricing page). Typeform builds conversational forms, drafted by its AI and sold by monthly responses, for teams that care how a form feels and whose volume fits inside 100, 1,000 or 10,000 responses a month.

Size it by responses, not by forms:
- Add every form together. The cap belongs to the account. For example, a demo form at 400 responses a month and a webinar form at 700 make 400 + 700 = 1,100, past Plus's 1,000, because the response limits article counts all forms in one total.
- Take the figure from your current tool. Last quarter's submissions across all your forms, divided by three, is the monthly number to price against.
- Choose the metric before the plan. Drop-off by question starts on Business; below that, the Results panel gives basic performance metrics, per the free plan article.
What Typeform does
Forms run as a conversation, screen after screen, with logic, scores, calculations, recall of earlier answers and URL parameters on every plan, free included; Typeform AI drafts a form from a prompt. The newer products sit around the form: Growth Flow adds enrichment, contacts, automations and email and text follow-ups, and Research Flow runs AI-moderated interviews, per the Typeform homepage.
The pricing table lists HubSpot, Pipedrive, Mailchimp, Google Sheets, Slack and Calendly on every paid plan, and Salesforce, Google Analytics, Tag Manager and Meta Pixel from Business up.
Who it suits
Teams running lead, event and research forms where completion matters more than volume and a few seats will do: Basic includes 1 user, Plus 3, Business 5. It suits less well several busy forms, which share one monthly pool, or a company that needs an EU data centre in the plan, since choosing between a United States and an EU data centre is listed as Enterprise only.
Prices, checked on 26 October 2026
In USD, from the pricing page, with the free plan from the free plan article:
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly, per month | Responses a month | Users |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 10 | Not listed |
| Basic | $39 | $28 | 100 | 1 |
| Plus | $79 | $56 | 1,000 | 3 |
| Business | $129 | $91 | 10,000 | 5 |
| Growth Flow | $379 | $266 | 10,000 | 5 |
Growth Flow starts with a 14-day trial that needs a credit card. The comparison table also lists a maximum monthly response limit of 750 on Basic, 2,500 on Plus and 50,000 on Business.
The meter is where Typeform's interest and yours part. At 100% of the month's responses, every form in the account switches to Private mode until the month turns or you upgrade, and the help centre's answer is response add-ons or an auto-upgrade switch, per the response limits article. One campaign that beats its forecast closes the newsletter form as well, and paying more is the fastest way to open both again.
How it compares
- Tally does not meter responses on its free plan, within a fair use policy that names 50,000 a month as heavy use, per its pricing page. If volume is the worry, that decides it.
- Jotform meters forms and submissions instead (Bronze: 25 forms, 1,000 submissions a month, $39 billed monthly) and adds approvals and e-signatures, per its pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026. Typeform wins on the form, Jotform on what happens after submit.
- ScoreApp is narrower: a landing page, a scored quiz and a results page per score tier. Choose it when the form is a lead magnet whose output is a personalised report.
