What Is Viktor? An AI Employee That Works in Slack
By Joris van Huët · Viktor's own site
The short answer: if your team runs on Slack or Teams and wants reports, research and CRM chores done where it talks, Viktor does them as an AI employee in the channel, paid from one credit pool per workspace: the Team plan is $100 a month for 40,000 credits, after up to $100 of free credits (pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026). It connects to 9,800+ tools, and suits less well a team that must see every step of an automation in advance.
Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.
Three things to check:
- What a task costs. Every current plan is priced at $25 per 10,000 credits (plans guide), and the pricing FAQ puts 40,000 credits at roughly 80 to 400 tasks. For example, 40,000 / 80 = 500 credits a task at the heavy end of that range, or $1.25 each.
- What it can reach. Viktor works through apps you connect with their own sign-in, from HubSpot to Google Ads, each shared with the workspace or kept private (connection guide).
- Where to read the bill. The Usage page shows credits by conversation and scheduled task (usage guide).
What Viktor does
The homepage puts it as "Not a tool. A hire." You message Viktor like a colleague, in a DM or with an @mention, and it works across your connected tools on a computer of its own in the cloud. Its documentation covers scheduled and event-triggered work, reports published as docs with a stable link, small web apps (Spaces), team processes stored as skills, a public API and an MCP server.
Control sits in approvals: sensitive actions wait as drafts behind an approval card, and each tool can run automatically, ask for confirmation, or stay off (approvals guide).
Who it suits
Teams whose work already happens in Slack or Teams, from startups and agencies to e-commerce and SaaS companies, which its solutions pages address by name. It suits less well a team that wants a visible, versioned flow chart of each automation: Viktor picks the steps itself, within the permissions you set. Per-user spend caps and audit logs are Enterprise features.
Price and credits
Checked on 24 October 2026 on the pricing page: Free is $0 with up to $100 of credits that never expire; Team is $100 a month for 40,000 shared credits, with one month of rollover and top-ups under a monthly spend cap; Enterprise is custom. The plans guide lists other monthly plans at the same rate, from 20,000 credits for $50, though some workspaces see $100 as the smallest, and annual plans are no longer sold.
Pooled credits with no per-seat charge make it easy for everyone to ask Viktor for things, which is the point of the model, and every ask draws on the same balance. Decide who may connect new apps, and read the Usage page weekly in month one.
Next to Claude and ChatGPT
Claude is priced per seat, with the Team plan at $20 a seat a month billed annually, its plans connect apps, and paid plans can hand off and schedule tasks (checked on 24 October 2026). OpenAI's ChatGPT pricing page refused automated reading that day, so no price is given here. What decides it is the unit: an assistant per person against one Viktor in the team's channels, drawing on one credit pool.
Getting started

Can it run outside Slack?
Yes: Microsoft Teams, Discord and a web app at app.viktor.com, per the documentation.
What does it say about data protection?
The homepage lists CCPA, GDPR and SOC 2, and the Enterprise plan adds security review support and a ready-to-sign data processing agreement (pricing page).
