What Is VWO? Now Wingify, With Testing Priced on Request

By Joris van Huët · VWO's own site

The short answer: if VWO is on your shortlist, you are now evaluating Wingify: vwo.com redirects to wingify.com since VWO and AB Tasty announced their merger on 20 January 2026, and testing is priced on request by monthly active users, with a 30-day free trial and no card (pricing FAQ, homepage, checked on 26 October 2026). It suits mid-market and enterprise teams that want experimentation, personalization and behaviour analytics under one contract.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

What to settle before the demo:

  1. A number to hold the quote against. For example, Convert.com publishes $3,588 a year for 100,000 tested users a month on its Growth plan (Convert pricing); ask Wingify to quote the same traffic and you have a like-for-like line.
  2. Your traffic, in their unit. Quotes are based on monthly active users, or monthly tracked users for behaviour analytics, so bring twelve months of that figure from your analytics.
  3. What you already have. For current VWO customers, the merger announcement says contracts, pricing, service levels and support stay unchanged (announcement).
  4. The tier that holds your checks. Growth has the visual and code editors, unlimited experiments and multi-armed bandits; sample ratio mismatch detection, guardrail metrics and multivariate tests are listed under Pro; approval workflow, single sign-on and API access under Enterprise (pricing page).

What VWO is now

The combined business reports more than $100M in revenue and over 4,000 customers (announcement). Six offerings share one customer profile: Experimentation, Personalization, Analytics, Feature Management, Commerce and Engage, with Wingz as the AI layer across them (homepage).

Web experimentation covers single-page and multi-page A/B tests, split URL and multivariate tests (campaign guide). Reports run Bayesian or frequentist, typically declaring a winner at 95%, and the model cannot be switched once a campaign runs (statistics guide). The MCP server connects Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini with read tools and write tools that can create a test or change its status (MCP guide); it comes with Wingz Core, free with paid products (pricing page).

Who it suits, and who it does not

A team that runs testing, personalization and analytics as one programme and is ready for a sales-led quote. Less so a small team that wants a price on the page.

What it costs

No public price list: Wingify quotes by traffic, products and scope, discounts bundles and multi-year terms, and offers non-profits preferential pricing (pricing FAQ, checked on 26 October 2026). Data is kept for 13 months, and behaviour analytics for 30, 60 or 90 days by tier.

Without a published list, every quote starts in a sales conversation where the advertised bundle discount pulls you toward more of the six products than the test you came for.

How it compares

Convert.com. Convert.com publishes its prices, $299 a month billed annually for Growth, and puts the SRM check and its MCP server on that entry plan (Convert pricing). Choose it for a testing tool with a fixed bill.

Optibase. Optibase starts free for 10,000 tested users, with Basic at $79 a month billed monthly (Optibase pricing). Choose it for a smaller site.

Optimizely. Optimizely packages every plan individually too, around its Stats Engine and warehouse-native analytics. Choose it if a CMS from the same vendor matters.

Where to start

Start the 30-day trial and install the SmartCode snippet; How to use VWO runs a pricing-page test with Claude reading the report. If the real question is which of several overlapping tools to keep after a merger like this one, that is a stack problem rather than a tool one, and a one-week review like the Startup Fixer covers it.

FAQ

Is VWO still sold?

Yes, under the Wingify name, and existing customers keep their contracts and support (announcement).

What happens to a test when the trial ends?

It pauses and its reports stay readable; an account inactive across all products is deleted after 45 days (trial guide).

Can Claude change a running test?

No. Wingify requires you to pause a campaign before modifying it (Claude connector guide).
