What Is Albato? No-Code Automation Priced per Transaction

The short answer: If you want a low-cost no-code builder and a free plan that does not run out after a trial, Albato's Free plan keeps 5 active automations of two steps on 100 transactions a month, and Pro starts at $22 a month on monthly billing for 1,000 transactions, checked on 24 October 2026 on the pricing page. It connects 1,000+ apps and adds AI agents and a Copilot that builds automations from a description (Albato).

Size it in three moves:

1. Multiply steps by runs. A transaction is each automation step that runs after the trigger, and triggers are free (pricing FAQ). For example, four steps for 500 new leads a month = 2,000 transactions, twice Pro's entry tier.
2. Carry over what you have. Data migration mode copies records from a past period into the new app and then stops by itself, which helps when you move flows from another tool; it works with API triggers only (automation timing).
3. Read the log, not the dashboard. Successful runs appear in the automation log, and Albato emails you when it stops an automation for errors (halt policy).

What Albato does

An automation is a trigger followed by actions, with tools for delays, format changes, routers, filters, maths and JSON parsing (first automation guide). Webhook triggers start at once; API triggers are checked every 1, 5 or 15 minutes depending on the plan. The AI Agent is a separate step that reads incoming data and chooses actions from around 5,000 available as tools, following a prompt, agent instructions and guardrails of up to 1,000 characters each (AI Agent guide). The company's homepage now leads with an embedded integration product for SaaS vendors, including a Universal MCP and SOC 2 Type II (Albato); this entry covers the self-serve builder.

Who it suits

It suits a small marketing team, or an agency on the five-seat Teams plan, running everyday flows between CRM, forms, ads and messengers. It suits less well anyone who needs near-real-time polling on a budget: one-minute checks are on the Custom plan only. Error-prone flows also get slowed down and then stopped, through penalty points for timeouts and connection errors (penalty points).

Free is $0 with 100 transactions; Custom is quoted. Over the limit, automations keep running on extra transactions priced 50% above the package, and Albato AI uses one transaction per 2,000 tokens (pricing page). You are not misreading it if the trial length differs: the Pro card says 7 days and the FAQ says 14.

The pricing widget opens on yearly billing, so the first Pro figure you see is $15, not the $22 a monthly payer pays. Toggle it before you compare.

How it compares

• Make counts a credit for every module run, trigger included, and its prices were not readable on its pricing page on 24 October 2026; Albato charges only for steps after the trigger.
• n8n bills one execution per full run regardless of steps, which favours long flows, and can be self-hosted (n8n pricing).
• Zapier counts tasks for every step, with Professional from $29.99 a month on monthly billing, checked on 24 October 2026.

Each AI Agent run costs 3 transactions whatever the number of tools it calls, plus one transaction per 2,000 tokens if it uses Albato AI; external models add no token charge on Albato's side (AI Agent guide).

Does the free plan expire?

No. Albato states that there are no time limits on the free plan and no credit card is required (Albato).
