What Is Scalenut? AI Content Planning and GEO Writing

By Joris van Huët · Scalenut's own site

The short answer: if you need a keyword cluster plan and first drafts for a blog, and someone in-house can review them, Scalenut does both. Starter costs $59 a month on monthly billing for 5 articles, 5 clusters and 10 tracked AI prompts on one domain, per the Scalenut pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026. If you need people to run the programme, Scalenut sells that separately as a VIP Service.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

Before you take the annual deal:

  1. Run the numbers on the promotion. The page shows an early-access annual price of $21 a month for Starter, so 12 x $21 = $252 against 12 x $59 = $708 billed monthly, with 3 times the limits, per the pricing page. The same page says purchases under that offer are non-refundable.
  2. Use the trial on your own keywords. The 7-day trial is the only refund window: the refund policy offers no refunds after it. Plan one cluster and draft one article in those 7 days.
  3. Decide how you will judge a draft. Scalenut scores content in its own editor; whether the page earns clicks shows in Search Console weeks later.

What Scalenut does

Scalenut calls itself a GEO platform, built to get content found in AI search as well as Google. The Keyword Planner groups related keywords into clusters from one primary keyword or a list of 10 to 200, each with intent, relevance, search volume, difficulty, CPC and a generated AI prompt, per the Keyword Planner guide. Cruise Mode turns a cluster into an article in four steps: context, title, outline, first draft. The Content Optimizer and its Fix It module refine the draft, and the WordPress and Shopify publishers send it live.

Around that sit AI Visibility, which tracks prompts in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, with Perplexity on Professional, a content audit from Plus, Reddit listening called Social UpReach, and a Backlinks Marketplace. Bought links need rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow" under Google's link spam policy.

Who it suits

Founders and small marketing teams who publish regularly and can review AI drafts, and agencies on Professional with unlimited workspaces. It suits less well a team without anyone to edit, because the drafts still need a person, or a team that wants an API to build on: the integrations page lists Copyscape, Semrush, WordPress and Shopify, and documents no MCP server or public API.

Plans

Monthly billing, from the pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026, in USD:

A countdown beside an annual offer exists to move the decision before the trial ends. Decide on the monthly plan first, then take the annual price only if the first month proves the drafts are worth editing.

How it compares

Jasper is the other AI writer buyers weigh. Pro costs $69 per seat a month on monthly billing, per the Jasper pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026, and it is built for on-brand marketing copy across channels, with agents and brand voices. Scalenut is narrower and closer to search: clusters, SEO and GEO scoring, and publishing to your blog.

Getting started

Run one Keyword Planner report, pick a cluster and draft its first article in Cruise Mode; how to use Scalenut follows each screen. If the real gap is nobody to own content strategy, that is a hire or an interim CMO, not another subscription.
