The short answer: if your content plan is a blog that has to rank in Google and be cited in AI answers, and up to four people review the drafts, Scalenut's Plus plan covers that for $89 a month on monthly billing, with 30 articles, 30 keyword clusters and 25 tracked AI prompts (Scalenut pricing, checked on 24 October 2026). Jasper is built for brand copy across every channel, from ads to emails to product pages, and its Pro plan covers one seat for $69 a month on monthly billing; a second user means a Business quote (Jasper pricing). Search work points to Scalenut. Brand work at volume points to Jasper.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

Price the team, not the seat:

  1. Do the one-person sum, then the four-person one. For example, one person on Scalenut Starter billed monthly pays 12 x $59 = $708 a year, exactly what Jasper Pro costs billed yearly at $59 a month, on the Scalenut and Jasper pricing pages. For four people, Scalenut Plus stays at $89 a month in total, while Jasper's FAQ sends anyone needing more than one Pro user to sales for a Business plan.
  2. Feed each tool what it is built on. Scalenut connects to Semrush for keyword data and to WordPress and Shopify for publishing, per its integrations guide. Jasper's Brand Voice reads your existing content to learn its tone (pricing). Give each trial your own keywords or your strongest copy, not a demo topic.
  3. Name the editor. Both tools produce drafts. Someone in-house owns the facts and the final yes, and that person's hours are the real limit.
  4. Pick a measure per tool. For Scalenut, Search Console clicks on the articles it drafted, four to eight weeks after publishing (Search Console help). For Jasper, review rounds per piece, counted for a month before and after.

What decides it

Search work, or every channel

Scalenut calls itself a GEO platform. Its plans count GEO articles created and optimised, keyword clusters, tracked AI prompts and audited pages, and its homepage runs from AI visibility tracking to an article writer, content optimiser and audit. Jasper's pricing page describes Canvas, more than 100 purpose-built marketing agents, image tools and brand governance. Search sits inside Jasper as one job among many. It is most of Scalenut.

What the plan counts

Scalenut meters output: Plus allows 30 articles and 30 clusters a month, Professional 75 of each (pricing). Jasper meters people and context: Pro includes 2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets and 3 audiences, Business unlimited, and some usage features such as the GEO Hub and agents run on credits beside the seats on Business (pricing FAQ). Scalenut's bill follows how much you publish; Jasper's follows how many people write.

Getting it live

Scalenut lists auto-publish to WordPress and Shopify from Plus, and its WordPress publisher keeps formatting, images and links, per the integrations guide. Jasper names integrations with Webflow, Google Docs and Slack and a Chrome or Edge extension, and an API on Business (pricing). If the destination is a WordPress blog, Scalenut removes a copy-and-paste step that Jasper leaves in.

Two free weeks, one brief

Both trials last 7 days. Scalenut's refund policy makes its trial the only refund window, and Jasper's pricing FAQ points to the Pro trial before any annual commitment. Use them on the same brief: one article your business needs this month. Before either, run your homepage through Jasper's free GEO Diagnostic, which samples up to 15 pages, and note what AI answers say about you today. Then judge the two drafts by how much editing they needed.

USD, from the Scalenut pricing page and the Jasper pricing page. Jasper's monthly plan can be paused for 30 days, and nonprofits get 20% off.

The October Black Friday deal

Scalenut's yearly prices on 24 October 2026 were a Black Friday early-access offer: 65% off annual plans with three times the usual limits, which takes Plus from 30 to 90 articles a month (pricing). The same page says purchases under this offer are non-refundable, and monthly plans keep their regular $59, $89 and $199. A seasonal deal opened a month early is built to move the decision ahead of the trial. Take the monthly plan for one month first, and buy the year only if the drafts were worth the editing.

A Jasper agent drafts, an editor signs off

Jasper documents agents on Pro for core marketing workflows, with more advanced ones on Business (pricing). Its agents page describes them as working within guardrails and orchestrated by people, and its GEO page says drafts inherit the brand voice and audience, then flow into your existing review process for human approval. One step of a product launch: the agent turns the approved launch brief into a blog post, three social posts and an email, each in the brand voice. The product marketer checks every claim against the brief and approves or returns each piece before anything is scheduled.

Scalenut drafts inside its own app through Cruise Mode, and its integrations guide lists no API or MCP server for outside agents.

Choose Scalenut if your job is

  • Planning a blog in keyword clusters and drafting the articles for review.
  • Publishing straight to WordPress or Shopify with up to four people on one plan.
  • Tracking a few dozen AI prompts beside the content that answers them.

Choose Jasper if your job is

  • Producing on-brand copy across ads, email, social and web from one voice.
  • Translating and adapting content across 30+ languages.
  • Running governed agents for a marketing team, on Business.

The Scalenut entry covers its planner and Cruise Mode in more detail.

When the gap is a person, not a platform

If neither trial ends with someone owning the plan, the missing piece is leadership, not software. A content programme needs a person who decides topics, approves claims and answers for results, and that seat is a hire or an interim CMO, not a fourth AI writer.

FAQ

Can two people share Jasper Pro?

Pro includes one seat. Jasper's pricing FAQ sends teams that need more users to sales for a Business plan with additional seats.

Is Scalenut's early-access annual price refundable?

No. The pricing page says purchases under the offer are non-refundable, and the refund policy offers no refunds after the 7-day trial in any case.

Does either tool track what AI answers say about you?

Scalenut tracks 10 to 100 prompts weekly in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, adding Perplexity on Professional (pricing). Jasper puts its GEO agents on Business and offers a free GEO Diagnostic to anyone (GEO Diagnostic), checked on 24 October 2026.
