What Is GetResponse? Email, Automation and Webinars

By Joris van Huët · GetResponse's own site

The short answer: If webinars are part of how you sell, GetResponse is one of the few email platforms that hosts them itself: the Creator plan includes webinars for up to 100 attendees, from $69 a month for 1,000 contacts on monthly billing, per its pricing page. Every paid plan includes unlimited email sends, automation, landing pages and AI content generators, and a free account holds 500 contacts.

Price it on the plan your job needs:

  1. The webinar premium, worked out. At 5,000 contacts the monthly prices are $54 for Starter, $95 for Marketer and $109 for Creator (pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026). Creator costs $109 - $54 = $55 a month more than Starter, and it is the only standard plan with webinars.
  2. Your attendance, against the cap. Creator includes up to 100 attendees, up to 500 with a paid add-on, and Enterprise up to 1,000 (plan details). Count the live audience of your last three events before you pick.
  3. The automation you already run. Starter allows one workflow of up to 6 elements (pricing page); a welcome series plus a webinar follow-up is already two.

What GetResponse does

Every plan has newsletters, autoresponders, AI email and subject line generators, landing pages, forms and pop-ups. Marketer adds unlimited workflows, abandoned cart recovery, sales funnels and revenue reports. Creator adds webinars, a website builder, a course creator for up to 500 students and paid newsletters. Enterprise adds SMS, transactional email and a dedicated IP (pricing page). Webinars can be recorded automatically and turned into on-demand webinars when the event ends (webinar article).

Who it suits

A B2B company or educator that runs webinars to find and qualify buyers, and would rather not pay for a separate webinar tool; a course creator who wants lessons and email in one account. Less so a team that only sends a newsletter, or one that needs SMS without an Enterprise contract.

What it costs

USD, checked on 24 October 2026 on the GetResponse pricing page; the yearly figure is per month, paid in advance, with 18% off.

ContactsStarter, monthly / yearlyMarketer, monthly / yearlyCreator, monthly / yearly
1,000$19 / $15.58$59 / $48.38$69 / $56.58
2,500$29 / $23.78$69 / $56.58$79 / $64.78
5,000$54 / $44.28$95 / $77.90$109 / $89.38

Prices are net of local taxes, and charities and NGOs get 50% off monthly plans (pricing page). The free account allows 500 contacts, counting unconfirmed and removed ones (free account).

Upgrades happen in the app at once; downgrades, and moves from annual to monthly billing, go through the support team (pricing FAQ). The path up is self-service and the path down is a ticket, so start monthly until you know the plan fits.

How it compares

Mailchimp caps monthly sends at 10 to 15 times your contacts and its plan table lists no webinars (Mailchimp pricing): the familiar choice for store flows, not for live events.

MailerLite charges $49 a month for 5,000 subscribers on Comfort (MailerLite pricing), under GetResponse Starter's $54, and sells paid newsletters on Comfort rather than a top plan. A writer who charges for issues pays less there; a company that runs webinars gets them here.

Getting started

Schedule a webinar with registration on, invite your list, and follow up the people who registered and did not attend. How to use GetResponse goes through it from the help centre.

FAQ

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free account holds up to 500 contacts and sends up to 2,500 newsletters a month, with no time limit; premium features such as webinars and automation run for the first 14 days only, per the free account article.

Which plan includes webinars?

Creator, with up to 100 attendees, or up to 500 with an add-on; Enterprise allows up to 1,000. A free account is limited to 10 people, presenters included, and one recording of up to 30 minutes, per the plans article.

Can I move down a plan later?

Yes, through the support team rather than in the app, per the pricing page FAQ; returning to the free account is not possible.
