The short answer: if you sell through webinars or online courses, GetResponse is the one of the two that hosts them, on its Creator plan from $69 a month for 1,000 contacts on monthly billing. If your shop or app sends order and password emails, Brevo includes transactional email on every plan, free included, while GetResponse keeps it for its Enterprise package (GetResponse pricing, GetResponse plans guide, Brevo pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). Choose by which of those two jobs is yours.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

GetResponse builds toward selling: unlimited sends on every plan, sales funnels and abandoned cart recovery on Marketer, then webinars, courses and paid newsletters on Creator. Brevo builds toward reach: one volume of email for campaigns and receipts, with SMS, WhatsApp, push and a CRM around it. The overlap is the newsletter and the automation; the edges are where the decision sits.

Before the trial clock starts:

  1. Price the plan you would really use. For example, at 5,000 contacts mailed weekly, GetResponse Marketer with unlimited automation is $95 a month, and Brevo Standard at the 20,000-email step is $69, so the gap is $95 - $69 = $26 a month, or $312 a year (GetResponse pricing, Brevo pricing).
  2. Count the tools you already pay for. If you already run webinars on a tool you like, Creator's webinars are not a reason to move. If you do not, they are part of what the higher price buys.
  3. List every email your website sends by itself. Receipts, password resets, shipping notices. If that list is not empty, check where they go on GetResponse below Enterprise before you sign anything.
  4. Set the measure in week one. For webinar sellers that is attendees per registration and sales per attendee. For a newsletter it is clicks per issue. Write the baseline down before the first send from the new tool.

The free test first

GetResponse's free account takes 500 contacts and 2,500 newsletters a month, and gives premium features for the first 14 days (free account guide). Brevo's free plan sends 300 emails a day. Run one real job on each free plan in the same fortnight: a webinar invitation sequence on GetResponse, a newsletter plus your site's order email on Brevo. Whichever job you could not do on the free plan tells you which paid plan you need.

The three things that decide it

Webinars, courses and funnels

GetResponse's Creator plan combines webinars for up to 100 attendees, an online course builder, paid newsletters and a website builder with everything in Marketer, for up to 5 users (plans guide). Marketer already includes sales funnels, abandoned cart recovery, promo codes and revenue tracking. Brevo lists campaigns, transactional messaging, a sales CRM, a data platform and loyalty on its homepage, and no webinar room. If a webinar is how you sell, the comparison ends here.

Receipts and texts

GetResponse's own guide lists transactional emails, SMS marketing, mobile push and a dedicated IP among the features not available on Starter, Marketer or Creator, and available in the Enterprise package (plans guide). Brevo's pricing FAQ gives every plan transactional email by API and SMTP, and sells SMS credits from Starter. For an online shop below enterprise size, that one row carries most of the decision.

Unlimited sends or counted volume

Every GetResponse plan sends without a monthly limit; you pay by list size, from $19 a month for 1,000 contacts on Starter (pricing). Brevo counts every email, campaigns and transactional together, and attaches a contact allowance to each step: 2,500 contacts at 15,000 emails, then 500,000 contacts from the 20,000 step (pricing). Mailing often favours GetResponse's meter; a large list mailed rarely favours Brevo's.

Twelve months at four list sizes

Monthly billing multiplied by 12, in USD, checked on 26 October 2026 on the GetResponse pricing page and the Brevo pricing page. Brevo is priced for four sends a month on Standard, its first plan with multi-step automation; GetResponse on Marketer, its first plan with unlimited workflows.

ContactsGetResponse Marketer, a yearBrevo Standard, a year
1,000$59 x 12 = $708$35 x 12 = $420, at 10,000 emails
2,500$69 x 12 = $828$49 x 12 = $588, at 15,000 emails
5,000$95 x 12 = $1,140$69 x 12 = $828, at 20,000 emails
10,000$114 x 12 = $1,368$89 x 12 = $1,068, at 40,000 emails

GetResponse takes 18% off for yearly billing and gives charities and NGOs 50% off monthly plans (pricing); Brevo takes 10% off for yearly billing. At these sizes Brevo Standard is cheaper every year. Creator, the plan with webinars, is $69 a month at 1,000 contacts, $10 more than Marketer.

The AI Email Generator, then the presenter's check

GetResponse's AI Email Generator sits under Tools, Email Marketing, Create newsletter. You give it a topic, keywords and your type of business, choose the email type (a webinar invitation fits "Invitation") and the tone, pick a layout and click Generate. The guide then has you add your logo and adjust the message before sending, and that is where the person comes in: the presenter checks the date, time zone and registration link, because a wrong time costs attendees. Starter allows three uses; free accounts get three within the 14-day premium period.

GetResponse prints a yearly saving beside every plan, "save up to $127 a year" on Marketer at 1,000 contacts, and it only arrives if you commit for 12 months before you know the tool fits (pricing). Pay monthly until the free test above has answered the question.

Choose GetResponse if your job is

  • Selling through webinars, courses or paid newsletters from the same account as your email.
  • Mailing often, where unlimited sends on every plan beat counted volume.
  • Running sales funnels and abandoned cart recovery on a mid-priced plan.

Choose Brevo if your job is

  • Sending receipts and account emails alongside newsletters, below enterprise size.
  • Adding SMS credits without an enterprise contract.
  • Keeping costs lower for a list of up to ten thousand people mailed weekly, as the yearly table shows.
