What Is Rank Math? WordPress SEO Plugin With Schema and AI
By Joris van Huët · Rank Math's own site
The short answer: if you run WordPress and want schema markup, sitemaps and on-page checks without paying per site, Rank Math fits. The free plugin covers the basics, and PRO costs €7.99 a month billed annually, excluding VAT, for unlimited personal websites, renewing at €8.99, per the Rank Math pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026.

What the bill looks like after year one:
- Renewal arithmetic. PRO's first year is 12 x €7.99 = €95.88 and each renewal year 12 x €8.99 = €107.88, from the pricing page. Business renews at €27.99 a month, so 12 x €27.99 = €335.88 a year.
- Start from the plugin you run now. The setup wizard imports data from Yoast SEO, All in One SEO, SEOPress, Redirection, Schema Pro and All In One Schema, per the setup guide.
- Measure where the data lives. Rank tracking starts on PRO with 500 keywords, per the plan comparison, so on the free plugin keep Search Console as your record of clicks and positions.
What Rank Math does
It is a WordPress plugin built from modules: titles and meta, XML sitemaps, redirections, analytics from Google Search Console and Analytics, a keyword rank tracker on paid plans, and a schema generator. The free version supports schema types from Article, Product and FAQ to Job Posting, Recipe and Local SEO; PRO adds types such as Dataset, Podcast Episode and Speakable, plus custom schema, multiple schemas per page and code validation, per the schema guide.
Rank Math AI, which includes Content AI and AI Visibility, is a separate subscription from €5.99 a month billed annually, on the AI pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026. PRO includes a trial of it. For assistants, Rank Math exposes MCP tools through the WordPress MCP adapter, from a site-wide audit to reading each post's schema.
Who it suits
Marketing teams running one or several WordPress sites, freelancers and agencies; Business covers 100 client websites and Agency 500, on the pricing page. It does nothing outside self-hosted WordPress.
Plans
From the pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026, per month billed annually, excluding VAT:
| Plan | First year, per month | Renews at, per month | Sites | Tracked keywords |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PRO | €7.99 | €8.99 | Unlimited personal | 500 |
| Business | €24.99 | €27.99 | 100 client | 10,000 |
| Agency | €54.99 | €64.99 | 500 client | 50,000 |
The free plugin sits below these, and paid plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee. The pricing page also carries a table pricing Yoast, AIOSEO and SEOPress at up to 100 sites; a vendor's own comparison grades its own homework, so price the site count you have.
How it compares
- All in One SEO prices by the number of sites, from $49.50 for the first year of Basic renewing at $99, on the AIOSEO pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026. Its free version includes an MCP server with 13 abilities.
- Yoast SEO Premium is $118.80 a year for one site, on the Yoast product page, checked on 24 October 2026; it suits a single site with writers working in Google Docs.
- SEOPress PRO costs $149 a year for unlimited sites and renews at the same price, per the SEOPress pricing page, checked on 24 October 2026, which is the plain choice when renewal increases matter.
