The short answer: if you want to know whether video ads can sell one product before you brief an editor, start on Creatify's Standard plan: $15 a month on monthly billing buys 55 credits, enough for a first test of three styles, and it drops the free plan's watermark (pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). Make sure the product page has images and copy you stand behind, paste its link into URL to Video, correct what Creatify pulled, choose a script and strike any line where an avatar claims a customer's experience as its own, preview several visual styles with one avatar, render the strongest, let an agent in Claude cut extra versions for a person to approve, and run them beside your current ads on the same budget.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

A catalogue of 200 products and a video editor with one free afternoon do not meet. Creatify's answer is to start from the product page you already have. For what Creatify includes and costs, see the Creatify glossary entry.

What to line up first:

  1. A credit budget you can check. The free plan gives 10 credits a month, enough for up to 2 video ads, and Standard gives 55 for $15 a month on monthly billing (pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). For example, a first test of 3 visual styles with one avatar is 3 ads; at the 5 credits each that the free plan implies, that is 3 x 5 = 15 credits, well inside Standard's 55.
  2. The product page and the assets behind it. Creatify accepts links to products and apps, including Amazon, Shopify, App Store and Google Play pages (pricing FAQ). Have your logo and your own product photos ready to swap in.
  3. The ads it has to beat. Note the cost per purchase of the product's current ads, from your shop data rather than the ad platform.

Step 1: Check the page before Creatify reads it

The link step needs at least one image or video on the page, and it fails on sites that block scraping, according to the URL to Video use case, which mirrors the in-app flow. If you build the record from your own product data instead of a link, the same document asks for at least 3 images when there is no video. Read the page as a stranger would: everything on it, including reviews, can end up in the script.

Step 2: Paste the link

Open URL to Video and paste the product link. Creatify analyses the product's details, features, benefits and selling points, then asks you to choose an avatar and generate (URL to Video). Behind the scenes it builds a record of the page: title, description, images, videos, reviews, a short AI summary and a list of likely audiences (URL to Video use case).

Step 3: Correct what Creatify pulled

Creatify's documentation recommends updating that record before any video is made: add a logo, remove low-quality images or videos, and rewrite the description to stress the features you want (API FAQ). Do it now. Every later step inherits this record, and a weak photo removed here never appears in twenty renders.

Step 4: Choose the script, and check who is speaking

Creatify writes scripts in several styles, from emotional to discovery-led (URL to Video use case). Read each one aloud before you pick. Because the page's reviews are in the record, a script can put a customer's words into the mouth of an AI avatar as if they were its own. The FTC's rule bans testimonials that misrepresent that they come from someone who does not exist, and it names AI-generated fakes (FTC). Keep review language framed as what customers say, or cut it.

A script generator is built to find the most persuasive sentence on the page, and persuasion is not the same as permission. The person who owns your claims reads the final script; the tool does not.

Step 5: Preview several styles before you render

Choose the platform, the length (Creatify's documented examples use 15 and 30 seconds) and the aspect ratio, such as 9:16 for Reels and TikTok. Then generate previews in several visual styles, among them full-screen, green-screen and avatar-bubble templates, and render only the ones you would run (URL to Video use case). Keep one avatar across the styles, so style is the only thing that changes.

Step 6: Render, then localise the keeper

Render the chosen previews. If you sell in several countries, re-render the strongest version in the market's language; Creatify offers 75+ (URL to Video). Download the files: you keep the rights to them even after a plan ends (pricing).

Step 7: Let an agent cut more versions, with a person approving

Creatify runs an MCP server at https://api.creatify.ai/mcp, with set-up steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Codex. Its preset prompts include "URL to video ads", which takes a product page and returns three 15-second Meta cuts, and "Hook multiplier", which keeps one body and builds six openings for a split test (Creatify MCP). Ask Claude for the hook multiplier on your winning render.

The agent drafts; a person approves. Every new opening gets the claims check from Step 4 before it is downloaded. Creatify's Performance Agent can also launch campaigns and move budget across connected ad accounts (Performance Agent); for a first test, keep launching and budgets with the person who owns the ad account.

Step 8: Test against the ads you already run

Put the new videos in the same campaign as the product's current ads, with the same budget per version, and compare cost per purchase from your shop data after two weeks. A cheaper click that sells nothing is not a win.

What Creatify's pages warn about

  • Pages that cannot be read. No images or videos, or a site that blocks scraping, stops the link step.
  • Credits that expire. Unused credits are valid for 2 months, not forever (pricing).
  • Watermarks on the free plan. Free exports carry one; Standard removes it. So the first video good enough to run becomes the first one you pay Standard to export clean.
  • Moderated content. Creatify's moderation policy bans deceptive practices and political campaigning, and flags content with automated screening and human review.

FAQ

How long can a Creatify video be?

Up to 2 minutes on Standard and up to 10 minutes on Pro and above (pricing).

Can I make product videos without an avatar?

Yes. Product Ads produces studio-style product shots and animations from your product images (homepage).

Do I need the API for automation?

Not for an agent in Claude, which uses the MCP server. The API is a separate subscription from $99 a month for 500 credits, for teams building their own pipelines (API billing).
