The short answer: if you run an ecommerce brand and want ten named competitors watched every day, ads, emails, launches and store traffic, TrendTrack's Pro plan does that for $89 a month, or $62 a month billed yearly (TrendTrack pricing). If you are hunting for products and angles across Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest ads and TikTok Shop, Winning Hunter's Standard plan covers those networks and tracks 30 brands for $79 a month, or $48 a month billed yearly (Winning Hunter pricing). Both checked on 26 October 2026. Choose TrendTrack if your job is a competitor watchlist; choose Winning Hunter if your job is finding the next product or angle on a tight budget.

Both are ecommerce research tools that index ads and Shopify stores daily and sell access by plan. TrendTrack says it indexes 2 to 3 million new ads every 24 hours across the Shopify and Meta ecosystem and refreshes all data daily (TrendTrack pricing FAQ). Winning Hunter says it adds over 500,000 Facebook ads, 100,000 TikTok ads and 20,000 Pinterest ads a day, and tracks 50,000 new stores daily (Winning Hunter homepage). Those counts are the vendors' own and cannot be checked from outside; the plan features can.
Rule of thumb:
- Divide the price by the brands you can follow. For example, TrendTrack Pro follows 10 brands for $89, which is $89 / 10 = $8.90 a brand a month; Winning Hunter Standard follows 30 for $79, or $79 / 30 = $2.63 (TrendTrack pricing, Winning Hunter pricing). TrendTrack's follow covers ads, emails, traffic and launches, so weigh what you need from each brand first.
- Start with the free library you already have. Meta's public Ad Library shows any advertiser's running ads at no cost. If checking three rivals there once a week is enough, neither subscription is needed yet.
- Count tests, not saves. Each month, count the ads or products from the tool that became a test in your own account or store. That number is what the fee buys.

What separates them
A watchlist, or a search engine
TrendTrack is built around following brands. Brandtracker keeps a set of competitors open, and a Lookup opens any other brand's shop analytics, ads, landing pages and emails for a day; Pro gives 30 Lookups a week and Business unlimited (TrendTrack pricing). Winning Hunter is built around searching. Its Facebook ad library filters by adspend, ad set count, media type and creation dates, and Magic AI shows how many competitors sell the same product and where (Winning Hunter homepage). A brand defending its category wants the watchlist; a seller after its next product wants the search.
Which channels you get
TrendTrack covers Meta, TikTok and Google ads, plus an email library (homepage). Winning Hunter covers Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest ads and TikTok Shop (homepage). If your competitors build on email flows, only one of these shows them; if Pinterest drives your category, only the other.
What the cheapest plan holds back
Neither entry plan opens the Facebook ad library. TrendTrack's Starter is shops only, with ads, products and emails starting on Pro (TrendTrack pricing). Winning Hunter's Basic card lists TikTok Shop, store and brand tracking and Magic AI search, with Facebook ads first appearing on Standard (Winning Hunter pricing). For ad research, compare $89 with $79, not $49 with $49.
Prices, checked on 26 October 2026
| Plan | Monthly | Quarterly, per month | Yearly, per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| TrendTrack Starter | $49 | $41 | $34 |
| TrendTrack Pro | $89 | $76 | $62 |
| TrendTrack Business | $159 | $135 | $111 |
| Winning Hunter Basic | $49 | $42 | $30, $360 a year |
| Winning Hunter Standard | $79 | $68 | $48, $576 a year |
| Winning Hunter Enterprise | $150 | $212 as displayed | $150, $1,800 a year |
USD, from TrendTrack pricing and the Winning Hunter pricing section. Winning Hunter's quarterly toggle showed Enterprise at $212 a month, above its $150 monthly price, so confirm that figure at checkout before choosing a quarterly term. Both vendors say you can cancel at any time.
A daily competitor pull by agent, read by a person
Winning Hunter documents one MCP endpoint, https://app.winninghunter.com/mcp, which Claude connects to as a custom connector with OAuth, and which shares a key and a credit pool with its API: 20,000 calls a month from Standard (Winning Hunter MCP, credits and billing). The job: each morning, ask Claude to pull the Facebook ads that three named rivals launched in the last day, filter by adspend, and list the hooks and offers that are new since yesterday.
A person reads it before anything changes. The creative lead discards angles that rely on claims your product cannot make, picks one to test, and briefs it. TrendTrack offers the same pattern through its own connector, with 11 tools in Claude and support for ChatGPT, Perplexity and n8n, on Pro and above (TrendTrack MCP); its how-to builds the daily digest step by step.
Free first
Run a fortnight on Meta's free Ad Library: the same three rivals, checked every Monday, findings in a sheet. Winning Hunter lets you start searching without a credit card (Winning Hunter homepage), which adds its filters to that test for nothing. Pay only when the weekly check has become a daily need.
Winning Hunter prints "74% of people choose this plan" above Standard, and Standard is also the cheapest plan whose card lists Facebook ads (Winning Hunter pricing). The badge does the persuading that the feature list would otherwise have to do; read the Basic card line by line first, and if Facebook ads are what you came for, the badge is right for a reason it does not state.
Pick by the job
Choose TrendTrack if your job is following a fixed list of competitors across Meta, TikTok and Google ads, emails, launches and store traffic, with a seat count for a small team on Business.
Choose Winning Hunter if your job is product and angle research across Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest ads and TikTok Shop, with many brands tracked for a lower monthly price.
The TrendTrack entry covers its plans and Lookups. Winning Hunter has no entry here; its site is winninghunter.com.
FAQ
Where does TrendTrack's ad spend data come from?
TrendTrack's FAQ says ad spend is sourced from Meta's own data and store traffic from SimilarWeb, and its homepage notes that spend and reach are limited to EU and UK ads by Meta (TrendTrack pricing FAQ, homepage).
Can I use Winning Hunter's API on the Basic plan?
Barely. Basic includes 100 API and MCP credits a month, Standard and above 20,000, and accounts without a paid plan have none (credits and billing).
Does TrendTrack's Starter plan include ads?
No. Starter opens the shop database with 5 Lookups a week and 2 tracked brands; ads, products and emails start on Pro at $89 a month (TrendTrack pricing, checked on 26 October 2026).
