Convert.com vs VWO: A Price You Can Read or a Proposal

The short answer: consider Convert.com if your team runs its own A/B tests and wants the bill on the page: Growth is $299 a month billed annually, $3,588 a year, for 100,000 tested users a month (Convert pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). Consider VWO, now sold as Wingify, if testing is one part of a programme that also needs heatmaps, recordings and personalization under one contract, quoted on monthly active users after a 30-day trial (Wingify pricing). Search suggestions do not pair these two; VWO is simply the closest documented alternative to Convert, so the useful question is which shape of purchase fits your team.

Before you start either trial:
- Translate your traffic into each unit. Convert bills tested users, the people bucketed into any experience, and an annual plan gets its 1.2 million a year all at once; Wingify prices on monthly active users, depending on the product (Convert pricing, Wingify pricing FAQ). For example, a store that tests 60,000 people a month for ten months and 300,000 in each of two peak months uses 10 x 60,000 + 2 x 300,000 = 1,200,000 tested users, exactly Growth's annual allowance. Ask Wingify to quote the same year in its own unit.
- List what the tests will sit beside. Convert's Growth plan includes Convert Signals and heatmaps (Convert pricing); Wingify sells behaviour analytics as its own suite next to experimentation (Wingify homepage). If you already pay for heatmaps and recordings elsewhere, the case for one platform gets weaker.
- Fix the statistics before the first launch. A Wingify campaign runs on Bayesian or frequentist statistics and cannot switch once it runs (statistics guide); Convert reports in the vocabulary of each experience's engine, Bayesian, fixed-sample or sequential (Convert MCP page). Then run one A/A test in the trial. The stopping rule itself is set up in the landing page test.
Who each one is for
Convert sells one product, Convert Experiences, self-serve. Growth covers A/B and split URL tests, deploys, behavioural targeting, heatmaps and an SRM check; Pro adds multivariate and multi-page tests, full stack with feature flags, and sequential testing; API access and the MCP server come with every plan (Convert pricing). It fits a team or agency that tests every week and wants to know the invoice before the first call.
Wingify is what VWO became after its merger with AB Tasty, announced on 20 January 2026, and vwo.com now opens wingify.com; existing VWO contracts, pricing and support stay unchanged, per the merger announcement. The platform runs experimentation, personalization, analytics, feature management, commerce and customer engagement on one customer profile (Wingify homepage). It fits a team that wants the insight and the test in one place and is ready for a sales-led proposal.
Side by side

| What is counted | Tested users | Monthly active users; tracked users for behaviour analytics |
| Trial | 15 days, no card | 30 days, no card |
| Entry plan, both named Growth | A/B and split URL tests, heatmaps, SRM check, 5 active experiences per project | Unlimited experiments, multi-armed bandits, QA Assistant |
| Sample ratio mismatch check | Growth | Pro |
| Multivariate tests | Pro | Pro |
| API access | Every plan | Enterprise |
| MCP server | Every plan, hosted or local (MCP page) | Wingz Core, free with paid products; behaviour data in the MCP needs Wingz Advanced |

Where they part
A price list against a proposal
Convert prints three numbers per plan and an overuse rate. Wingify prints none: its FAQ says the quote follows traffic, the products chosen and the implementation scope, with discounts for bundles and multi-year deals (Wingify pricing). Neither model is wrong. A fixed list suits a team that buys one tool and runs it; a proposal suits a programme that will add personalization or analytics within the year.
Two plans called Growth
The names match; the contents do not. Convert's Growth includes the check that flags a traffic split drifting from what you set, and caps you at 5 projects with 5 active experiences each (Convert pricing). Wingify's Growth runs unlimited experiments but lists sample ratio mismatch detection, guardrail metrics and multivariate tests under Pro, and API access under Enterprise (Wingify pricing). Ask each quote which checks your plan carries, by name.
Prices on 26 October 2026
| Your testing | Convert.com | VWO, sold as Wingify |
|---|---|---|
| 100,000 tested users a month, A/B and split tests | Growth: $3,588 a year, or $399 a month | Growth, quoted |
| The same, with multivariate or sequential tests | Pro: $5,040 a year, or $599 a month | Pro for multivariate, quoted |
| Over 1,000,000 a month | Enterprise, quoted, annual only | Enterprise, quoted |
Convert's prices are in US dollars excluding tax, checked on 26 October 2026: annual billing works out at $299 a month on Growth and $420 on Pro, overuse costs $399 per extra 100,000 tested users on Growth and can be switched off, and no plan includes development support (Convert pricing). Wingify published no figure on 26 October 2026; its form asks for your details and offers a proposal, and non-profits get preferential pricing (Wingify pricing).
One agent request, two permission models
Put the same request to both MCP servers during the trials: "Create a split URL test that sends half of /pricing visitors to /pricing-v2 and keeps the query parameters." Convert's hosted connector reaches only the accounts and projects you approved at sign-in, keeps write tools apart from read and delete tools, reads its draft back, and asks for explicit confirmation before activating anything (Convert MCP page). Wingify's server has a tool to create split URL tests, the permission level (Admin, Publish or Design, for example) is chosen when you connect, and a running campaign must be paused before Claude may change it (Wingify MCP guide, Claude connector guide).
The human check: a person previews both versions on a phone and a laptop, follows a link with UTM tags to confirm they survive the redirect, and starts the test by hand. Give the agent the narrowest access that still lets it draft.
Wingify also publishes its own comparison with Convert. Its AI table credits Convert with "MCP access only" and says Convert's MCP builds campaigns without performance summaries (Wingify vs Convert), while Convert's MCP page shows its server summarising running experiments and reading each result by its statistics engine. A comparison written by one side is a brief for its demo; check each line on the other vendor's own page, and ask which of the AI features shown come with the plan being quoted, since behaviour data in Wingify's MCP sits in the paid Wingz Advanced upgrade (Wingify pricing).
Choose Convert.com if
- Your job is running A/B and split URL tests every week with a fixed, published bill.
- You want the SRM check, the API and the MCP server on the entry plan (Convert pricing).
- Your traffic is seasonal and an annual allowance usable at any time fits it.
Choose VWO if
- Your job is a programme where heatmaps, recordings, personalization and tests share one customer profile (Wingify homepage).
- You want a month of trial before talking to sales, and a quote that can grow with the products you add.
- You already run VWO and its contract carries on unchanged under the Wingify name.
FAQ
Is VWO still sold under that name?
It is sold as Wingify. The domain vwo.com opens wingify.com, and the merger announcement says existing VWO contracts, pricing, service levels and support stay unchanged (merger announcement).
Which entry plan includes the SRM check?
Convert's: Growth lists it (Convert pricing). Wingify lists sample ratio mismatch detection under Pro (Wingify pricing).
What happens to the data when you stop?
On Wingify, web tests pause when the trial ends, reports stay readable, and an account idle across every product is removed after 45 days (trial guide). On Convert, a cancelled plan's data stays in the account for three months in case you return (Convert pricing FAQ).
