Outgrow vs ScoreApp: A Calculated Figure or a Scored Verdict

The short answer: consider Outgrow if your lead magnet hands back a number, an ROI estimate, a quote or a savings figure, and consider ScoreApp if it hands back a verdict by category, such as "ready on sales, behind on data". At 100 leads a month both have an entry plan: Outgrow Freelancer at $22 a month billed monthly, or $14 billed annually, allows 3,000 leads a year, and ScoreApp Starter at $39 a month, or $351 a year, allows 100 responses a month (checked on 26 October 2026 on the Outgrow and ScoreApp pricing pages). The price that separates them is branding: ScoreApp removes its logo on Starter, while Outgrow's plan table removes its own only on Business, at $720 a month or $600 billed annually, or on Essentials with a small business incentive.

Before the trial clock starts:
- Price the version with your name on it. For example, a white-label result costs $351 a year on ScoreApp Starter against 12 x $600 = $7,200 a year on Outgrow Business, using the ScoreApp and Outgrow pricing pages; Outgrow's Essentials tier, at $95 a month billed annually, removes its branding only with its small business incentive. If Outgrow's branding on the page is acceptable, the comparison drops to 12 x $14 = $168 against $351 a year on annual billing.
- Start from the file sales already trusts. If an account executive quotes savings from a spreadsheet, Outgrow's formula builder takes the Excel file and maps its cells to questions. If sales instead runs a discovery call with set topics, those topics are ScoreApp's categories.
- Decide which field must reach the CRM. On Outgrow's standard integrations only lead-form data goes across; answers and results follow on Business, or on Freelancer Pro and Essentials with the small business incentive, per its pricing page. ScoreApp's HubSpot guide maps category score, highest score or tier. Send one test lead through and check the contact record before any traffic.
Both build an interactive piece with a lead form and a results screen. What differs is the arithmetic behind the result and how much of the page you control.

Three differences that decide it
A number or a verdict
Outgrow's calculators run on a formula builder that accepts Excel-style IF conditions, nested ones included, and its graded assessments mark each option correct or incorrect, then change the result message by score, per its assessment guide. ScoreApp adds points per answer, converts each category's total into a 0 to 100% score and maps it to tiers you name, so a result reads "Medium on marketing, High on leadership", per its scoring logic article. A buyer asking "what would this save me" wants the first. A buyer asking "how ready is the company" wants the second.
Whose name sits on the result
On Outgrow's Freelancer and Freelancer Pro plans the content is hosted on an Outgrow subdomain and its branding cannot be removed; the Business plan adds your own domain and removes it, per the pricing page. ScoreApp's Starter removes the "powered by ScoreApp" logo and Business adds your own domain. For a consultancy whose scorecard is the first piece of work a prospect sees, that line weighs more than any feature.
What a busy month does
Outgrow counts leads a year, which absorbs a launch spike: Freelancer Pro's 12,000 a year is 1,000 a month on average, per its pricing page, and its billing FAQ adds an extra set of leads to the subscription when you pass the limit. ScoreApp counts each month. Its plan guide keeps collecting to 120% of the monthly quota, holds those leads' data until you upgrade, and takes the scorecard offline for new leads after that until the next cycle.
The money, plan by plan
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | Allowance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outgrow Freelancer | $22 a month | $14 a month, $168 a year | 3,000 leads a year, 5 pieces |
| Outgrow Freelancer Pro | $45 a month | $25 a month, $300 a year | 12,000 leads a year, 7 pieces |
| Outgrow Essentials | $115 a month | $95 a month, $1,140 a year | 90,000 leads a year |
| Outgrow Business | $720 a month | $600 a month, $7,200 a year | 600,000 leads a year |
| ScoreApp Starter | $39 a month | $351 a year | 100 responses a month, 3 scorecards |
| ScoreApp Business | $99 a month | $891 a year | 1,000 responses a month, 10 scorecards |
| ScoreApp Pro | $149 a month | $1,341 a year | 3,000 responses a month, 30 scorecards |
USD, checked on 26 October 2026 on the Outgrow and ScoreApp pricing pages; annual totals are 12 times the monthly rate where the vendor shows only that. Outgrow takes annual payment upfront. ScoreApp's paid plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee, and Enterprise starts at $799 a month.
One AI step: a calculator checked against the spreadsheet
Outgrow's AI Assistant asks about your goal, audience and format, then generates a piece you can edit question by question. Use it for the wording and the welcome screen, and keep the arithmetic in the sales spreadsheet you uploaded through the formula builder. The human check is numerical: before publishing, a person runs three input sets through the calculator, a small customer, a typical one and an extreme one, and compares each result with the spreadsheet to the cent. One mismatch means a cell is mapped to the wrong question, and the calculator stays in preview, which Outgrow's pricing FAQ says keeps it unpublished and out of search engines.
ScoreApp's equivalent is its AI Builder, which drafts concepts, questions and scoring from a chat and then lets you edit, delete or re-weight them. The full segmenting workflow, with test answer sets, is in the quiz lead magnet use case.
Choose Outgrow if the job is
- An ROI, savings or pricing calculator that sales already runs in Excel.
- A product recommender for a shop, from Freelancer Pro up.
- High lead volume for little money, if Outgrow's own branding on the page is acceptable.
Choose ScoreApp if the job is
- A readiness scorecard with a result per category and a page per score tier.
- A branded result on a small budget, since Starter drops the ScoreApp logo.
- A PDF report emailed to each respondent, which starts on Business, per the pricing page.
Free route first, and what the trial is set to
ScoreApp's free plan holds one live scorecard and 10 responses a month with no card, enough to put five colleagues and five friendly customers through the real thing. Outgrow has no free quiz or calculator plan: the Custom Plans tab of its pricing page lists a $0 Basic plan for forms and surveys only, so the calculator test runs on its 7-day trial.
Know what that trial is set to. Outgrow's pricing FAQ says the trial gives you the Business plan for 7 days, so the calculator you build that week can lean on a custom domain, branding removal and result integrations priced at $600 a month billed annually; the default shows you the top self-serve tier first and leaves you to discover which parts survive on Freelancer. Before you enter a card, list every feature the trial piece uses and check each against the Freelancer row of the pricing page.
