The short answer: start with both free plans, because they answer most of the question: Prospeo gives 100 credits a month, which is 100 verified emails or 10 mobile numbers, and Apollo.io gives 75 per seat, per the Prospeo and Apollo pricing pages checked on 26 October 2026. If your team calls and wants verified mobiles pushed into HubSpot, Salesforce or a sequencer it already runs, Prospeo is the narrower buy at $49 per user a month on Starter. If the team needs the list and the sequence in one place, an Apollo Basic seat at $65 does both.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

Three checks before a card goes in:

  1. Price a calling list. For example, 200 prospects with a mobile and an email cost 200 x 10 = 2,000 credits in Prospeo, since a mobile reveal brings the email free, which is a full Starter month at $49 per user, per its credits article. In Apollo the same 200 cost 200 x (8 + 1) = 1,800 credits, inside one Basic seat's 2,500 at $65, per the Apollo pricing page.
  2. Enrich the file you already have. Prospeo's paid plans take a file of up to 20,000 lines and charge nothing when no email is found, per its CSV Enrichment overview, and re-enriching a record within 90 days is free. Your CRM export is the first test, before any search.
  3. Count pick-ups, not reveals. Prospeo's data page puts calls to its verified mobiles at a 30% pick-up rate on average. Dial the first 50 numbers from each tool and write your own figure beside it.

Prospeo is a finder and enrichment service for verified B2B emails and mobile numbers, with a searchable database on top and no sending of its own. Apollo.io keeps the search and the outreach together: a database, sequences, a dialer and agents, sold per seat.

Three places they differ

Mobiles, and how fresh they are

Prospeo puts its effort into the phone. Its data page counts 125M+ verified mobile numbers and says only records that pass five verification steps reach the search results. Apollo prices a number at 8 credits and describes refreshing records whenever it captures a signal such as a job change, with monthly checks across the whole database, per its data overview. For a team that cold calls, the published cadence and the per-mobile price are Prospeo's case.

What a search costs when an AI runs it

This one matters once an assistant does the searching. Through Claude, Prospeo charges 1 credit per page of people or company results, 1 for an email and 10 for an email with a mobile, while account checks are free, per its Claude MCP article. Apollo's people search over MCP spends no credits, while company search and enrichment do, per its MCP article. An agent that browses a lot of people costs more in Prospeo.

After the export

Apollo keeps going: the saved contact can enter a sequence or a call in the same account. Prospeo hands the record to the CRM or the sequencer you use, with CRM enrichment for HubSpot and Salesforce from its Growth plan. If your outbound already runs in Instantly, lemlist or HubSpot, Prospeo adds data without adding a second place to send from.

Prospeo inside Apollo

You can also keep Apollo and add Prospeo as a source. Apollo's marketplace lists Prospeo as a waterfall enrichment partner for work emails, phones and email validation. Apollo's waterfall overview says each source that returns data charges credits.

One agent step, gated by Claude's permissions

Connect Prospeo to Claude Desktop as a custom connector with https://mcp.prospeo.io, on any plan with API access (Starter, Growth or Pro), per its Claude MCP article. The article points to Claude's permission settings for the connector: set the enrichment tools to ask before each run. Then ask Claude to check the Prospeo balance, search for the roles you sell to at a list of named accounts, and show the people before enriching anyone. The person who owns the accounts reads that list and approves the mobiles worth 10 credits each; the rest get an email or nothing.

Per-user prices, both vendors

Both reset credits at the end of the billing cycle without rollover, per Prospeo's credits article and Apollo's pricing FAQ. Yearly plans on both grant the year's credits upfront.

Apollo ends a 14-day trial the moment you upgrade, and any trial credits left over do not carry into the paid plan, per its trial article. The design rewards buying early; the buyer is better served by using the full 14 days.

Free, then paid

The free plans settle a lot. Search the ten accounts that fit your ICP most closely in both. On Prospeo, spend the 100 free credits on ten mobiles at 10 each, per its credits article; on Apollo's Free plan, spend some of the 75 on emails for the same people. Dial the ten numbers, send the emails, and you have a coverage and pick-up comparison on your own market for nothing.

Choose Prospeo if

  • Your job is putting verified mobiles in front of reps who call, inside the CRM they use.
  • You enrich large files, where 20,000 rows per action and free re-enrichment within 90 days count, per the pricing page and credits article.
  • Sending already lives elsewhere.

Choose Apollo.io if

  • Your job is building lists and running sequences from one seat.
  • An AI assistant will browse a lot of people before anyone enriches, since Apollo's people search over MCP spends no credits.
  • You want one bill for data, sequences and a dialer.

FAQ

Does Prospeo send emails?

No. It finds and verifies, then exports to CSV or pushes leads to your CRM or sequencer, per its welcome article.

Do I pay when Prospeo finds nothing?

No. A search with no result and an email that cannot be found cost nothing, per its credits article.

Can I use Prospeo data inside Apollo?

Yes, as a source in Apollo's waterfall enrichment, listed on its Prospeo partner page. Apollo charges credits for each source that returns data.
