The short answer: for a launch month that needs an animated logo intro, a promo video, a logo pack and a one-page site, Renderforest covers the lot from one plan: Pro is $39 a month on monthly billing, with HD1080 template exports, logos with SVG files, mockups and a premium website (Renderforest pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). For the weekly flow after launch, the posts, ads, decks and short edits, Canva is the tool a team lives in: Pro is US$18 a month or US$144 a year for one person, and Business US$25 a month or US$250 a year per person (Canva pricing). Choose Renderforest if your job is a burst of motion-designed launch assets. Choose Canva if your job is the design work that never stops.

Three sums for a launch:

  1. One-off purchases against a month of Pro. For example, one HD1080 video export at $24, a logo pack at $29 and two mockups at $5 each come to 24 + 29 + 2 x 5 = $63 on Renderforest without a plan, against $39 for a month of Pro that covers them all (Renderforest pricing). Buy the month, cancel when the launch ships.
  2. The brand kit you already keep. If logos, colours and fonts sit in a Canva Brand Kit, the launch social posts start there, five kits on Pro and 100 with approvals on Business (Canva pricing). Renderforest asks for the same assets again for its templates.
  3. Seats for the people who make things. For example, a five-person team on Canva Business is 5 x US$250 = US$1,250 a year; Renderforest's Business plan is $59 a month on monthly billing and counts storage at 100 GB per seat (Canva pricing, Renderforest pricing).
  4. What the launch video has to do. Pick the measure now: visits to the launch page from the video, against the launch before.

Where the two part ways

Motion design you could not make yourself

Renderforest's templates are built by motion designers: intros and logo reveals, 3D explainers, mascot stories, music visualisations (Renderforest). You fill in text, colours, logo and music and export. Canva's video editor is a timeline for your own clips with hook templates, captions and animation presets (Canva video editor). A ten-second 3D logo reveal for a launch film is Renderforest's strength; a weekly reel from phone footage is Canva's.

The volume after launch

Canva covers more than 1,000 design types, from posts and ads to decks, with resizing among its Pro AI tools and social scheduling on Pro (Canva pricing). Renderforest's own summary positions it as video-first next to general design suites (llms.txt). For a team publishing every day, the tool that holds all the formats wins, and a launch kit is a month's work, not a year's.

What a seat includes

Canva Pro is for one person only, per its pricing FAQ, and Business adds collaboration, team admin and twenty times Canva Free's AI allowance (Canva pricing). Renderforest adds team management and a reseller licence for up to 10 clients on Business, with storage counted per seat (Renderforest pricing). Agencies making launch kits for clients should look at that reseller line first.

Prices side by side

Renderforest, monthly billing: Lite $15 with HD720 exports, Pro $39, Business $59 with 4K. Billed annually: Lite $9 a month; Pro $13.3 and Business $27.3 a month in the first year under a Halloween sale, then $19 and $39 (Renderforest pricing). Canva: Pro US$18 a month or US$144 a year; Business US$25 a month or US$250 a year per person, excluding tax (Canva pricing). All checked on 26 October 2026.

The old-logo audit, by agent

Canva's MCP server lets an AI assistant search and retrieve a user's designs, pages and folders and add comments to designs, and its documentation lists search and comments among the capabilities on all plans (Canva MCP overview, access and permissions). Each user signs in with their own Canva account, and the assistant can only reach designs that user may see. Before a rebrand or a launch that renames a product, ask the assistant to search the library for designs that still use the old product name, list them by folder, and leave a comment on each one asking the owner to update or archive it.

The human check: the agent edits nothing. The brand owner reads the list, decides which designs change, and resolves the comments as the updates are made. Renderforest's AI sits inside its editor, where text-to-video turns a script into scenes with visuals, voiceover and music (Renderforest); its developer docs also describe an API with Node.js and PHP SDKs.

The countdown and the second year

Renderforest's banner counts down the days left in its Halloween sale, and the Pro card below it prices the first year at $13.3 a month, with $19 a month after the first year in smaller type (Renderforest pricing). A countdown sells the year that is cheap and leaves the renewing year to happen on its own. Decide on the second-year figure, and put the renewal date in a calendar before paying.

Free first

Renderforest has a free plan with watermarked exports at limited resolution, per its llms.txt summary, and asks for no card to start. Canva Free includes 1.6M+ templates, 5GB of storage and up to 20 AI uses (Canva pricing). Draft the launch intro in Renderforest's free plan and the launch post set in Canva Free. Pay only for the one whose draft the launch needs.

Pick by the job

  • Choose Renderforest if your job is a launch or rebrand that needs motion-designed video, a logo pack, mockups and a simple site in the same month.
  • Choose Canva if your job is the brand's ongoing design output, made by a team that shares Brand Kits and publishes every week.

The Renderforest entry has its plans and credits. Canva has no entry; canva.com is the reference. For Canva against a video-only template editor, see FlexClip vs Canva.

FAQ

Can Renderforest export in 4K?

On Business, for templates that support 4K, per the pricing FAQ (Renderforest pricing).

Do Canva prices include tax?

No. The pricing page says its prices exclude applicable tax (Canva pricing).

Can I pay a Renderforest annual plan monthly?

No. Its FAQ says annual plans are paid up front, so paying month by month means choosing a monthly plan (Renderforest pricing).
