Replo vs GemPages: A Hosted Agent or Pages in Your Theme

The short answer: if your landing pages have to live inside the Shopify theme on your main domain, as product templates, collection pages or content that builds search traffic, GemPages does that for $29 a month on Build, with no cap on published pages (GemPages pricing). If you buy paid social traffic and want an agent to build a page per ad, hosted beside the store so nothing can break the theme, Replo is built for it, at $119 a month on monthly billing for Starter, or $99 billed annually, with 10,000 credits and 100,000 visitor sessions (Replo pricing). Both checked on 26 October 2026.
Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.
Before you switch:
- Convert the ad budget into sessions. For example, 3,500 paid clicks a day for 30 days is 105,000 visitor sessions, past Starter's 100,000; Replo's billing guide asks you to email support when traffic regularly runs past the allowance (billing guide). GemPages pages in your theme are served by your Shopify store, and its plan cards set no session allowance (GemPages pricing).
- Keep the store you have. Replo syncs products from Shopify, writes to a real Shopify cart and sends orders to your Shopify admin, while its pages sit on a subdomain (product overview). GemPages edits inside the theme: home, product, collection, landing and blog pages, plus theme sections.
- Decide which report is the record. Shopify reports page views only for pages it hosts, so Replo page traffic shows in Replo's Insights and GA4, while the orders still show in Shopify (analytics guide). Pick the order-level number before the first campaign.

What decides it
Inside the theme or beside it
GemPages writes into the theme, so a page shares the store's domain, its apps and its analytics. Replo Agent pages are server-rendered React apps on Cloudflare's edge, which its docs say is why they are fast and why they cannot be uploaded into a Liquid theme (subdomain guide). The same guide sends homepage and core SEO content back to the root domain. Campaign pages beside the store, evergreen pages inside it: that is the split Replo itself recommends.
A flat fee or a meter
GemPages charges by tier: $29, $59 or $199 a month, whatever you publish. Replo charges a plan plus credits, spent "based on how much work it takes", with monthly credits that reset unused, packs of 2,500 to buy more, auto reload, and a monthly credit limit you can set (billing guide). Replo prints no credit cost per page. If your team rebuilds pages often, set that limit on day one.
Three sets of numbers
A GemPages page is a Shopify page, so Shopify's own reports see its visits and its orders. A Replo page splits them: Insights and GA4 for traffic, Shopify for orders (analytics guide). That is workable, and the subdomain guide explains why the Meta Pixel and cookies carry across, but it means conversion rate is calculated from two systems instead of one.
What you pay, checked on 26 October 2026
Replo, US dollars (pricing): Free, 1,000 credits once; Starter $119 a month, or $99 a month billed annually, 10,000 credits and 100,000 sessions; Pro $599, or $499 billed annually, 50,000 credits and 500,000 sessions; Custom by quote.
GemPages, US dollars, monthly billing (pricing): Free, one published page; Build $29; Optimize $59; Enterprise $199. GemPages no longer offers yearly plans to new customers. A/B tests run in GemX, a separate app (GemX article).
The free test
Build the landing page for one ad on both free plans: GemPages publishes it inside your theme with no card, and Replo builds and publishes it on a replosites.com address with its 1,000 starting credits (billing guide). Split the ad's traffic by day and compare orders per session in Shopify.
Know the default before the second page. Replo creates new projects in whichever product your workspace uses by default, and its docs describe no path from an Agent page back into a Shopify theme (product overview), so every page built there stays hosted, and renewed, with Replo.
An agent that reports every Monday
Replo's Tasks run a prompt on a schedule and email the result (Tasks guide). Open Tasks, click New task, and write the instructions the way you would in chat: "Every Monday at 8am, list last week's sessions, orders and conversion rate for each published page, and flag any page whose conversion rate fell by a fifth or more." Set it to repeat weekly, add the people who should receive it, and use Run now to test the instructions before the first scheduled run.
The human check sits on the Monday desk. Before acting on a flag, the reader matches the report's order count for the week against Shopify's orders from the same campaign, because Shopify holds the orders and Replo holds the traffic. Only when the two agree does a falling page get rebuilt.
Choose Replo if your job is
- Building a landing page for each ad angle from the ad itself.
- Shipping campaign pages without touching the live theme.
- Selling outside Shopify too, through Stripe or an external checkout.
Choose GemPages if your job is
- Building product, collection and home pages inside the theme.
- Keeping many campaign pages live for one flat monthly fee.
- Adding sections to a theme you want to keep.
When the numbers disagree
If, a month in, Replo's Insights, GA4 and Shopify still give three conversion rates for the same campaign, the problem has moved from pages to measurement. A causal attribution tool such as Causality Engine is built for that question; I founded it, so weigh the suggestion accordingly.
FAQ
Can Replo still build inside my Shopify theme?
Yes, through its separate Theme Builder, which publishes sections, blog posts and product templates into the theme. Agent pages cannot be moved into a theme (product overview).
Does a Replo subdomain break my Meta Pixel?
Replo's guide says the pixel's cookie sits on your root domain and is shared with subdomains, and that Meta's domain verification of the root covers them (subdomain guide).
Is there a GemPages free trial?
No time-limited trial. The free plan publishes one page with no card, and paid plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee (GemPages pricing).
