The short answer: a team of five that shares one prospecting budget pays for Snov.io once: every Sales Suite plan includes unlimited team seats, and Starter costs $39 a month for 1,000 credits and 5,000 recipients, against 5 x $65 = $325 for five Apollo.io Basic seats, per the Snov.io and Apollo pricing pages, monthly billing, checked on 26 October 2026. Apollo.io earns its seat price when the list has to come from search: its database claims 240M+ contacts, while Snov.io's Database Search describes more than 50 million prospects. Choose by where your next list comes from.

Check these in order:
- Price the month you will really have. For example, 800 new prospects a month with three follow-ups each use 800 Snov.io credits and 800 recipients, inside Starter's 1,000 and 5,000, because follow-ups in the same billing period are free, per the Snov.io pricing FAQ. In Apollo the 800 verified emails use 800 credits, a third of one Basic seat's 2,500, but each extra person who needs a login adds $65, per the Apollo pricing page.
- Start from where your prospects already are. If your team finds people on LinkedIn, Snov.io's extension saves them as you browse, and its LinkedIn Automation runs connection requests and messages for $69 a slot a month, $10 less alongside a Sales Suite plan, per the pricing FAQ. Apollo's LinkedIn steps are reminders a rep completes by hand, set out in lemlist vs Apollo.io.
- Read the counts before you pay. Run the same ideal-customer filters in both and note how many people each returns: Snov.io shows a "Prospects found" number, per its Database Search guide, and Apollo shows a total that its data overview recommends as the coverage check.
Snov.io is a one-account kit for a small team: finder, verifier, warm-up, email and LinkedIn campaigns, and a CRM, with seats that cost nothing extra. Apollo.io's case is reach: a large searchable database by role and firmographics, with sequences and a dialer attached to each paid seat.

What separates them
Who pays for the second login
Snov.io lists unlimited team seats with credits and recipients shared across the team, on its pricing page. Apollo bills each seat and puts every seat on the same plan, per its pricing FAQ. For a marketing lead, a founder and two sellers who each search a little, that difference is most of the bill.
How far the search reaches
This is the Apollo.io fact that matters here. Its homepage claims 240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts, and a filtered search shows the total of matching records before anyone reveals a contact, per the homepage and the data overview. Snov.io's Database Search guide describes more than 50 million prospects, refreshed monthly, with emails added once you save someone to a list. A narrow market in one country is where the smaller pool runs out first. The counts from the third check above tell you whether yours is one.
The second channel
Snov.io adds LinkedIn as a paid slot per account and runs it inside the same multichannel campaign as email. Apollo adds the phone: a US dialer from Basic, charged at 1 credit per 30 seconds, per its pricing page. Pick the tool whose second channel matches where your buyers answer.
One agent step, with a confirm before anything sends
Connect Snov.io to Claude or ChatGPT at https://mcp.snov.io/mcp, then ask it to search the database for your ideal customer, verify the results and draft a campaign, per the MCP guide. The guide splits its tools into view-only and take-action ones, and says your AI tool should ask you to confirm before it creates, sends or updates anything. Keep that confirm. The person who owns the list reads the saved prospects and the first email before saying yes to the launch.
Monthly budgets, side by side
Checked on 26 October 2026 on the Snov.io and Apollo pricing pages, monthly billing in USD.
| Monthly budget | Snov.io | Apollo.io |
|---|---|---|
| $0 | Trial: 50 credits, 100 recipients, 25 enrichment tokens, renewed every month | Free: 75 credits a seat, 2 sequences, Gmail only |
| $39 | Starter: unlimited seats, 1,000 credits, 5,000 recipients, 3 warm-up slots | Less than one Basic seat |
| $65 | Starter, with $26 to spare | One Basic seat: 2,500 credits, one mailbox |
| $99 | Pro S: unlimited seats, 5,000 credits, 25,000 recipients, unlimited warm-ups | One Professional seat: 4,000 credits, unlimited Google and Microsoft mailboxes |
Annual billing takes 25% off at Snov.io, bringing Starter to $29.25 and Pro S to $74.25 a month, per its pricing page, and 24% off at Apollo, bringing Basic to $49 and Professional to $79 a seat, per the Apollo pricing page.
Snov.io's Trial renews every month but leaves out export, bulk tools and the API, per its pricing FAQ, so a list you build there stays inside Snov.io until you pay.
Free first
Both free tiers answer the main question. Apollo's Free plan gives 75 credits a month; Snov.io's Trial gives 50 credits and 100 recipients, renewed every 30 days, per the Apollo and Snov.io pricing pages. Run your filters in both, save the same 30 people where each finds them, and send one short campaign from Snov.io's single warm-up slot. The count of prospects found and the bounces on those 30 tell you which pool covers your market.
Choose Snov.io if
- Your job is giving a small team one shared budget to find, verify and email prospects.
- LinkedIn connection requests and messages belong in the same sequence as email.
- You want unused monthly credits to carry over while you subscribe.
Choose Apollo.io if
- Your job is finding buyers you cannot yet name, across a large database, by role and company.
- Phone calls are part of the plan, from the same seat.
- One or two people do the prospecting, so per-seat pricing stays small.
Each tool on its own: the Snov.io entry and the Apollo.io entry.
FAQ
Does Snov.io charge per user?
No. Every Sales Suite plan lists unlimited team seats, with credits and recipients shared, per the Snov.io pricing page.
Do follow-up emails use more Snov.io recipients?
No. A recipient is charged at first contact, and follow-ups to that person in the same billing period are free and unlimited, per the pricing FAQ.
Can I search Apollo.io without spending credits?
Yes. A search returns profiles and a count, and credits go when you reveal an email (1) or a phone number (8), per the Apollo pricing page. Through Apollo MCP, searching is free and enrichment uses plan credits, per its MCP article.
