The short answer: for a team of four running LinkedIn and email in one sequence, the two Multichannel plans land within $40 a month of each other, 4 x $99 = $396 on Reply.io against 4 x $109 = $436 on lemlist on monthly billing, and the order flips on yearly billing, 4 x $89 = $356 against 4 x $87 = $348. So price does not decide it. Pick Reply.io if you want an AI SDR plan that writes and books for you; pick lemlist if part of the team only emails, because its email-only plan covers unlimited users for $69 a month.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

Both run email, LinkedIn, calls and SMS from one sequence, billed per user. What Reply.io changes, set against lemlist, is the AI on offer: a separate agent plan, Jason, that prospects, writes and answers on its own. lemlist keeps its AI inside the plans and pushes each mailbox more gently.

What decides it:

  1. Price the people who only email. For example, three sellers reaching 2,000 new people a month on four steps send 8,000 emails. On lemlist's Email plan that is $69 for up to 50,000 emails with unlimited users; on Reply.io's 2,000-contact Email Volume tier it is 3 x $69 = $207, using the lemlist and Reply.io pricing pages.
  2. Count the LinkedIn accounts and mailboxes you already have. Reply.io's Multichannel includes one LinkedIn account and one dialer per user and 5 mailboxes on monthly billing, 10 on annual, per its limits article. lemlist's Multichannel gives each user 5 senders plus LinkedIn, SMS and the dialer.
  3. Check what a new mailbox may send in month one. lemlist's sending limits guide keeps a new mailbox off cold email for about 40 days of warm-up and 14 of stabilisation, then starts it at 10 to 15 a day. If your launch date is next month, that matters more than the price.
  4. Choose the measure before the launch. Replies per channel, per person. Reply.io's Multichannel adds a channel efficiency report; on lemlist, keep one reputation signal running at all times, which its guide sets at one or two inbox placement tests a month or lemwarm at 10 a day.

Where they differ

How hard a mailbox is pushed

lemlist's limits guide sets the ceiling plainly: warm-up plus campaigns at or below 50 a day per mailbox, campaigns capped at 25 to 30, and more volume from more mailboxes rather than higher limits. Reply.io's ramp-up mode starts every new mailbox at 10 a day and adds 3 a day until it reaches 100, and its limits article allows up to 400 a day on paid plans. Neither number binds your mail provider, and the gap shows which vendor expects you to buy more mailboxes.

The AI on offer

Jason, Reply.io's AI SDR, is its own plan: from $500 a month on annual billing or $800 monthly for 1,000 active contacts with two LinkedIn accounts, per the pricing file. lemlist puts lemAgent, signal, enrichment and messaging agents, and its MCP server and CLI inside the $69 Email plan, per its pricing page. One sells an agent that works the pipeline; the other sells agents that help a person work it.

Data and credits

lemlist's enrichment add-on costs $20 a month for 2,000 credits, enough for 400 emails or 100 phone numbers, charged only for successful results and rolled over while the subscription runs, per its pricing page. Reply.io includes 50 live data credits a month on every plan and sells packs from $39 for 200, per its pricing file.

Prices, as listed on 24 October 2026

USD, checked on 24 October 2026 on the Reply.io pricing page and the lemlist pricing page. lemlist's Email plan steps from $69 for 50,000 emails to $89 for 100,000, $159 for 200,000, $359 for 500,000 and $659 for 1,000,000 on monthly billing, with 10% off quarterly and 20% off yearly. Reply.io's Email Volume is $59, $69, $79 and $99 per user for 1,000 to 5,000 active contacts, then $179 a month with unlimited users at 10,000.

Start with the free fortnight

Both trials last 14 days and test different things. lemlist's gives the Multichannel features except in-app calls, plus 200 credits, per its pricing FAQ, so LinkedIn steps can be tried without paying. Reply.io's trial runs on Email Volume features with two mailboxes and 300 active contacts; LinkedIn is an add-on you can buy during it, charged only for the days left. If LinkedIn is the reason you are buying, test it on lemlist's trial first, at no cost.

An agent step through MCP

lemlist's MCP article connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex to a workspace at app.lemlist.com/mcp, with OAuth and no key to store. Ask the assistant to audit last month's campaigns and propose which step to rewrite. It reads and drafts; a person decides. The article notes that ChatGPT asks for confirmation before any action that sends messages, spends credits or changes campaigns, so keep that confirmation on and read each change before approving it.

Grids drawn by one side

Reply.io's pricing file carries a "Reply vs Lemlist" grid that marks lemlist without unlimited mailboxes and without a centralized inbox. lemlist's own pricing page lists unlimited users and email senders on the Email plan and a unified inbox among its features. A vendor's comparison grid is sales copy with checkmarks: read every row against the other vendor's page before it shapes a decision.

Choose Reply.io if your job is

  • Adding an AI SDR that finds prospects, writes first touches and answers replies.
  • Running LinkedIn, calls and email for a team on monthly billing, where its seat is the cheaper of the two.
  • Paying for new people reached, with follow-ups unlimited, rather than for emails sent.

Choose lemlist if your job is

  • Mixing sellers who use LinkedIn with colleagues who only email, on the cheaper plan for each.
  • Ramping mailboxes conservatively, with the guardrails written into the help centre.
  • Working in French, German or Spanish, or paying in euros or pounds, as its pricing page offers.

When the tool is not the problem

If sales and marketing each run their own outreach tool and nobody owns the sequence end to end, switching vendors moves the overlap rather than removing it. That is a stack question, and my Startup Fixer week is built for it; I sell it, so weigh the suggestion with that in mind.

FAQ

Does lemlist's Email plan include LinkedIn steps?

No. LinkedIn automation, SMS and the dialer start on Multichannel, per the pricing page. The Email plan covers email, its people database, the AI agents, the MCP server and the deliverability tools.

What counts as an active contact on Reply.io?

A unique person who receives at least one outreach step in a billing month, whether email or a LinkedIn action, per the limits article. The count resets on your renewal date, not on the first of the month.

How long before a new lemlist mailbox sends cold email?

About 40 days of lemwarm ramp-up and 14 days of stabilisation, with no campaign until the Warmup Score reaches 90, per the sending limits guide. Reply.io starts new mailboxes on its ramp-up at once and recommends warming them first in MailToaster.
