The short answer: if each rep works their own list and prospects answer by email as often as on LinkedIn, lemlist's Multichannel plan puts both channels in one sequence for $109 per user a month; if one list has to go out through ten or more LinkedIn profiles, HeyReach's Growth plan falls to $59 a sender, so ten profiles cost $590 a month, for LinkedIn alone (monthly billing, lemlist pricing and HeyReach pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). Choose HeyReach if your job is volume across a pool of profiles answered from one shared inbox. Choose lemlist if your job is one rep's sequence in which an email, a profile visit and a LinkedIn message follow each other.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

LinkedIn allows neither. Its help page on prohibited software rules out third-party tools that automate activity on the site, warns that the member whose profile runs them can see the account restricted or closed, and adds that such tools can stop working without notice; section 8.2 of the User Agreement names bots that add contacts or send messages. Profiles pulled in from Sales Navigator are personal data as well, and the GDPR section of Apollo.io vs ZoomInfo sets out what that leaves with you. This page is for a team that has read all that and decided to carry the risk. The route inside the rules, an assistant drafting and the profile owner sending each message by hand, is in LinkedIn outreach with AI drafts, and it costs nothing.

Three sums before a trial:

  1. Four reps, or ten profiles. For example, four reps on lemlist Multichannel pay 4 x $109 = $436 a month, while the same four profiles on HeyReach Growth cost 4 x $79 = $316 and send no email. At ten profiles it is 10 x $59 = $590 on HeyReach against 10 x $109 = $1,090 on lemlist, from the HeyReach and lemlist pricing pages.
  2. The mailboxes you already pay for. If Instantly or Smartlead sends your email today, HeyReach connects LinkedIn to it through native integrations named on its homepage. If nothing sends email yet, lemlist includes five senders per user and lemwarm. A third build sits between: lemlist's $69 Email plan for unlimited users beside HeyReach is $69 + 4 x $79 = $385 for four profiles.
  3. Acceptance per profile, before and after. Log each profile's acceptance rate and replies by channel for four weeks before connecting anything. HeyReach's limits article asks senders to keep acceptance above 20%; hold either tool to that line, one profile at a time.

Two help centres, two invitation ceilings

You are not misreading the two help centres. lemlist's LinkedIn limits guide plans on about 20 invitations a working day and reads LinkedIn's cap as roughly 100 per rolling week; HeyReach's limits article defaults each sender to 25 a day and stops it at 200 a week. LinkedIn's own invitation limit page publishes no weekly number at all.

The note allowance is given four ways. lemlist's guide gives a free account 3 personalised notes a month and HeyReach's article 10, while LinkedIn says five on its invitation limit page and three on Personalize invitations to connect. Plan on three.

A sequence per rep, or a campaign per pool

HeyReach treats profiles as a pool. Tick any number of connected accounts as senders and one campaign spreads its leads across them; limits stay per sender and are shared across every campaign that sender is in, the first launched taking priority, per the rotation article. Replies land in one Unibox, where one person can answer for colleagues. Email goes to Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison.

lemlist treats the rep as the unit. One sequence can visit a profile, send an invitation, follow up by email, leave a voice message and end on a call task, and the pricing page puts the dialer, SMS and lemwarm on the same $109 seat. One is a switchboard for many profiles; the other is a script for one person.

The monthly bill at three team sizes

Team shapeHeyReach Growthlemlist Multichannellemlist Email plan plus HeyReach
One rep$79$109$148
Four reps$316$436$385
Ten profiles$590$1,090$659

Monthly billing in USD, checked on 26 October 2026 on the HeyReach pricing page and the lemlist pricing page; each cell is the per-profile price times the count, plus $69 in the last column. Billed yearly, HeyReach Growth shows $64 a sender under ten and $48 from ten, lemlist Multichannel $87 a user and the Email plan $55. HeyReach's Agency plan covers 25 senders for $999 a month, with proxies you bring yourself.

One agent step, with the send held back

lemlist's MCP server lets Claude or ChatGPT read the inbox and draft, and its tools reference flags the tools that act: listing conversations is read-only, while sending a reply and starting a campaign both ask for confirmation. So the agent pulls the threads marked interested and drafts an answer in the rep's voice from the CRM notes, and the rep confirms or rewrites each one. The reply leaves under that rep's name, so that rep presses yes.

HeyReach's MCP page offers to launch campaigns from a prompt; if you connect it, keep the launch a step a person takes in the app.

Free first, then the trials

Two weeks by hand cost nothing: invitations sent by the profile owner, follow-ups drafted by an assistant, results logged in the sheet from point 3, as the LinkedIn outreach use case lays out. That baseline is what a trial has to beat. Both trials are free: HeyReach's 14 days run three LinkedIn accounts without a card, and lemlist's 14 days open the Multichannel features with 200 credits.

Notice one default before connecting a profile. HeyReach's limits article asks the profile owner to stop acting on LinkedIn by hand while HeyReach runs, so once a profile is connected, every invitation it sends passes through the tool that bills for that profile. Decide who keeps the profile before the tool does.

Choose HeyReach if

  • One list should go out through several profiles, a team's or a client's, with one inbox for the replies.
  • Email already runs in Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison and only LinkedIn is missing.
  • You will connect ten or more profiles, where Growth drops to $59 each.

Choose lemlist if

  • Each rep runs their own sequence and replies arrive by email as often as on LinkedIn.
  • You want calls, SMS and warm-up on one seat rather than three tools.
  • One email plan for the whole team matters, at $69 a month with unlimited users.

Each tool on its own: the HeyReach entry and the lemlist entry, with the how-tos for HeyReach and lemlist.

If the harder part turns out to be the routine around the tool, an agent that reads both inboxes, drafts in each rep's voice and logs every answer to the CRM with a person signing off, that is a build my agentic marketing work covers; this is the one paragraph on the page where I sell something.

FAQ

Can lemlist rotate one campaign across several LinkedIn profiles?

The pages read here describe lemlist sequences per user (pricing page); rotating one campaign through a pool of LinkedIn accounts is what HeyReach's rotation article documents.

Does HeyReach send email?

No. It finds verified addresses and passes leads to Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison through native integrations, per its homepage, so the email bill sits with that second tool.

Does staying under these limits make the automation allowed?

No. The limits are each vendor's own pace. LinkedIn's prohibited software page names the tools, not a volume.
