Your ads already have pages. The only open point is whether you keep them. If they sit on your own site, a Shopify store or a client's CMS, and Meta carries part of the budget, pick AdAlign. It scores every live Meta and Google ad against whatever page it links to. The Growth band costs from €590 a month for up to €75,000 of monthly spend (pricing, checked on 27 October 2026). Run the free audit on one ad first. Instapage suits a different move, putting paid traffic onto new pages built in its editor. Create is $99 a month on monthly billing for 15,000 unique visitors. AdMap, the part that ties Google search ads to those pages, comes only with the custom-priced Convert plan, per its plans page.
Disclosure: I earn a commission if you buy AdAlign through a link on this page, and this page recommends it. Every claim about AdAlign links to AdAlign's own pages.
One builds the destination. The other checks the destination you already have. So the decision turns on one thing: whether you are willing to move your landing pages at all.
Before you move any pages:
- Price the traffic you buy. For example, 600 paid clicks a day for 30 days is 18,000 clicks. If most are distinct people, that passes the 15,000 unique visitors on Create and lands on Optimize, $199 a month or $159 billed annually, per the Instapage plans page. AdAlign's price follows ad spend in bands, not visitors (pricing).
- List where your ads point today. Export active ads and their final URLs from Google Ads and Meta. Count how many land on pages you could rebuild in Instapage, and how many sit on a store or a client's site you do not control. AdMap only connects Google search ads, per Instapage's AdMap help article.
- Decide what proves it worked. On Instapage, that is visitors, conversions and cost per lead in its page analytics (Instapage). On AdAlign, it is spend at risk: the monthly spend at the current pace on live ads scoring below 5, totalled per page (home page). Take the first reading before you change a page.
The two tools, row by row
| Question | AdAlign | Instapage | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| What is it? | Scoring and monitoring of every ad-to-page pair | Landing page builder with testing and personalisation | AdAlign how it works, Instapage home |
| Which pages? | Any public page an ad links to, Instapage pages included | Pages built in Instapage, hosted by it or published through WordPress or Drupal | AdAlign vs Instapage, Instapage plans |
| Ad platforms | Meta and Google Ads synced; TikTok, LinkedIn and Reddit by upload | AdMap: Google search ads only | AdAlign home, AdMap help |
| Access to your ad account | Read-only OAuth; never edits a campaign | Admin or Standard access in Google Ads; pushes page URLs into the ad's final URL | AdAlign home, AdMap help |
| Per-ad page versions | Text-only drafts in beta, published through the AdAlign tag with a holdout | Experiences per ad and audience, each starting as a copy of the page | AdAlign home, Instapage help |
| After launch | Pages re-checked daily and re-scored when they change | Page analytics; heatmaps on Convert | AdAlign how it works, Instapage plans |
Three differences that decide it
Write access against read access
AdMap needs Admin or Standard access to your Google Ads account. After you connect an ad to an experience and click Review & Push, Instapage writes that URL into the ad's final URL field (AdMap help). Handy when the account is yours. For an agency, it is a permissions conversation with every client. AdAlign reads ads, creatives, destination URLs and spend, and never edits a campaign (home page FAQ).
An exact parameter, or the default page
Instapage shows a personalised experience only when the URL in the ad matches that experience's parameters exactly. Anyone else gets the default experience, per its personalisation article. Exact matching is tidy. It is also unforgiving: an edited ad, a redirect that drops a parameter or a new ad pasted with the plain URL quietly sends people to the generic version. Nobody on the team did anything wrong there. The page simply stopped recognising the ad. AdAlign scores the page each live ad links to, and queues and scores new ads as they go live (home page). A pair that slipped back to the default shows up as a low score rather than a hunch.
Google can choose another page anyway
Opt into AI Max for Search and final URL expansion is on by default. It sends traffic to other pages on your domain that Google judges relevant to the query (Google Ads Help). The URL that AdMap pushed into the ad is then one of several destinations. Which page did your best search ad's clicks reach last week? Google's AI Max reporting article points to the landing pages report for that. Check it before you trust the map.
Prices side by side, checked on 27 October 2026
Instapage, from its plans page, in US dollars. Create is $99 a month on monthly billing or $79 billed annually, for 15,000 unique monthly visitors. Optimize is $199 or $159 for 30,000 visitors, and adds server-side A/B tests and dynamic text replacement. Convert is a custom quote, and adds AdMap, AI experiments, ad-to-page personalisation and heatmaps. A 14-day free trial is offered.
AdAlign, from its pricing page, excluding VAT, annual contract billed monthly: Growth from €590, Scale from €1,290, Portfolio from €2,490 and Enterprise on request. The band is set by total monthly ad spend, with unlimited seats and ad accounts. It opens with a €1,500 pilot that is credited to the first invoices.
Now read Instapage's plan table once more (plans). AdMap and ad-to-page personalisation, the two features built around the link between an ad and its page, sit on Convert alone. Convert is the one plan without a published price. So the $99 and $199 plans buy the builder, and the ad-to-page mapping arrives with a sales quote.
Choose AdAlign if your job is
- Checking the pages your ads already use, wherever they are hosted, without rebuilding them first (AdAlign vs Instapage).
- Covering Meta as well as Google, with every live ad scored automatically and the spend beside each score.
- Handing a client's web team a report that lists every ad pointing at their page, its share of spend and what to change (how it works).
Choose Instapage if your job is
- Building dedicated campaign pages quickly without developers, from its templates, blocks and AI copy.
- Running A/B tests and reading heatmaps on those pages inside the same tool.
- Mapping Google search ads to a page version per ad, and you are happy to host those pages on Instapage.
The two do not conflict. Build in Instapage and point AdAlign at the ad accounts. An Instapage page is scored like any other, and an edit that breaks the match shows up in the daily check (AdAlign vs Instapage).
Score one pair, then decide
The free route first. Take the ad with the most spend this month and run it through AdAlign's free audit with the page it lands on today, not the one in your brief. The overall score comes back in about 60 seconds without an account. Then check your next nine ads by hand, on a phone: the ad's headline, offer and button should all be visible before you scroll. If you want a page to rebuild into, Instapage's 14-day trial lets you build one first.
If the free scores keep landing under 5, AdAlign, which pays me a commission, will score every live ad in one account read-only on a demo call. The pricing page shows the band before you agree to the pilot. Background on the product is in the AdAlign glossary entry.
FAQ
Does AdMap work with Meta ads?
No. Instapage's AdMap article says only search ads are currently available for connection, and it connects them to published Instapage experiences.
Does AdAlign build landing pages?
No. It scores the relationship between an ad and the page it sends traffic to. With its tag installed, it drafts text changes you publish yourself. Building and hosting pages is a builder's job (AdAlign vs Instapage).
Can AdAlign change my Google Ads campaigns?
No. Its privacy policy says it does not create, modify, pause or delete ads, ad groups, campaigns, budgets or bids. Disconnecting revokes its tokens, and synced Google Ads data is purged within 30 days.
