The short answer: you are not misreading it: ZoomInfo's main pricing page still asks for a form, yet its developer site GTM AI, "by ZoomInfo", now prints a price list, with data credits at $410 for 1,000 and AI credits at $0.05 each, on the GTM AI pricing page. Hunter's Starter plan costs $49 a month for 2,000 credits, per its pricing page; all three were checked on 26 October 2026. If your job is finding addresses for a few hundred companies you already named, partners, publishers or an ABM list, Hunter does it for a fraction of the cost. If your job is feeding the CRM full records with phones, firmographics and buying signals for several teams, that is what ZoomInfo sells, and a credit there buys a whole record rather than one address.

Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.

Price one record both ways:

  1. Through the API, at 1,000 contacts. For example, Hunter's API-only Data Platform sells 1,000 search credits for $50 and 1,000 verification credits for $11, so 1,000 found and checked emails cost $61, or $0.061 each, per the Hunter pricing page. On GTM AI, 1,000 enriched contact records cost $410, or $0.41 each, and the first data purchase is discounted 70% for a limited time, to $123, per the GTM AI pricing page.
  2. Start from the fields your CRM uses. Open the routing and scoring rules you run today and list the fields they read. If the list is email, name and title, a ZoomInfo record carries a lot you will not use. If it includes headcount, revenue, technologies or intent, Hunter does not supply most of it.
  3. Score both on 100 accounts you know. Fill rate on those fields, then hard bounces on the first 200 emails. Decide the pass mark before either demo.

Hunter starts from a domain and returns the people it can find there, each address with its public sources, plus a sequencer to write to them. ZoomInfo sells a data foundation for sales, marketing and RevOps: 500M+ contacts and 100M+ companies on its homepage, with intent, org charts and AI agents on top.

What separates them

There are two ZoomInfos to price

One is the platform on zoominfo.com: Professional, Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise packages, priced on features, licences and credit usage, with integrations that usually carry a base cost and a minimum purchase of bulk credits, per its pricing FAQ. The other is GTM AI, headless access through MCP, API and CLI with a public price per credit and no contract. They draw on the same data. One detail matters if you already hold a contract: the MCP docs say some older subscriptions carry only recurring monthly credits, which MCP cannot use.

What lands in a record

A Hunter result gives the address, name, title, department, location, social profiles and the pages where the address was found, with company details beside it, per its Domain Search article. ZoomInfo's MCP enrichment adds company headcount, revenue, funding and technographics, and contact details including direct dials, per its MCP page. Fewer fields at a lower price, or more fields per credit: the CRM rules from the list above decide which you need.

Who controls the spend

Hunter puts every member on one shared pool. ZoomInfo lets admins set data and AI credit limits per user, and MCP respects them, per its credits docs. For a team that will hand an AI assistant to several people, that control is worth having before the first prompt.

One agent step: research first, enrich on a budget

Before anyone connects Claude to ZoomInfo, the admin sets the marketer's data and AI credit limits. The marketer then asks for Account Research on 20 target accounts, which the credits docs put at 5 to 15 AI credits a call. For example, 20 x 15 = 300 AI credits at most, which is 300 x $0.05 = $15 on the GTM AI price list. The marketer reads the 20 briefs and drops the accounts with no reason to talk now. Only the survivors get Enrich Contacts, at 1 data credit per new record and up to 10 records a call.

Prices, checked on 26 October 2026

Hunter, on its pricing page: Free at $0 for 50 credits a month; Starter at $49 monthly or $34 a month billed yearly for 2,000 credits a month; Growth at $149 or $104 for 10,000; Scale at $299 or $209 for 25,000. Data Platform credits are sold by volume: 1,000 search credits for $50 and 1,000 verification credits for $11.

ZoomInfo, two routes. The platform's pricing page shows packages and a form, no figures. GTM AI's pricing page sells data credits at $215 for 500, $410 for 1,000, $950 for 2,500, $3,800 for 10,000 and $25,000 for 100,000, with the unit price falling from $0.43 to $0.25, and AI credits at a flat $0.05.

GTM AI's pricing page leads with a promise to charge once per record per year, and the same page's FAQ says that guarantee, Records Under Management, is an Enterprise benefit that does not apply to the free tier, so a self-serve buyer who refreshes the same accounts every quarter buys those records again each time.

Buying contact data brings duties of its own under the GDPR; the GDPR section of Apollo.io vs ZoomInfo covers them.

Free first

Pick 50 target accounts. Spend Hunter's 50 free monthly credits on one decision-maker address at each, per its pricing page. On GTM AI, search is free and the 1,000 signup data credits cover enriching the same 50 people with room to spare. Put the two results side by side against the CRM fields from the list above. If Hunter's address is all the rules need, stop there.

Choose Hunter if

  • Your job is reaching people at companies you have already chosen, by email.
  • Several colleagues share one budget and need logins at no extra cost.
  • You want to see where each address came from before you use it.

Choose ZoomInfo if

  • Your job is filling CRM records with firmographics, direct dials and intent for sales, marketing and RevOps at once.
  • You want per-user credit limits before AI assistants start spending.
  • You will refresh the same accounts often enough to negotiate Records Under Management into an Enterprise contract.

More on Hunter in its glossary entry; ZoomInfo's own description is on zoominfo.com.

When three tools hold three versions of an account

If Hunter, ZoomInfo and the CRM each end up holding a different version of the same account, the stack is the problem rather than the data vendor, and a fixed one-week review like the Startup Fixer, which I sell, maps it before anyone buys more records.

FAQ

Does ZoomInfo publish prices now?

For GTM AI, yes: data credits from $215 for 500 and AI credits at $0.05, on the GTM AI pricing page, checked on 26 October 2026. The platform packages on zoominfo.com/pricing are still quoted after a form.

Does Hunter charge when it finds nothing?

No. An Email Finder search with no result is free, and a verification that ends as Unknown costs nothing, per the Hunter pricing FAQ.

Do ZoomInfo's free signup credits expire?

Yes. GTM AI credits, free or purchased, expire 12 months after they are granted, per its pricing FAQ.
