The short answer: an agency with 7 clients and 6 staff pays Sendible $199 a month on monthly billing for Premium, which holds 7 client workspaces, 42 profiles and any number of users (Sendible pricing, checked on 26 October 2026). On Hootsuite, six seats on Professional, the first tier without a 10-account cap, cost 6 x $199 = $1,194 a month billed annually, and post approvals start on Advanced at $399 a seat (Hootsuite plans). Hootsuite wins the brief when a client's Instagram DMs are the job.
Disclosure: I may earn a commission through some links on this site. It does not change what this page says.
Sendible is built around the agency's unit of work: one workspace per client, brand or location, each with its own calendar, inbox, reports and queues. Hootsuite is built around the person: every login is a seat, and the seat's tier decides how many accounts, which automations and which team tools come with it.
Count clients, then people:
- Price ten clients both ways. For example, Sendible Elite holds 15 workspaces for $299 a month on monthly billing, and every extra workspace you buy brings 6 more profiles; six staff on Hootsuite Advanced, the tier with approvals, cost 6 x $399 = $2,394 a month on annual billing (Sendible pricing, Hootsuite plans).
- List each client's networks and inbox habits. Sendible's FAQ says it does not support answering Instagram direct messages, and it offers no Google Business reports. A client whose customers write in by Instagram DM needs a different inbox.
- Keep a record of the approval rounds. For one month before the move, note how many times each post came back for changes and how many slots were missed. Compare the same two numbers after the first month in the new tool.

Three things that settle it
Freelancers and clients are free on one side
Agencies rarely have a fixed team. Sendible's plans include unlimited users, so a freelance designer for one month or a client's marketing manager costs nothing extra; what grows the bill is workspaces and profiles. Hootsuite's FAQ says plans are sold per user, so each of those people is a seat (Hootsuite plans). If your roster changes every quarter, that one line decides more than any feature.
Depth of the inbox
Sendible's inbox covers comment monitoring and replies, including Facebook ad comments, but not Instagram DMs (Sendible pricing). Hootsuite's inbox takes public and private messages on every plan, masks personal data, and from Professional adds DM automations and tag-based routing. An agency that runs care for a retailer is in Hootsuite's territory. One that runs calendars and reports for twelve B2B clients is not.
Where an assistant does part of the report
Sendible's AI is AI Assist in the compose box, which writes, tailors and shortens captions, and its guide says plainly that it never publishes on its own (AI Assist overview). Its route to agent platforms is Zapier, with actions to create, queue, approve or delete posts (Zapier guide). Hootsuite runs an MCP server for its publishing product, and its own sample prompt pulls 30 days of LinkedIn impressions and engagement and writes a short performance summary (Hootsuite MCP page). For a client recap that is half the work. The account manager then checks every figure in the summary against the analytics screen before the email goes to the client, because a recap with one wrong number costs more trust than it saves time.
What the agency pays

White label sits on top at Sendible: the pricing FAQ prices Elite with white label from $349 a month and Enterprise from $800.
Choose Sendible if
- Your job is running calendars, approvals and reports for many clients, with people who come and go.
- You want clients to connect their own accounts and approve posts inside a workspace of their own.
- You may resell the dashboard under your own brand.
Choose Hootsuite if
- Your job includes customer care in Instagram DMs and other private messages for a client or your own brand.
- The team is small and stable, so per-seat pricing stays predictable.
- You want listening, ads management and an MCP connector in the same contract.
Start without a card on file
Sendible's 14-day trial needs no card. Use it to set up two real clients, one through Client Connect and one with an approval workflow, before anything else. Hootsuite's 14-day trial also needs no card, with daily posting limited to 10 to 20 posts per organization and no bulk scheduling while it runs.
Sendible's FAQ says that if you add a card during the trial, you are billed automatically when it ends; leave it off and you are asked for one at the end instead (Sendible pricing). So the trial converts itself the moment someone enters a card early. Decide first, then add the card.
