Two Minute Reports vs Supermetrics: Seats or Sources

The short answer: consider Two Minute Reports if five or more people work in the same Google Sheets or Data Studio reports: Lite costs $97 a month, or $970 a year, with unlimited seats, all of its 30+ connectors and AI tools over MCP included, while five users on Supermetrics means Growth at $222 a month plus three extra users at $124 each, $594 on monthly billing (checked on 26 October 2026 on the Two Minute Reports plans article and the Supermetrics pricing page). Consider Supermetrics if one or two people report, if the readers live in Excel or Power BI, or if a source you need is not on Two Minute Reports' list; its Starter plan begins at $44 a month billed yearly.

Do the sums with your own team:
- People who build or run reports. For one person, Supermetrics Starter at $55 a month on monthly billing is cheaper than Two Minute Reports Lite at $97. For five, the order flips: $222 + 3 x $124 = $594 against $97, since Two Minute Reports includes unlimited seats on every current plan (plans article, Supermetrics pricing).
- Accounts on your busiest platform. Lite allows 3 accounts per connector and sells more at $10 a month each, so five Meta ad accounts cost $97 + 2 x $10 = $117. Supermetrics Starter also stops at 3 accounts per source and sells no extra accounts on that tier, so five Meta accounts mean Growth.
- The tool your readers open. Two Minute Reports delivers to Google Sheets or Google Data Studio, one of them in the base price (destination add-on). Supermetrics' core destinations add Excel and Power BI.
- How you will know it holds. Over the trial, count scheduled refreshes that failed and figures you had to correct by hand. That count, not the feature list, is what you are buying.

Answers come from the Two Minute Reports plans article, pricing page and AI tools overview, and from the Supermetrics pricing page and AI tools article.
Three differences that settle most cases
What the base price buys
Two Minute Reports sells the whole catalogue and limits depth: every connector is included, and the plan sets how many accounts each one carries. Supermetrics sells a short list and limits breadth: you choose three sources on Starter and six on Growth, then pay for more (pricing FAQ). An agency with many people on four or five common platforms fits the first model. One analyst who needs a niche source fits the second, as long as Supermetrics has it and Two Minute Reports does not.
Two destinations, or four and a warehouse
Two Minute Reports stops at Google's two reporting tools. Supermetrics adds Excel and Power BI to the same pricing model and, on Enterprise, BigQuery, Snowflake and other warehouses (warehousing page). If the finance team reads everything in Excel, that one fact decides it.
Where AI sits on the bill
On Two Minute Reports, Claude, ChatGPT and other tools sign in as you over MCP, a member needs no seat to connect one or to read, and an AI tool can do only what that person's role allows (AI tools overview). On Supermetrics, AI chats occupy a destination, so a Starter customer adds one or swaps one out (AI tools article).
Price list, 26 October 2026
Two Minute Reports, from its plans article: Lite $97 a month or $970 a year, Pro $297 or $2,970, Business $597 or $5,970, with euro prices of €86, €261 and €525 a month for eurozone accounts. Each extra account slot costs $10, $8 or $5 a month by plan, and the second destination $49 a month or $490 a year.
Supermetrics, from its pricing page: Starter $55 a month on monthly billing or from $44 billed yearly; Growth $222 or from $177; Enterprise quoted. On Growth, extra users cost $124 a month on monthly billing, $99 on yearly.
Which job each one wins
Choose Two Minute Reports if your job is an agency's client reporting in Google Sheets or Data Studio, run by a team where everyone needs to build or schedule reports, from the usual ad, analytics and ecommerce platforms. The how-to covers copying one sheet per client.
Choose Supermetrics if your job is one or two people reporting into Excel, Power BI, Sheets or Data Studio, on a source outside the 30+ list, with a warehouse likely next year.
An agent that can only read
Two Minute Reports documents an n8n route: an MCP Client node pointed at https://mcp.twominutereports.com/mcp, authenticated with an MCP key, on n8n 1.122 or later (n8n guide). Its MCP reference lets you give the key fewer permissions than your role, scope by scope, so a key with only data:read can run queries and cannot enable accounts, create clients or edit dashboards (MCP reference). The workflow runs a query each Monday, an AI Agent node writes three lines per client, and the account manager checks each figure against that client's sheet before the lines go into an email.
Free first, then the renewal date
Both trials run 14 days without a card, so build the same client report in each and keep the failure count from the list above. Two Minute Reports' pricing FAQ also offers a refund within 30 days of activation if you are not satisfied (pricing page).
Then diarise the renewal. The yearly card on the pricing page shows Lite at $81 a month, a figure reached only by paying $970 up front, and the page's FAQ accepts cancellation requests within 1 day of the renewal date, by email or chat. Renewal is what happens when nobody acts, so put the date in the calendar on the day you buy.
For each tool's plans in full, see the Two Minute Reports entry and the Supermetrics entry.
FAQ
Can Two Minute Reports send data to Excel or Power BI?
No. Its plans include one destination, Google Sheets or Google Data Studio, and the add-on buys the other of the two (plans article).
Is support included on Two Minute Reports Lite?
The plans article lists chat and email support with SLAs on Pro and Business, and not on Lite (plans article).
Does a teammate need a seat to read reports through Claude?
Not on Two Minute Reports: connecting an AI tool and reading need no seat, while changing anything does (AI tools overview).
